Habari, congratulations on your purchase great setup. Problem is where you put the sub. It’s better being on the floor in a corner about 6 inches or 12 centimeters from the walls. Also you can adjust the bass levels on it and confirm that you are connected via HDMI eARC. Movie preset also adds more bass from my experience with the TCL Soundbars. Try this and let us know if it’s any better.

Some subs need you to “crawl” to find the best placement. Once you find that sweet spot then you’ll get thumping bass. But I agree Sony audio systems are good problem is you pay a premium for some features that you can get on brands such as TCL.

I got the Q65H on sale at Best Buy for $250 during prime day week. I also took advantage of a shopping portal offer that dropped the total price down another $41. I am VERY pleased with the system for the $225 I paid after tax. This is my very first soundbar purchase so I'm a terrible judge of its quality vs. other soundbars. But I can tell you I've been super impressed with it in my testing over the past few days. It is very powerful for its slim size, and the clarity is very hi-fi and full sounding.  The regular settings seem well balanced to my ears for most content I've watched. But it gives you just enough options to adjust it when the bass needs to be boosted or the voices need to be amplified. It does a great job with regular stereo mixes, but you can REALLY tell when a movie/show with a proper surround sound mix and soundtrack is playing. Really awesome. The bass rattling through your body is next level. It also does a great job with all the music I listened to on it on Spotify and YouTube. From classical to electronic. The only thing I've been disappointed by is the AI sonic feature. It's supposed to fine tune the speaker levels based on your room size and seating position. But it made the sound worse and flatter in all of my testing.  Lastly I think it looks somewhat nicer and more elegant vs. the ugly boxy plasticky Samsung models that are so popular here on this subreddit. And an added plus for some TCL tv owners like me is the exterior matches my 65" q750g QLED perfectly. Two thumbs up all around. Great budget solution for people that want a proper hifi 5.1 surround system without the separate surround speakers. Should work  great in most medium sized rooms like mine. I honestly think it's overkill for small rooms. I haven't gone above 30/100 yet on the volume setting. And my wife yells at me when I go above 20 when I'm with her lol.

I did, but returned it. One (non-incentivized) review of the Q75H described the sound as muddled which TCL compensates by playing louder. This is true of the Q65H as well. TCL loves to pay people for 5 star reviews. I bought a JBL BAR 700.

I’m pretty happy with my Roku 5.1 surround. It’s very budget and only useful if your tv is a Roku

I got the q65h about two weeks ago on offer with a tv. Ended up costing 150 AUD. For that price it's very very good imo.
