We bought the Samsung b650F and we were not impressed at all. It was way too crisp with too much treble and not enough low/bass. It actually hurt our ears to listen to. We tried all the settings and couldn’t get it to balance out. The Polk audio signa s4 was on sell for $359 and still might be. That is a very good sound bar/sub for the money. Even the Vizio 5.1 SE we have has better sound than the b650f and that was $120.
r/Soundbars • What's a good but affordable soundbar from best buy? ->I have the Hisense soundbar and it sounds great! The only downside for me was the subwoofer. There’s no way for you to adjust the volume of it, so the only way to really hear the subwoofer is by turning up the volume, but that can get loud. I also have the Polk Signa S4D (Aka S4), this is a great 3.1.2 option and you can adjust the sub! If you look into it and decide on Polk, the S4D on Polk’s website is cheaper than the S4, but they’re both the same soundbar. It’s a few years old but it does have Atmos and eArc, and it sounds great! I love it
r/Soundbars • Unsure about which soundbar to roll with ! ->Polk Audio Signa S4. On the bedroom TV. (2025 C5) Very happy, third year of use. 9/10 It can't do DTS/DTS-MA/DTS:X. (wasn't willing to pay either, since I have AVRs & HT speakers on my other TVs
r/LGOLED • What soundbar are you guys using with your LG OLED? On a scale from 1-10, how happy are you with the purchase? ->I got a Polk S4 and it’s been pretty good. Decent price/performance
r/LGOLED • Soundbar recommendation ->I just bought the polk signa S4 for my bedroom and im impressed. Think its around the 500$ mark:)
r/Soundbars • Best soundbar with no rear speakers? ->I bought the polk signa s4 specifically because I have hearing loss and needed something to make voices clear. It works perfectly for that purpose. Has 3 levels for improving voice clarity and also has a night mode that keeps volume consistent from scene to scene. I also have the QM7K and they work perfectly together. TV remote controls the soundbar without issue, but you do need to use the soundbar specific remote to change the settings I mentioned.
r/tcltvs • Sound bar sound system ideas for small room, 55 inch TCL QM7K, for clear voices ->I have the Polk Magnifi mini ax set up on my PC, with the added rear speakers, and Polk Signa S4 for the main TV. And I have a Bose Soundtouch 300 on a TV in the gym.
r/Soundbars • Which soundbar is better? Polk vs Bose? ->I don’t have the Mini hooked up to an Atmos source, but the surround is very good. Atmos from the Signa is great however.
r/Soundbars • Which soundbar is better? Polk vs Bose? ->For a small space it’s perfect. It does a killer job virtualizing sound, and the different sound modes all do their job well.
r/Soundbars • Polk Signa S4 or better option for small living room? ->Polk Signa S4 if you can find it locally. I found it at my local grocery chain (Meijer) for 200 as a Black Friday deal. Not sure if that’s how much they normally sell for locally outside of deal prices.
r/Soundbars • Any good Black Friday deals for soundbars? ->I settled on a Polk Signa S 4 should be arriving today, purchased off of Greentoe.
r/Soundbars • Best premium soundbar in 2025? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
