I own LG Sp8a and even without the rears I can honestly say it provides epic sound clarity and super smooth bass, I have experience with many top tier headphones by Sennheiser and Share and can tell it provides excellent sound stage as well. But then everyone has their own likes/expectations. I got it for around $300 here in India and I can confidently say it's one of my best purchases ever when it comes to audio products.

I also bought it today from reliance digital for 23300, croma didn't deliver at my address. I have kept the mode to music with meridian and turned on the surround sound option and the dts and Dolby vision options on and I love it

Got it directly from LG website for 23750 with first purchase coupon. Used kiwi yes bank rupay cards to get instant 2 percent cb. Effective 23300/- Got delivered in 2 days Using only cinema mode for all content. Change woofer settings to 6 Top firing to 4 Center to 3 Bass to 2 Treble to 2 Surround on always Found this settings in YouTube shorts. Liked it for all content. But do let me know if someone has diffrent settings. Meridian tuning not sure how effective it is. But I didn't like it. I am not a bass lover. But I feel the music mode is too suttle for my taste.

They didn't offer me any installation I just got it unpacked by taking video incase of any issues with product i can claim it from them. I didn't even know they are offering installation for free. As soon as I got. I unpacked and installed it Use ARC or eARC HDMI cable , it doesn't come with box. My TV doesn't support eARC , so just got the normal HDMI with arc support. At the beginning , I connected it differently. Due to which my TV was not supporting Dolby Vision or HDR content. I have Google TV dongle connected to HDMI IN of sound bar and HDMI out of soundbar to TOSHIBA U7980 HDMI ARC port. Although sounds were working fine and was giving Atmos support. The ARC cable had issue carrying the Dolby Vision or HDR content. So I changed my setup again. Connect GOOGLE tv directly to HDMI in of Toshiba TV and from Arc port of TV connected the soundbar HDMI IN port. Now I am getting Dolby vision + Dolby Atmos support. But only issues the surround is not that effective. I know it's virtual. But even virtual is not that great..may be my ceiling it too high to reflex the sounds. For small media room this sound bar might give slight surrounds effect. For my hall it's not adding benefit. But the sound is crystal clear with the settings mentioned above. Rest all the settings sounded Meh. Especially Meridian tuned. Not sure if it's overrated or my taste is Meh

Ima tell you two things about rear speakers not connecting… 1 a lot of un-tech savvy people want they hand in the pie of soundbars and don’t understand how radio technologies work. therefore, stop relying on reviews unless it’s a person with many of them on YouTube. Radio signals cross and interrupt speakers all damn day it’s know what’s causing it. 2 I own the lg Sp8ya no I’m not rush and no I did not pay $800… I bought the rear speakers kit, plug it up and for a few it worked no issue. Hours in sound started cutting out. I had my wifi router to close to the soundbar it even acted weird when I had my phone next to it. I learned ok they cannot be near each other. And since then I haven’t had that issue at all! My gf had the Samsung with rear speakers she doesn’t have any issues router is across the room!

Did you get it installed by LG? I’ve just bought it and I’m confused as to why LG is making me wait for the technician to install. Should be just plug and play.

Yeah. I ended up installing by myself as well. Tbf, the technician called, it was just plug and play so did it myself. And yeah, agree with the virtual surround in most part. There have been like 2-3 instances where I felt like the sound was coming from the sides (didn’t really feel any overhead effects though) mostly while playing content from Apple TV+. I guess surround might work better at a higher volume. I rarely went over 25. Otherwise it’s just okay. But I really liked the overall clarity. Vocals are crystal clear. Music mode felt meh though. I keep it on Cinema at all times. That’s when the up firing speakers are on by default as per the manual.
