I think you are looking for the Roku Streambar that you can use with the wireless speakers and add the sub later if you want

Streambar performs better than the Roku version built into the TVs. More processing power and memory makes for a better experience. Setup correctly hitting the Home button will turn on both the TV and wake up the Streambar.

Depends on budget and size of the room, if you can get the Pro, get it. I have the Pro in my Living Room and regular Streambars in my office and bedroom.

We Have the Roku Soundbar Pro and its remote is great. We’ve had it around 4-5 years and have been happy until now - it runs slower lately and there’s lag. Anyone know if newer models run faster? Overall it’s ok but we want to upgrade the sound to a non-Roku speaker system but get the newer Roku Ultra. Before this soundbar we had an ultra with memory slot and it was awesome - checking the specs of the newest Roku Ultra (or whatever then call it now) I know we’ll be happy

Why does the soundbar need to be 4k/120hz ? Just plug it into an eArc HDMI slot on your tv. Plug everything else into the other tv hdmi's. Look for open box deals at best buy and on Amazon. Get last years models. If you don't care about Atmos try a Roku Pro Soundbar. Hear me out, it has larger speakers than most because it's designed to work without a sub. So it's bassy on its own. It has decent left right separation effects. And you can add the Roku sub later, and it's kinda Beasty. I own that and a Samsung Q750 5.1.2. The Roku has much better mids. But Atmos is a whole new world and is amazing.

If you are that worried about bothering neighbors I would suggest trying the Roku Soundbar Pro. It fills out the sound a lot more vs the tv and provides a good wide effect. It's surround emulation is good enough and definitely an upgrade from the tv speakers. Compared to my Samsung Q750 5.1.2 the Roku provides a healthy amount of bass on its own. Way more than unplugging the sub on my surround system. The Roku system is also modular. You can add a sub or satellite speakers later. Though ,depending on your goal, having the surround speakers (and to some effect the Atmos up firing speakers) provides a better experience than having a loud experience. But I am always conscious of the sub and run it on its near minimum 90% of the time. But the Atmos bubble is really fun, especially for gaming.

You may not like Roku, but the Roku Streambar is a 2.1 Soundbar upgradable to 5.1 It has a dialogue boost setting and works amazing.

I have the full set up - 4 wireless speakers a sound bar for the center channel and the big subwoofer. Very good value for inspiring movie and music sound. I also have a plex server, and use the "plex meets home assistant" addon to launch videos on the Roku streambar right from my dashboard.

A Sonos Ray is perfect for a small apartment. And it sounds great for music too. But if u're looking for an even smaller footprint, with inbuilt streamer, the Roku Streambar is also a great choice. I have both in my rooms.

I know budget might not be a lot so I suggest just get a roku streambar from amazon for about $100
