Multiple Brands (Roku and TCL) - Q85H

At first glance, the only difference is that the Hisense AX5140Q, as its name suggests, has four superior channels for greater immersion. If you have streaming services, or even Blu-rays (which offer the best audio experience due to their uncompressed formats like TrueHD + Atmos or DTS-HD + DTS-X), that take full advantage of Dolby Atmos audio, these are two soundbars that won't disappoint. An added bonus is DTS-X compatibility, which, although not widely used, is an important factor when buying a soundbar if you're a big DTS fan (both soundbars are compatible, but there you have it). It was precisely because of this compatibility that I bought the TCL Q85H 7.1.4 and not an Ultimea Skywave X60 (plus, I bought the TCL when it cost €367 compared to the other one's nearly €500-€600). You also get a bit more power (600W compared to the other one's 580W). The Hisense AX5100Q's power is still sufficient; you won't notice a substantial difference. Also, keep in mind that, being a newer model, you'll have better update support. If you want the soundbar to last you several years, I'd go for the more expensive one. Always buy what you think is best for you. Both soundbars offer great value for money. I'm sure neither will disappoint you, but I would pay that extra for the reasons I mentioned earlier.

I've been enjoying my TCL Q85H Pro - definite caveat on this. It needs a firmware update as it sounds like absolute rubbish, the update process is a nightmare, this is because you have to set it up via apple device (had to borrow an friend's) to get it onto wifi and then when its on wifi it will eventually push the update. If you're happy to go through the loopholes I believe it was worth it. The sound quality is now as expected which I am happy with.

The TCL Q85H or even Q75H is excellent in this regard as well. At 499, it's a steal with top notch Atmos performance and Ray Danz technology (sound beam)

Amazon currently has this at $400. If you own a TCL TV, this is a goddamn steal once one upgrades to the V27 update.

I have a TCL Q85H (7.1.4) setup. Soundbar, sub, and two satellite speakers. After a few rounds of firmware updates, it sounds fantastic and I actually have my Panasonic UB-820 plugged directly into it.

Have you done firmware updates? I ended up purchasing the Q85H when Amazon had it for $400. I have the firmware updated (38.19.19.33) and the only issues I have is when it comes to anything not in surround sound (stereo content only). It tries to shoot the audio throughout all channels/satellites versus just keeping it to left/center/right. Anything 5.1 / 7.1 / Atmos / DTS-X has been completely fine. Per RTings: I setup AI Sonic based upon where I usually sit, EQ mode is set to standard, bass is set to medium, treble is set to high, and speaker volume is set to medium.

So here´s my tips : Actualy realy bad info for us. TCL Q85H works only via Iphone. Android has NO AirPlay! How to update firmware on v. Factory reset Soundbar ( pressing and holding same times button - POWER / Volume UP / Volume DOWN) for time soundbar show message on display "FACTORYRESET" 2. If soundbar isnt TURN ON/Power ON - do it. Than go to your IPHONE 3. On Iphone go to generals -> Airplay and Handoffa ->set airplay ON (everyone can use it) 4. Download TCL Home from appStore and ADD your soundbar to app. Now it can still show NO update avaible. 5. On iphone go to WIFI setting and connect to TCL Q85HE - airplay will automaticly set it and connect bar to your personal wifi. You can see notifi on sounbar display. 6. Navigate to TCL Home , click on sounbar and navigate to VERSION OF FW. After you press it pop up on you avaible update. I had 2 avaible updates. Hope it will help you because of it i was very nervous and i had to buy an brand new iphone for do this stupid update!! It time to bring IPHONE back to vendor :D NOW its time to test it. At the $500 price point the TCL Q85H is the best imo I've listened to both the Vizio Elevate and the TCL q85H and I think the TCL q85H is better

We just got an 85" QM6k with the Q85H and it sounds amazing. Works flawlessly with TCL TV's of course. Does need an update to the latest firmware as there is a wind sound that comes from the satellite speakers, but after that it sounds incredible with everything that we have watched so far

If if wasn’t already getting a ps5 pro and a TV, I would’ve grabbed the q85h, it’s great for the price i think. I’ve got a TCL Q85H. Had it since January and I’m really not impressed. I’ve been considering replacing it with the new Nakamichi Wireless. I just wish there were more reviews out there. I’ve been eyeing some open box options at their eBay store.
