I have the s70ty since it was on sale at Walmart for $230. I like it but the lack of bass is kind of annoying. They also really need to get rid of those massive ports on these small subs. Sure it helps add some bass but id prefer the tight bass with no port.
If I had to buy a soundbar for my G5 today, I'd get the S70TY. It has everything I look for in a soundbar (full use with my tv remote, Dolby atmos and wow orchestra) and is reasonably priced (you can find it here for $229). Of course I want a LG soundbar to perfectly integrate with my tv system and given your tv is a LG too I guessed it would have been a good recommendation.
Given the fact you dont wanna bother your neighbors, I'd recommend to soundbars 1. Samsung Q600F, the soundbar is a 3.1.2ch, the subwoofer size is just right for an apartment living area. I personally use this and it is perfect. I got it on sale for like 250. 2. The LG SPM7A, a bit older but does the job and retails for 299. If you cant find that, the LG S70TY is also worth a look. Go with the samsung if you can find a good deal. Dont get anything bigger as the sub will rattle your neighbors. Also use a cut up yoga mat or foam under the sub so it reduces vibrations on the floor, which travel fast.

I recently got an LG S70TY. It meets my needs, but I am curious as to what others think of it. I paid less than $250 for it.
Just got one myself and an LG s70TY. Hooked up the LG first to match it with the LG TV, but want to try out the other to compare. So many sound settings on the LG, I don’t know how aim going to be able to decide!
idk about your sound preference but i prefer lower bass in home theaters over upper bass ones here Lg has a edge over lower bass and immersiveness in watching movies in comparison to sony. I got lg s70ty last week and i find it pretty powerful the only con is that there is no display otherwise the setup is really good and sounds amazing. I tested out the speakers by playing avengers infinity war trailer on multiple systems but this one got my ears in an instant so i decided to get this one...lol.
Hello! Recently I just upgraded my TV system to a 55" G4 and with it I got a new soundbar. in particular its the LG US70TY, which i believe is an improvement over my Sony HT-X8500 soundbar. I've also ordered 2 wireless rear speakers for the US70TY the LG SPT8-S.AEUSLLK speakers. However I've also just been offered the LG USC9S soundbar for roughly £100 more. From what I can find online these both seem like very good soundbars but would it be worth the extra money? I can't find an exact comparison online and different sites have different ratings for each. As far as i can see online the 2 rear speakers I ordered should still be compatible with the LG US9S. the main features I'm wondering about are: Are those 2 extra upward fitting speakers better? what is imax enhanced audio and should I worry about missing out on it? Am I right in my research that the rear speakers i ordered are compatible? What are people's thoughts on these 2 sound bars? any recommendations between the 2? I'm not an expert myself
its great but I don't know how they compare to others. I think it probably could be better. I got mine free with the tv, don't think i souls pay asking price for them but I've just received the wireless rear speakers today I'm sure they will enhance them nicely!
LG S70TY. Insanely good budget soundbar for my 77 inch c5. The c5 definitely needed this thing because the sound sucked before. I rock a lg cx 65 and the sound is amazing on it. C5 needs a soundbar for sure.
