UK based here - I bought the 990f from amazon a few months ago when it dropped to £799 and for that price its a really good buy - not sure it's good value at over £1000 though. I have a 4 year old Samsung 900A in my bedroom with the 950 rears - and I am still constantly impressed by it - bought with a cashback deal for around £500 in the good old days. I have a LGSN11RG in another room I picked up used for around £400 about 4 years ago - I've struggled with the LG - but am happy with it now - again for the price paid I'm not complaining. I am disabled and can spend days - sometimes weeks confined to bed - so I enjoy having a nice picture sound in vatious rooms around the house - and the rooms don't allow for a dedicated atmos amp etc - in my opinion it's all about performance and value. If the 990F Drops in price again - then I would absolutely consider it. I personally have no problem with the sub.

If you can find an LG SN11RG buy it. Bought it few years ago and its just amazing. Dolby atmos 7.1.4 with speakers firing up (4). You can use it without rear surround speakers also. I only use the rears when watching movie. For regular stuff only front or tv speaker. And it is a wide soundbar. 1.5-1.6m wide so it looks also good with the tv. Having an 1.5-2m wide tv and an short soundbar looks just funny.

Exactly! They just lack so much depth and I felt like I was missing detail. My first sound bar was the Samsung curved H7500. The only reason I got it was because Best Buy had it on clearance for $45 in 2015. How could I say no? When I upgraded, I decided to get the LG SN10YG with the wireless rear speaker kit. I didn't hear it in the store, but reviews said it was good and I felt like having an actual surround sound experience would be amazing. It was such a disappointment and it sounded worse than my old Samsung. I returned it within the week, because it was just so bad. LG's best, was worse than Samsung's best from 5-6 years before it.

Well I immediately see its missing the Klipsch Flexus Core 300 coming in at 54", the Vizio Elevate from years ago is 48.1". Bowers and Wilkins formation bar is 49". The Sony Bravia 9 is 51.2". LG SP11RA, SN11RG, SN10YG, SK10Y are all 56.8". This list is terribly invalid. Not trying to "correct you", more so just point out how inaccurate chat GPT can be

I use an lg soundbar sn11rg with Dolby Atmos and I really enjoy it. I used to pair it with an lg tv, but since upgraded to a better Samsung tv. It worked great with both, so I don't think you need to match brands.
