Should I not buy one off of fb marketplace for $420 the LG S80TR?
r/Soundbars • Help me with decision: LG S80TR is good option? ->I bought it for $350 but it’s been really good. The sound is so much better than I expected
r/Soundbars • Help me with decision: LG S80TR is good option? ->Funny, I just bought the 65" QM751G for $639 (clearance sale at BestBuy) and the S80TR for $250 from Walmart yesterday. I feel super lucky to have found those deals right when I needed them for the place I'm moving to.
r/Soundbars • Help me with decision: LG S80TR is good option? ->Based on my sample size of 1, I don’t suggest Vizio. Mine started fine, but something changed somewhere and it stopped receiving surround sound signals from my TV. As time went on it was giving me more troubles. I just got an LG 5.1.3 that has been great so far. I didn’t think the Vizio sounded bad, but the LG sounds better, especially when it comes to the surrounding effects, I notice them way more. All that to say though, I got a crazy deal from Walmart for mine so it may not be in your $650 range normally.
r/Soundbars • Hey guys, I made the mistake of going to the Hometheater snob Reddit. My bad, I apparently needed to be here. Lol ->To be specific, I got the LG S80TR Edit: Looks like you are correct, it’s currently on sale for $550.
r/Soundbars • Hey guys, I made the mistake of going to the Hometheater snob Reddit. My bad, I apparently needed to be here. Lol ->LG S80TR gets my vote! better height presence
r/Soundbars • [India] Best Soundbar under ₹25K in 2025? Samsung Q600F vs B750F vs JBL SB590 — Need Real Advice! ->I just picked up an LG S80TR last week. It's 5.1.3 with sub and rears. Down to $549 US at Best buy and Amazon. I know this sub prefers Samsung 990, but I am happy at the price point I paid.
r/Soundbars • What’s a good soundbar for under $700? ->Depends on the size of your space really. I had the S80TR and it was undersized for my living room (20ft high ceilings + open floor plan), so I upgraded to the Samsung Q990D. Big difference for the better, especially the voice clarity. We moved the LG S80TR to our bedroom (14x20 + 9ft ceilings) and it is just right. Voice clarity with the S80TR is excellent for the bedroom, but just didn’t cut it for the larger space in the living room.
r/Soundbars • is the 5.1.1 channel LG Home Theater Soundbar with Dolby Atmos and Rear Speakers S70TR good? ->i bought it for 250 from Walmart 2 days back. i have a small room so it works really well. the sub definitely does not give that much thump but u can adjust that using LG app to a certain extent. dolby atoms is something that i am yet to sense while using this. please post here if someone knows LG has released update to fix the bass
r/Soundbars • Help me with decision: LG S80TR is good option? ->Literally takes 10 min and it sounds good
r/Soundbars • Help me with decision: LG S80TR is good option? ->Check your local FB Marketplace and eBay for new listings of LG S80TR and S90TR. A lot of people (myself included) got a LG OLED + Soundbar deal during Black Friday but have no use of the soundbar. I sold my brand new S80TR within your price range. Plus, since it's a LG soundbar, it goes nicely with your C3 using the WOW Orchestra feature.
r/Soundbars • Recommendations in $250-350 price range? ->IMO the S80TR is the best bang for your buck considering your C3. You could look into shipping options from eBay or even FB. Shipping probably costs an additional $60. Bottomline is, the lowest price for the S80TR is $450 directly from LG during sales. There may be additional discount codes if you chat with an LG online rep. The time-money trade-off will be up to you... Good luck! Also, [rtings.com](http://rtings.com) has good info, in case you haven't checked.
r/Soundbars • Recommendations in $250-350 price range? ->Have the S80TR that I use with my 48" C4 & PC. Love it. Fits my desk and TV/monitor perfectly. I got mine at a reasonable price at $449 on sale. The rear speakers make a big difference
r/LGOLED • Soundbar Options for a 77” G4 / C4 ->For my 48” C4 I use the S80TR for mostly playing games. My main media room I still use my old S90QY soundbar and I purchased the rear speakers before they discounted them. It’s not a huge room it made sense to not go the “top of the line” route.
r/LGOLED • Soundbar Options for a 77” G4 / C4 ->Just to close this post. I have installed the soundbar, I liked the results, easy to configure, no issues with the speakers and subwoofer pairing, good options regarding the eARC and sound formats, they upgraded the LG ThinkApp to recognize the soundbar, it was very straightforward to connect to the WIFI and check the firmware updates (it was already with the latest firmware). The whole experience, at least for the size of my living room is very satisfactory, the subwoofer that many said not powerful enough, for me it is OK, maybe I do not have a great expectation for this, I installed this in parallel with my old Onkyo, I kept my old system connected thru optical directly to the TV in order to keep my old BluRay and legacy formats like Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. I only used the best HDMI cables to ensure the quality (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S196T4Z?ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_fed\_asin\_title&th=1), I gave a 9 from 10 in my experience so far, I will keep using and see how it improves my whole experience with this soundbar, I came from the AV models with real speakers, that's why I kept my old buddy Onkyo, and I will probably pursuit a better configuration in the future with a real home theater setup.
r/Soundbars • Help me with decision: LG S80TR is good option? ->Just to close this post, I waited for 1 week and price dropped for 526 USD. Just bought, I hope it will give me what I want. Unfortunately, I did get too much support here on Reddit, I was expecting at least some comments about this system.
r/Soundbars • Help me with decision: LG S80TR is good option? ->I’ve had one for a while. It is paired with a 55in LG C4 that I bought last year around the same time. For watching TV and movies, it’s….OK….and I do mean just OK… Forget listening to music on it. As many have mentioned, and I saw even before I bought it, there were mentions of underwhelming low end/bass performance. Well, they were all correct. It does well with highs and mids, but bass performance is severely lacking. Also, for reference, I am using this setup in a 12x12 BEDROOM. When I listen to music, I use portable bluetooth speakers that all sound better than this soundbar system and are a fraction of the size. If I had it to do all over again, I would have done more research and got something better. I may still even look into replacing it the next time I get a super profitable business month. I hear really good things about Sonos.
r/Soundbars • Help me with decision: LG S80TR is good option? ->Thinking more about this, honestly, the hardware is likely fine. I hate to think of giving up on this setup. I KNOW the sub can kick… I can hear it during the room calibration process. The issue is the software and programming. Apparently if you crank the hell out of the system it will eventually kick, but then it’s all way too loud by then. So, it’s on LG with the software fail. I would love for them to fix this via firmware and or app updates or if you could somehow load a modded/fixed firmware on this system as I’ve read about others doing with other audio products.
r/Soundbars • Help me with decision: LG S80TR is good option? ->Yeah, it’s unfortunate. I’m giving LG one and only shot to address this. I’ve reached out to their main support chat, and also found a form that supposedly emails the LG President’s office about this. I’ve also tweeted at them on X. Basically, I’ve tried numerous avenues to gain their attention for a possible fix. If that fails, I’ll likely end up trying to unload my system on Facebook Marketplace and replace it with something better. I’d rather LG pony up and address this and solve this not just for me, but everyone. But, I’m not holding my breath on that as LG doesn’t strike me as a company that’s ready to jump at customer suggestions to fix their lack-luster product offerings in certain categories.
r/Soundbars • Help me with decision: LG S80TR is good option? ->I have an LG S80TR that I am working on selling. Replaced with a JBL Bar 500MK2. The LG’s are severely lacking in bass and low end. The hardware is capable, but LG has crippled the sub with bad firmware/programming. I’ve tried to reach out to LG to discuss this, but, they don’t care at all.
r/Soundbars • is the 5.1.1 channel LG Home Theater Soundbar with Dolby Atmos and Rear Speakers S70TR good? ->Installed today. Great sound system!!!! If you get this for $300 or less, it’s a great system. In my opinion.
r/Soundbars • Help me with decision: LG S80TR is good option? ->I just installed mine. I got it for 312$ at Best Buy. The sound is ok. I need to mess with settings.
r/Soundbars • Help me with decision: LG S80TR is good option? ->I got an open box item, there was minor scratches behind the soundbar but everything else was sealed
r/Soundbars • Help me with decision: LG S80TR is good option? ->I just got an S80TR and I really like it. I'm not in it for the Atmos because I suspect it's just a gimmick but it does a good job creating room from filling around at a decent price.
r/Soundbars • Recommendations in $250-350 price range? ->I had the same requirements as you, and I said "screw it, if I'm spending all this money on a TV, bluray player, 4k movies, ect" I might as well spend a couple hundred more on average sound. I went with the 'LG S80TR', once I figured out I needed a phone app to balance the sound and did so, it's amazing. I'm absolutely not a sound guy which probably helps, but it's very impressive to me.
r/Soundbars • Absolute best soundbar for gaming/movies on LG C4 under $400-$500 ->Just got LG S80TR system bundled with my new LG OLED. Coming from an old Bose Accoustimass 1500 wired to Yamaha Receiver. The Bose sub was unbelievable…shook the whole house. Unboxing the S80 tomorrow to see how that system compares. Will update after.
r/Soundbars • RTing's LG S95AR Soundbar Review has it scoring the highest Height effects at 7.2 ->Set it up tonight. Sub bass is, as reported, a bit underwhelming by comparison to my Bose one but other than that I find the sound quality impressive and love the Bluetooth rear speakers with surround sound for true Dolby Atmos effects. ThinQ app makes it easier to control than remote since the led display is hard to see from the couch. All in all, I think it’s a definite improvement over my existing Verizon Soundbar Pro by B&O since you need more than that for Dolby Atmos sound. Will research the S95AR since I still have a few days left to return and upgrade if difference is significant.
r/Soundbars • RTing's LG S95AR Soundbar Review has it scoring the highest Height effects at 7.2 ->Just returned the S80TR today. After experiencing it side-by-side with my existing soundbar, I concluded that I liked the virtual Dolby Atmos on the soundbar more than the physical with surround speakers. Also, the center speaker just didn’t produce the rich full dialogue tones as my soundbar, the tones were tinny and echoing by comparison. Thinking about getting a new Atmos receiver and setting up my Bose wired home theater again.
r/Soundbars • RTing's LG S95AR Soundbar Review has it scoring the highest Height effects at 7.2 ->Just got the S80TR set up in my new apt. Coming from a wired 7.1 Bose Accoustimass 1500 system with Yamaha receiver, the comparison really falls short, especially when it comes to subwoofer. That said, however, since this was bundled with my new 77 C4 at a 50% discount and the speakers are Bluetooth wireless, except for the power plugs, I probably will end up keeping it, since I wouldn’t be able to run wires all over my apt to use the Bose system. Also, I read that, to get true Dolby Atmos with the Bose I might need to get extra height speakers as opposed to the 3 surround ones. Lastly, I think that a more powerful sub might actually lead to noise complaints from my neighbors.
r/Soundbars • Help me with decision: LG S80TR is good option? ->Just returned the S80TR…soundbar wasn’t the rich sound I’m used to and the sub wasn’t impressive. Not a bad system for action movies but dialogue was just to tinny with an echo.
r/Soundbars • is the 5.1.1 channel LG Home Theater Soundbar with Dolby Atmos and Rear Speakers S70TR good? ->Hey everyone, Just wanted to update that I decided to go with the LG unit and bought it from LG online store. The customer care chat offered a few coupons, bringing the price down from 39,990 INR to 35,190 INR. With additional bank credit card offers, the final price went down to 31.5K INR. I'm now awaiting delivery and will soon update my user experience review here. Thanks for sharing your input and suggestions!
r/Soundbars • LG Soundbar SQ75TR 5.1.1Ch vs. Sony HT-S40R 5.1ch - Which is better? ->Hey! Sorry for the delayed response—I’ve been off Reddit for a few days. After comparing both Sony and LG, I found that the LG offers more features and power, which justifies the price difference. I’ve shared a detailed review in my original post if you’d like to check it out. Regarding the HDMI port heating issue, I’ve also come across similar concerns on Reddit and was initially worried. However, I haven’t experienced this with my unit, even with heavy usage. My TV is wall-mounted and the soundbar is placed on top of an open unit with sufficient space between the ports and wall. That said, I did get the unit during winter, so I can’t fully comment on potential heating issues during hotter months. Since your TV is a Sony, a Sony audio unit might be a better choice for compatibility. If you’re not particular about Atmos content and are okay with less power, using an additional receiver for rear speakers, and no video passthrough, the S40R is a solid option. Otherwise, I’d recommend the LG unit without hesitation due to the feature differences. This is just my suggestion—the final decision is, of course, yours!
r/Soundbars • LG Soundbar SQ75TR 5.1.1Ch vs. Sony HT-S40R 5.1ch - Which is better? ->That's what I had was the s80 and I thought it was just ok but the sub was TERRIBLE
r/Soundbars • RTing's LG S95AR Soundbar Review has it scoring the highest Height effects at 7.2 ->Samsung Q990D is a recommended soundbar but in my opinion; if you have LG OLED TV like me, LG soundbar would be the best. The reason is LG WOW Orchestra feature. I live in an apartment and the sound passes to the neighbors a lot, they balanced the sound very well with WOW Orchestra, so I can use the soundbar all the time, neighbors are not disturbed.
r/Soundbars • What is the Best Surround Sound System? ->If you want WOW orchestra to be a crucial part of your experience then go the LG. If you don’t care about the feature. See if about the q930d or 990d if you’re able to get a good discount via Samsungs website.
r/LGOLED • I need suggestions with soundbars ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
