r/SoundbarsJust ordered a new Samsung HW-Q900C for $503.96
11 months ago

I pulled the trigger on it as well. My problem was patience I bought it at about $635 then two hours later it it drops to $565 and then two days later it drops to $503 🤦‍♂️. Worst part is Walmart (local) will not price match Walmart.com so you have to order another one at the new price and return the old one. So I had to do this three times already. But hey I'm stoked to get such a flagship soundbar at a good price. This is replacing my HWQ-800A (great soundbar) that soundbar is going in my bedroom now. I'm keeping my SWA-9500S with the 900C.

r/SoundbarsCan somebody recommend soundbar to ~280$/~240€?

If you get a Samsung 600,700 or 800 series you can add the rear speakers on at a later date for a couple of hundred bucks and then you have 80% the effect of the 900 series for 1/3 the price

I would suggest to try out Samsung 800 series and 990 series in the display/showroom experience and then decide if you want to increase budget and get proper soundbar to match up with tv. I’ve tried these and i now own 990d and its worth money spent ! In india i got this at 78K.

Sound bars have their place. Typically a small apartment. I have a Samsung Q 800 it’s quite good. Would it be better with individual speaker of course but for my use case I prefer this. It’s cleaner looking and it works well.

I find my samsung Q800 looks alright. It blends in fairly well on my tv stand. Everyone has been impressed with it so far.

I find the cheap Samsung or the slim ones sound rough that’s why I called out the specific one I have. You have tried the Q800 or Q910/990 series? I used to have a Vizio that also sounded solid for what it was but the Samsung Q800 is far better. I went to a large audio shop and I wanted a soundbar for a variety of personal reasons and it was the best one that I could find.

Ya I went from a JBL 2.1 soundbar that maybe cost me $300 in 2019, to the Q800 it there was little to no difference. Some movies even sounded worse especially with voices or dialogue. Luckily I got it on sale but the normal price of these Samsung set ups for the quality is insane. Just get a decent speaker and avr set up for that.

r/SoundbarsIs the Samsung HW-Q990F/D/C that good or it's just a "Reddit" hype thing?

Q800 and Q990 are both the absolute best price/perf in their respective categories. Are they the best thing singe bread came sliced? No. Are they the best package you can buy in their price ranges? Absolutely.

Get at least. 3.1 bar. I like the Samsung q600f for it's value. It's enough. It's good. It's a hell of a lot better than the tv speakers. Something like the q000f will blow you away without being too bulky. But it's double. Split the difference with the q800. I quite like the Samsung bars. Sony's good but expensive and piecemail. I don't really like their sub and bar combo ones. Some with sonos or bose. Nice but expensive and piecemail. TCL and Hisense have stuff but I've never heard it. But also haven't heard discussion about it. I like JBL. But their bars are just too bass heavy and the mids aren't great. Lg's not bad either. But Samsung is my choice

I’ve had the sennheiser ambeo, Bose smart ultra, and the Samsung q800, in that order. First two were returned for connectivity issues with my newish Samsung tv. The q800 has been great (the ambeo probably had the best surround but only if it connected). Q symphony is amazing. With the first two bars, you could clearly tell the sound was coming from below the TV… q symphony fixes that completely. And the subwoofer is amazing.

r/SoundbarsHow much better is a soundbar compared to the TV speakers?

At a minimum get the samsung q800. Movies with Disney, prime and apple TV sounds great on surround sound. Unfortunately Netflix wants to ridiculously charge for 4k and dolby surround. Like 29 a month

r/SoundbarsWhat soundbar without rear speakers (no space for them behind couch)?

Q800 I have them and then added rear and was even better
