Get her an Onn 5.1.2 from Wal-Mart with Dolby Atmos and and DTS for $199.00 USD, can't beat that at that price.

Look at the Onn 5.1.2 Atmos soundbar with wireless rear spekers for $199.99, can't beat that deal, they're very nice and sound pretty decent for the price.

Buy the 5.1.2 version for $199 its awesome and beats my $500 soundbar. Its unbelievable

U dont necessarily need EARC for surround sound but for Dolby Atmos i believe. ONN 5.1.2 has 1 hdmi pass through however its only 4k 60hz if im correct. Your tv needs to have ARC/EARC to get full experience out of the soundbar. But for the price of $199 this ONN is unbeatable.

I bought the Ultimea D40 and D50. At first I was impressed with thew sound, but after testing it on a few movie scenes, I found that The bass was muffled and the dialogue was over whelmed by music and other sounds. Then I heard about the Onn 5.1.2 which is Walmarts brand. I bought it for $199 and it was 10x better. Dialogue was better and the sound was much more crisp. The big difference here is that this has 2 up firing speakers which add even more depth for sound meant to be above you. I have done a tome of research and i will say that the Onn 5.1.2 is the best you will get for $200 or under.

I just bought 2 to try out. Trash. The sound isn't great, vocals get drowned out.

I just got the Onn 5.1.2 from Walmart for $199 and I was really impressed. It has a woofer, 2 wireless rear speakers, and up-firing speakers. The room filling sound is great when you watch a film in Dolby Atmos. Don't knock it because it is a Walmart brand. It is very likely that it is built by a name brand company. I tried 3 other soundbars and this one was the best by far. By the way stay away from Ultimea. The sound isn't great. the onn 5.1.2 is good but also same as the insignia 5.1.2. which is 70$ cheaper. the best bang for your buck is what straight-heat4965 suggested. and that’s assuming the ai is right.

to would pick the samsung. if your were getting a samsung 5.1 with just the sound bar then i would’ve picked onn 5.1.2 but since you get surround speakers with the samsung one. you get jjst as much immersion without upfiring speakers as you would with ONN upfront speakers. i have the onn 5.1.2 and the upfiring speakers are very movie picky on wether they actually work or not.

Do you know anything about the LG s70tr or onn 5.2.1? I’ve been looking at those 2. Well I bought the onn but might return it for the lg I guess.

I’m trying to stay around $300. I got the $200 onn 5.1.2 bar but debating taking it back and getting something else.

onn. 5.1.2 Soundbar with Dolby Atmos and Wireless Subwoofer, 42". In the 7 or so months I’ve owned it, it’s been great. I’ve had no issues with HDMI-CEC for the TV, an Xbox Series X, an Xbox 360, and an Apple TV. I’m impressed with it even though it’s marketed as a budget surround sound system. My only complaint is the surround speakers sound a bit distorted when playing low quality YouTube videos and antenna TV. It’s more of a pet peeve than anything though. The distortion isn’t an issue in high quality content and games unless you put your ear inches away from the speakers. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Open-Box-onn-5-1-2-Soundbar-with-Dolby-Atmos-and-Wireless-Subwoofer-42-Black-True-Wireless-Satellites/18284118429?conditionGroupCode=3&classType=REGULAR&athbdg=L1800

Samsung has a much stronger history of soundbars and are among the best with the 990 series. I myself had the Q600Cwith the 9200s surrounds and it was great and currently have the Q60C in my living room. The Onn 5.1.2 is definitely good at its $199 price but I would trust Samsung more if you are willing to pay a little bit more
