I wish I could give it a try, but after connectivity issues with my 2019 q90 bar rear speakers, I decided to nope out of Samsung. Don’t get me wrong the main bar of the q90 is great, the sub and rears are not.

r/Soundbars • Tip for Samsung Q600C Owners: BUY the Rear Speakers!!! ->Similar boat here. I currently have a C8 with the Q90R. Just bought a new 77 LG G4 for my new home and I'm wondering if I should upgrade my soundbar as well. Connectivity has not been an issue for me with the Q90R but I do find the rear speakers a little too quiet (even with their sound turned up in comparison to the soundbar). The most annoying thing has been the voice clarity... I find myself constantly lowering and raising the volume depending on the scene of an action movie for example. I was hoping the new LG S95TR was a real contender to Samsungs HW-Q990D (so I could take advantage of the WOW Orchestra, controls a menus with the TV), but from I read in reviews, that definitely is not tbe case. I am also wondering if there will be a significant upgrade in sound quality, voice clarity on the Q990D from the Q90R. Hope someone has an idea
r/Soundbars • Looking to Upgrade from Samsung HW-Q90R ->I've just updated a few days ago from a 65Q74T TV with Q90R soundbar to a 77S94D with Q990D soundbar (I could get a sweet Black Friday deal) and I must say it's worth it. The sound is clearer and the soundbar has much more settings to tweak. Also the rear speakers are louder than the Q90R. Can't tell yet if the the soundbar loses wifi connection, as was often the case with the Q90R. Also the Q-Symphony function is really great, it makes for a much fuller surround experience.
r/Soundbars • Looking to Upgrade from Samsung HW-Q90R ->I went from Q90R (2019) to a 990D (2024) after the Q90R sub developed some strange crackling behavior and it was a noticeable improvement. Wife appreciates the smaller form factor as a bonus
r/Soundbars • Samsung HW-Q990F ->I'm asking myself the same question. I've replaced my LG 65C8 with a Samsung 77S90D. I thought it would be advantageous to use Samsung's Q-Symphony feature but quickly learned that the HW-Q90R, from 2019, doesn't support it. Voice clarity is OK from the Samsung HW-Q90R but oftentimes I finding myself adjusting it louder than I want just to make the voices more intelligible. I'm looking at last year's model of Samsung's equivalent soundbar, the HW-Q990C because of the price and because the gaming advantage offered in the Q990D isn't something that would benefit me. A local store is offering the HW-Q990C through Amazon for $849 so that's pretty tempting, especially when compared to the price of the Q990D. I'll be keeping my eye on it as we approach Black Friday. I really like the idea of the Spacefit Sound Pro feature built into the 990C/D. As you know, this feature isn't available in our old 90Rs and balancing the speakers is really hit or miss. I have found that the 90R sounds much better in the Standard mode than in Adaptive mode. The volume stays more consistent and the surround effect is much more encompassing. Maybe Adaptive mode is good for talky programs like the evening news, but for entertainment programs and movies, it's not good.
r/Soundbars • Looking to Upgrade from Samsung HW-Q90R ->Pretty much same with me. Used the 2019 q90 until recently and now it can’t connect anymore, which totally disappoints me. Now looking for a replacement, but having a hard time to pick samsung again 🥶
