I bought this and the LG S45 for even cheaper and I prefer the latter. The Hisense’s rear speakers are tiny and tinny. It may be that I haven’t set it up properly but my tv is a Hisense also.
r/Soundbars • Anyone with experience using the Hisense HS5100? ->Oh yeah the S45 is 4.1 but it just sounds so much fuller generally. We haven’t found the dialogue muddy at all but we aren’t audiophiles. I’ll listen out this evening for that and maybe even compare the two systems with the same show. I have each set up on similar TVs.
r/Soundbars • Anyone with experience using the Hisense HS5100? ->I’m going to keep the LG and return the Hisense. Sound of LG is just richer. Nobody here thinks it’s muddy for dialog. Good luck.
r/Soundbars • Anyone with experience using the Hisense HS5100? ->Hey I got the same deal from Costco this week. One thing that's bugging me, the manual said this LG ThinQ app is available. Except I can't add the sound bar to the app. The app explicitly says it can only "find" equipment manufactured after 2024. The manual says there's a QR code somewhere on the bar, but it's nowhere to be seen. I couldn't find the app option to add through a QR scanner either. So I'm guessing this sound bar is not from LG's 2024 line-up and that's one explanation for such a good deal at Costco. Purge the old stuff. The remote control shenanigans for configuration feels so 1990's. I'm born in that era but don't miss the electronics hoops we were put through lol. Any luck with Alexa? Edit: typo
r/Soundbars • LG LG S45TR vs Samsung HW-B550D/ZC ->I’m already using samsung b550 2.1ch 2022 model from past 2 years now and just bought LG S45TR because it was only for $149 at costco. I did the whole comparison side by side, i set all the settings for LG from the app as the remote is garbage, u need to have the app to play with sound settings and tone settings whereas samsung offers better experience as everything can be set from the remote itself. Trust me i did the comparison with same settings on both; subwoofer set to max and the my samsung one with 2.1 ch surround is far far better than the LG 4.1 ch system. Samsung set to even 15% volume is way more powerful than LG set to 30% volume. If you’re going to watch movies only then yes go for LG as the 2 rear speakers make a lot of difference in vocals and surround sound but if you listen to songs + movies then hands down samsung is way better in sound quality. Also if you are a deep bass lover like me which was the main reason i love my samsung one as LG is not even close to samsung in terms of bass. There are very less reviews on this LG soundbar so i hope my review will help you to pick the right one.
