The new F subwoofer sucks
The Samsung 800f is available without rear speakers and u can add them later if you want.
Like why would you change to the slim series subwoofer for a non slim soundbar?? Lazy designing update decision.
I'd pick the Klipsch setup. That's my exact setup and it's an awesome system. Really fills my room quite well. Unless you can find a Samsung Q800D, then I'd grab that over the Klipsch. But I wouldn't buy the Q800F as I think it's a small downgrade from the Q800D due to the subwoofer. That new subwoofer is the same Sub as the S800's slim soundbar series subwoofer. I've personally had both the S800B and the Q800B and the older Q800B single 8" subwoofer is significantly better than the 6.5" + 8" PR design. I'll never understand why they did this but I can only assume it's to put a little bit more distance in the difference between the Q800's & Q900's considering they both used to have the same subwoofer design (or extremely similar). But I definitely think they could've come up with something better than what they made
If you want to go for the Q800's, get the 800D & not the 800F. The older subwoofer is significantly better. Otherwise I would look into the Q900F.
Sub is definitely not better. That new subwoofer is a major downgrade from the previous subwoofer. I've had both the Q800B & the S800B. The 800F is the same subwoofer as the S800B (6.5" driver + 8" radiator) & that subwoofer doesn't come remotely close to the 800B subwoofer.
Tbh I don't understand what Samsung was thinking when designing the 800F. They could've some something else easily. Simply putting a sub from a different bar series (the 800F sub is the S800x sub.) is such lazy designing it's actually sad (and even sadder considering the sub actually ended up being a downgrade). I tell everyone to get the 800D instead if possible. I'm not sure what would've been a good design that doesn't leave too little "upgrade space" between the 800 & 900. Maybe either a ported design for the 900 & a sealed for 800's. Hell I don't even understand how people truly say the 990F sub is more compact from what I'm seeing but idk. I'm hoping these new MK2 subwoofers have been upgraded. Not that they're not loud enough but the sub just didn't sound very clean & had an overly strong mid bass sound to the sub. But these new subs look like another design and tuning design so hopefully they improved it this time. I'm waiting for rTings to release test results before making my decision on what's next.
If you want sub 40hz bass, don't get the 600F. Try to find a Q800D (NOT 800F). I say the 800D cause they changed the subwoofer on the 800F and honestly downgraded it. The new subwoofer is the sub from their slim soundbar series. I've had the S800B (slim soundbar) & the Q800B and the Q800B subwoofer was without question the better subwoofer by far. The 800F subwoofer will still sound alright, it just won't play as deep or as loud.
The best one to get would be [This](https://electronics.woot.com/offers/samsung-hw-q800f-zc-samsung-q800f-5-1-2ch-q-series-soundba) Samsung Q800F for your price range compared to anything else and the reason is because it usually goes for about $1000 and it is "on sale" at some retail stores for $749. But with the link I gave you, you can get it brand new for $547. I bought a Q990F there and it was brand new and it's been great! It's just overstock. At that price it's basically a no brainer compared to most other options. It's a 5.1.2 set up all in the front, so no rears come with it unfortunately. But you can get the 9500S rear speaker kit to add rear speakers to make it a 7.1.4 setup, whenever you want. I recommend you take this deal! Several days ago it wasn't available.
Without a doubt go with the Q810F, it's higher end. The QS750F(not Q750F) is more of a premium slim line soundbar, not exactly to push the best quality, but to get a great system as soon as possible, which will sacrifice in certain areas, like driver size. The QS750F will only be 5.1.2 total with the rears, if rears weren't there then the bar is 3.1.2. The Q810F+9500S will be a 7.1.4 system, the bar without the 9500S connected it's 5.1.2, so the rears also have height up firing speakers! The rears from the QS750F will be much lower end rear speakers. So yeah Q810F will be what I would get if you want pure quality and awesome Dolby Atmos.
Sound bars have their place. Typically a small apartment. I have a Samsung Q 800 it’s quite good. Would it be better with individual speaker of course but for my use case I prefer this. It’s cleaner looking and it works well.
I find my samsung Q800 looks alright. It blends in fairly well on my tv stand. Everyone has been impressed with it so far.
I find the cheap Samsung or the slim ones sound rough that’s why I called out the specific one I have. You have tried the Q800 or Q910/990 series? I used to have a Vizio that also sounded solid for what it was but the Samsung Q800 is far better. I went to a large audio shop and I wanted a soundbar for a variety of personal reasons and it was the best one that I could find.
Ya I went from a JBL 2.1 soundbar that maybe cost me $300 in 2019, to the Q800 it there was little to no difference. Some movies even sounded worse especially with voices or dialogue. Luckily I got it on sale but the normal price of these Samsung set ups for the quality is insane. Just get a decent speaker and avr set up for that.
Q800 and Q990 are both the absolute best price/perf in their respective categories. Are they the best thing singe bread came sliced? No. Are they the best package you can buy in their price ranges? Absolutely.
Get at least. 3.1 bar. I like the Samsung q600f for it's value. It's enough. It's good. It's a hell of a lot better than the tv speakers. Something like the q000f will blow you away without being too bulky. But it's double. Split the difference with the q800. I quite like the Samsung bars. Sony's good but expensive and piecemail. I don't really like their sub and bar combo ones. Some with sonos or bose. Nice but expensive and piecemail. TCL and Hisense have stuff but I've never heard it. But also haven't heard discussion about it. I like JBL. But their bars are just too bass heavy and the mids aren't great. Lg's not bad either. But Samsung is my choice
If not the q990f get the q900f. Same bar and sub, no rears. It's honestly a fairly big difference, though I quite like the q800f
At a minimum get the samsung q800. Movies with Disney, prime and apple TV sounds great on surround sound. Unfortunately Netflix wants to ridiculously charge for 4k and dolby surround. Like 29 a month
Q800 I have them and then added rear and was even better
