Honestly the 930 is like 90% of a 990...youre only losing the two side firing drivers in the surrounds, and the bar itself is larger with a little more power, sub is different. But to be honest the 930 is so powerful you'd probably be hard pressed to hear a difference between it and the 990. Even rtings.com came to that conclusion, that the 990 isn't improved enough to justify the cost difference. Only downside, and only for those that need the soundbar input is it's limited to 4k/60. I just use it as the video for my Rpi for my pihole which can only do 4k/60 anyways. Everything else runs through tv passthrough back to bar.
We already barely use the 930, I'd never get the goody out of a 990. There really just isn't that much difference to be worth the extra.
I'd never hear the difference. We set ours to like 10-12 for daily use and maybe 20-25 for a movie. If the wife is home max is about 16-18. If I'm home alone max is about 30. The things is vibrating doors on the first floor at 30...a few more watts and a few drivers ain't doing me no good.
LG Soundbar with subwoofer. Take a look if it is compatible with DTS and Dolby Audio. I have a SNH5 and it is quite good.
The major issue with LG soundbars is latency if you send dts audio to them. I own a SNH5, which sounds amazingly well with that whooping subwhoffer, but latency is noticeable even paired with a LG C4.
