"A good robovac is a life changer. Even a $350 basic S8. It is a great place to start. ... I promise you that you will not be disappointed by a basic S8. It will change your life even if it can't fit under every piece of furniture you own. ... My two S8s just finished vacuuming our entire house in about 46 minutes. ... While my floors were being cleaned, I sat comfortably on our patio in the cool shade with a slight breeze and composed my far too long response to you while sipping a diet soda and relaxing. ... I will have to spend about four minutes maintaining my two S8s. This will be my entire contribution to my home floor cleaning effort for today. Four minutes!"

"Like 500$ these robots are currently the steal of the century ... You can get a mova p10 pro ultra (cannot remove its mops), equivalent to the l40/x40 for 500$ after a discount code"

"I got the Q5 Pro for $139. ... costs $450 less than what I paid for the S6 ... it is the best value option out there imo."

"I think I can confidently say that these will fit anyone and everyone's taste in music, but ONLY because it's soundcore and their app let's you choose EQ settings that would fit your taste. ... Literally each one of the genres I listed sound amazing and most importantly IMMERSIVE when paired with the right EQ ... I was listening to The Red Clay Strays and was not quite satisfied with the way their music sounded so I tried the "Piano" EQ setting, and holy fuck it's like the mids that i was talking about broke out of their cage and colors started flying. The best way I could describe it is that the vocals and instrumentals became more detailed and colorful as opposed to just being a dull and flat board hitting you in the ears. ... For any and I feel like all kinds of audio, you can get what you want with the right EQ setting (preset or custom, whichever you like), even binaural beats which are these pretentious yoga droning noises that i listen to when i can't sleep, they end up being a spiritual experience. ... there's the EQ customization, allowing you to tailor the earbuds' sound quality to a specific genre or taste. there's a ton of different presets for those who have no idea how to manually do it (me), and there's that custom EQ for the sound engineers"

I feel like the R50i NC (or maybe soundcore in general, idk) has an incredibly versatile range when it comes to sound quality, if you don't like bass too much, there's an EQ for that, or if you want your brain rattling for every beat, there's an EQ for that too. "They have a cool PC app with a lot of features on it. ... There's a Sonos feature that opens it up to a lot of customization. Game volume, Discord volume, Mic volume, and operating volume can all be customized."

"Noble fokus rex5 best sounding change my mind. ... Five drivers per ear bud game changing for sure ... Yes, you're so right. They are by far number one. ... There may be a few airbuds that get better battery a little bit, better ANC but right now my two cents worth, there's nothing on a planet that sounds better than these. ... I have all the heavy hitters. The techniques 80/100 Sony 4 and 5 sennheisers 3 and 4 and the Devialet gemini II. ... Ronontech on YouTube did a review on the Aviot a few days ago. I belive he liked the Nobels better. ... Also on YouTube, check out Flossie Carter review on the Nobles, he went absolutely nuts. Best sounding wireless earbuds he has ever heard."

"Q symphony is amazing. ... With the first two bars, you could clearly tell the sound was coming from below the TV… q symphony fixes that completely."

"I found that Q-Symphony adds a nice touch of fill-in to the front soundstage. ... Not life changing, but definitely worth it."

"it’s essential to have the app (called smart things) that lets you customize the sound settings and speaker settings. ... A lot of those changes have a day and night difference. ... At first I was disappointed with how quiet the rear speakers were out of the box. But after playing around in the app a little bit you can get a very full spacious sound."

"The sound from the A7000 is very forward and in your face compared to the Bar 9. ... I noticed the soundbar significantly more than the rears even though I was only a few feet from the rears. ... The A7000 made itself the star of the show, and I don think that 's a good thing. ... The A7000 dominated the sound every second it could. ... From a home theater perspective, this was not ideal for me. The rears were quiet and only came always during certain films (especially Bladerunner 2049)."

"With both soundbars I always set to rears to MAX volume, but now I can actually hear them while using the Bar 9. ... When using the A7000, there 's no way at 30% system volume that I 'd be able to hear the rears."

"the side speakers when you disconnect them from the sound bar are total crap."

If you have a .edu email, and you have time to wait, I would keep an eye on Samsung's "Shop Samsung" app. A month ago I got the 910D for $500. If you sign in using a .edu email, you will get their education discount which saves hundreds. And if you haven't purchased from their app before, you can save $50 off your first purchase of $500+. When I got my 910D the price was down to $550, then I got an additional $50 off from the app. That said, the price is back up to $700, but I imagine it will go back down as the 2025 models get released. If you want something now, the 800D is $525, so you can get it down to $475 on the app.

My previous system was a Sony 5.1 speaker setup, which was rather great but it was worn out after over 15 years. I was nervous about getting a soundbar system because I had heard some years ago and they never impressed me. They’ve gotten way better, I ended up getting a q910c, which is 9.1.2 and I’m still blown away by how much more immersive it is, even from a 5.1 source. I do wish for stronger bass, my friend has a Sonos and that thing has one badass sub, the first time I went to his house, I heard it from another room and thought he had a full fledged home theater setup.

I replaced my 500 watt Sony 5.1 “dream system” with a Samsung Q910D and it’s way better sounding and much easier to setup and deal with Edit: it was 500 watts, not 1000

Can’t you go circlejerk in r/hometheater ? Why come here just to shit on soundbars? How is it hard to believe my 9.1.2 sounds better than a 20 year old 5.1?

I had a S55H and it wasn't too bad at all. Recently found Samsung q910d's for great price, so I upgraded. For the price the TCL was pretty decent

Get the Sonos system. Samsung is terrible at support. Further you can buy the Sonos components from Costco. At least most of them. Return policy is quite generous as you probably know. Don’t be tempted by the Samsung pricing. It’s just not as good or reliable as the Sonos systems. He’ll even the JBL soundbar systems have better sound than the Q series.

I’ve had one for about a month now. I’m definitely not a pro but, it’s essential to have the app (called smart things) that lets you customize the sound settings and speaker settings. A lot of those changes have a day and night difference. At first I was disappointed with how quiet the rear speakers were out of the box. But after playing around in the app a little bit you can get a very full spacious sound. I’ve been very pleased with my purchase.

You can get the Samsung Q930D for $700 on Woot. I bought my parents the Q990D and it's an amazing sound bar. Those rear speakers pack a punch, and the Dolby Atmos performance is great. If that is a little above your budget, you can get the Samsung Q910D for $490 from Walmart. It's a different set of rear speakers, but still a great sound bar.

If you want high end, a Q930 (a B instead of D is likely cheaper) is good enough for you IMHO. It'll come with the rear surround speakers that also fire from the top. I have a C3 in a small living room and picked up a Q990 and it is definitely overkill. It's great but it's a lot for a small area. Don't get me wrong, it sounds great to me. It beats my older Q70T that I had paired SWA8500 read surround speakers. However, if I managed to find a Q930 at an even better price than what I got the Q990, it would have more than did the job. The Q910 would essentially be I think the same soundbar as the Q930, but the rear surround speakers are not wireless and only fire from the side. The best Samsung model that is only soundbar with subwoofer would be the Q900D. It's the same soundbar that comes with the Q990D (bigger than the Q930's bar). It's huge though. If you want to add the wireless rear surround speakers to the Q900 later, it'll be the SWA9500s. They are NOT the same wireless speakers as the ones that come with the Q990 but work similarly. They are wireless with front, side, and top firing. The most budget Samsung option that can do Atmos is the Q600C. I don't think they released a "D" model for this year so that might be cheaper. I believe the cheapest Atmos capable model this year from Samsung Q700D. However, the Q600 models are NOT compatible with the SWA9500s wireless surround speakers. The Q600 from what I am aware of are only compatible with the SWA9200s surround speakers. The SWA9200s I believe are only side firing. The cheapest bar that will work with the SWA9500 I believe will be the Q700C. It'll also work with the Q800 as well. The Q800D would likely be the "go nicer but not top of the line flagship" expensive.

Hey, I didn't see this question until just now today....I see you posted a month ago, so no doubt you've already figured out what you needed to do for your situation. Still, I wanted to pass on the information you asked for so that anyone else looking for it will be able to find it without a ton of fuss. The HW-Q910D consists of: Soundbar = 11.7lbs or 5.31kg Subwoofer = 22.2lbs or 10.07kg (2) Rear speakers = 1.2lbs or 544g/ each I hope this helps someone out there....I needed to mount my soundbar beneath my 42" Samsung TV corner mounted in master bedroom using SANUS fully articulating (tiltable, rotatable & extendable) wall mount and I too found it necessary to determine the weight of both the soundbar & whatever potential add-on soundbar mounting bracket I planned to use in order to make certain I didn't exceed the max weight for the SANUS wall mount, MODEL: VMF518-B1 (which is rated for TVs up to 75lbs). My TV weighs 17.6lbs (60kg)without integrated stand Fortunately, I lucked out with the total of all weights coming in under 75lbs though I am still debating over what I want to use to hold / suspend the rear speakers because for me it's just super ghetto & not at all an elegant solution to resort to driving a screw into the drywall and hanging the speaker from it using the built-in key hole mounting slot recessed into the back of each speaker.... I'm leaning toward simple black iron stands that have a very small freestanding footprint that offers adjustable height, sturdy weighted base and a clean design that neatly hides the wires. I'm still on the fence, so if anyone has a solution I should know about, let's hear about what has worked for your setup. Thanks!
