I think the LG S90TR is looking like the best mid-range pick this year, 7.1.3 Atmos, great dialogue clarity, and solid bass for the price. The Samsung HW-Q800D is another strong option if you want something punchy and immersive. If you’re short on space, the Sonos Beam Gen 2 is still a really solid compact choice.
r/Soundbars • What's your pick for the best mid-range soundbar of 2025? ->I really enjoyed the S90TR demo i had today vs the jbl 1300 and Q990f. LG isn't that bad i dont understand the hate
r/Soundbars • RTing's LG S95AR Soundbar Review has it scoring the highest Height effects at 7.2 ->I can recommend the LG S90TR 🙂
r/Soundbars • What’s a good soundbar for under $700? ->See if you can get an LG S90TR. That model should be cheaper than the new S95AR. I've been pretty happy with mine. Though I do wish it put out more bass from the sub.
r/LGOLED • Soundbar recommendations? ->I got an open box (rated excellent) from Best Buy for $637 (+tax) for the LG S90TR. Haven't set it up yet.
r/Soundbars • Is the Q99d the best thing on the planet? That’s all I see in this community. Does anyone use something different? I have a Bravia Bar 8 for example ->So I just got out set up, aside from the rear speakers. NOT very impressed 🤬 I have it set with the Orchestra setting, and I'm not seeing any of the reported delays (yet), but the sub is no better than my old SLY8G!!! I'm not hearing any "thump"! Additionally, with the SLY8G I couldn't turn the soundbar volume up over maybe 17. The S90TR needs to go upwards of 40-50! WTF?! Someone else posted about tweaked settings, so I have to check that. Right now, I'm not seeing it live up to the hype - or the cost. Sure, it's handy to be all wireless, but right now, that's the only plus I'm seeing. 😕

The best thing about the LG is that the sound systems are compatible with the OLED's so not only are they easy to set up, they use what's called WOW which adds the TV speakers to the mix.
r/Soundbars • Whats a good, quality soundbar for the price? ->I got my LG S90TR for free with my LG G4 tv and I still wanted to return it. It's not the S95TR but I can't imagine it's very different. I have the Q990C and used it side by side with the S90TR and like I said, I would've returned the S90TR if I had the option. For example, listening to dialogue in a video game was very disappointing. It was very 'tinny' and the sound was hallow. Going back to my Q990C after hearing that was night and day. I like the Q990C so much that I bought a 2nd one for my gaming PC
r/Soundbars • Q990D or S95TR for LG TV? ->The S90TR is great, however if you’re willing to save a bit more, get a receiver and speakers. People are already saying this in these comments, but it’s true. If you’re not huge on sound, then soundbars are certainly good enough. A soundbar, subwoofer, and 2 rear speakers with 7.1.3 channel audio and supports Dolby Atmos is certainly great, especially for $700. But for a bit more, you can get a Yamaha receiver, and 2 MartinLogan speakers. If you haven’t heard those, they’re fucking peak. Like straight up the best on the market for sound quality. May as well pair the best sound quality with the best picture quality. If not, you wont go wrong with the S90TR. Just gauge what your priority is and go for it.
r/LGOLED • I need suggestions with soundbars ->Check your local FB Marketplace and eBay for new listings of LG S80TR and S90TR. A lot of people (myself included) got a LG OLED + Soundbar deal during Black Friday but have no use of the soundbar. I sold my brand new S80TR within your price range. Plus, since it's a LG soundbar, it goes nicely with your C3 using the WOW Orchestra feature.
r/Soundbars • Recommendations in $250-350 price range? ->I have the q990d and I love it!! Upgraded from the LG S90TR. Massive difference
r/Soundbars • Help me pick ->Samsung Q990D is a recommended soundbar but in my opinion; if you have LG OLED TV like me, LG soundbar would be the best. The reason is LG WOW Orchestra feature. I live in an apartment and the sound passes to the neighbors a lot, they balanced the sound very well with WOW Orchestra, so I can use the soundbar all the time, neighbors are not disturbed.
r/Soundbars • What is the Best Surround Sound System? ->If you want WOW orchestra to be a crucial part of your experience then go the LG. If you don’t care about the feature. See if about the q930d or 990d if you’re able to get a good discount via Samsungs website.
