"I love my 910D and paid $600 for it. ... Getting it for $450 is tremendous value."

"it’s essential to have the app (called smart things) that lets you customize the sound settings and speaker settings. ... A lot of those changes have a day and night difference. ... At first I was disappointed with how quiet the rear speakers were out of the box. But after playing around in the app a little bit you can get a very full spacious sound."
"I recommend using adaptive mode for all content unless you want creator intent then you'd use standard mode (which only uses source channels, ex. 2.1 would only use 2.1 channels). ... But adaptive mode is recommended for most content. ... The latter 3 modes upscale the source audio to all the speaker channels so it'll always use 9.1.2."

"I watched NFL games yesterday and heard so many more sounds during the game than I ever did before like the crowds and stadium music between plays. ... I ’m very happy with this bar."

"Wtf! It says wireless.....I still need wires for my rear speaker?!?!?! ... It did say wireless so I figured the rear speakers were wireless too."
"Which are way too short by the fking way. ... the wires for the rear speakers were only 10feet!!! ... My living room is pretty big. It's not massive but not small either. The length would be good enough or a bathroom"
"the rear speakers worked differently than expected. ... Even with the adaptive mode, the rear speakers are not as good as the q930c or q900c with the SWA-9500S rear speakers."

"That is correct unfortunately. ... OP if you have a PS5 or Xbox or a Gaming PC, then definitely get the Q990D as it has 120hz pass through."
If you have a .edu email, and you have time to wait, I would keep an eye on Samsung's "Shop Samsung" app. A month ago I got the 910D for $500. If you sign in using a .edu email, you will get their education discount which saves hundreds. And if you haven't purchased from their app before, you can save $50 off your first purchase of $500+. When I got my 910D the price was down to $550, then I got an additional $50 off from the app. That said, the price is back up to $700, but I imagine it will go back down as the 2025 models get released. If you want something now, the 800D is $525, so you can get it down to $475 on the app.
r/Soundbars • I have $500 and I need soundbar recommendations... ->I have a Q910D and I absolutely love it
r/Soundbars • The most recommended soundbars on Reddit (r/soundbar VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->Anyone coming here later, I really enjoy mine, have had it for just over a month now
r/Soundbars • Samsung q910D ->I bought the Samsung Q910D for under $700. I think it’s decent…. I dont have much to compare it to. It has upfiring speakers
r/Soundbars • What's the best soundbar with subwoofer right now for $800 USD or less? I don't need rear speakers, but am not opposed to them. Atmos up-firing support would be nice, but not required. Main use is watching shows/movies, with occasional music listening. Normal suburban livingroom size/shape/materials ->https://www.greentoe.com/product/Samsung_Samsung_HW-Q910D_520W_9-1-2-Channel_Dolby_Atmos_Soundbar_System_HW-Q910D-ZA?direct_shop=a06PD000007E10DYAS&utm_source=google&utm_medium=x&utm_campaign=21817938694&utm_term=&utm_content=&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAyc67BhDSARIsAM95Qzsfip0AeMpFGXZX0NFK4jc9zQBVI-SAYWxSl-0JbrLqxb6jolULjecaApb3EALw_wcB This is probably one of the best deals you'll fine. I just got this for Christmas and it sounds fantastic.
r/Soundbars • Soundbar to pair with Samsung S90D ->My previous system was a Sony 5.1 speaker setup, which was rather great but it was worn out after over 15 years. I was nervous about getting a soundbar system because I had heard some years ago and they never impressed me. They’ve gotten way better, I ended up getting a q910c, which is 9.1.2 and I’m still blown away by how much more immersive it is, even from a 5.1 source. I do wish for stronger bass, my friend has a Sonos and that thing has one badass sub, the first time I went to his house, I heard it from another room and thought he had a full fledged home theater setup.
r/Soundbars • 5.1 soundbar vs 9.1.4 soundbar ->I replaced my 500 watt Sony 5.1 “dream system” with a Samsung Q910D and it’s way better sounding and much easier to setup and deal with Edit: it was 500 watts, not 1000
r/Soundbars • Tired of my old 5.1 setup and all the wires — is it time to switch to a soundbar? ->Can’t you go circlejerk in r/hometheater ? Why come here just to shit on soundbars? How is it hard to believe my 9.1.2 sounds better than a 20 year old 5.1?
r/Soundbars • Tired of my old 5.1 setup and all the wires — is it time to switch to a soundbar? ->I had a S55H and it wasn't too bad at all. Recently found Samsung q910d's for great price, so I upgraded. For the price the TCL was pretty decent
r/Soundbars • TCL S55H 2.1ch any good ?? ->I’ve had one for about a month now. I’m definitely not a pro but, it’s essential to have the app (called smart things) that lets you customize the sound settings and speaker settings. A lot of those changes have a day and night difference. At first I was disappointed with how quiet the rear speakers were out of the box. But after playing around in the app a little bit you can get a very full spacious sound. I’ve been very pleased with my purchase.
r/Soundbars • Samsung q910D ->You can get the Samsung Q930D for $700 on Woot. I bought my parents the Q990D and it's an amazing sound bar. Those rear speakers pack a punch, and the Dolby Atmos performance is great. If that is a little above your budget, you can get the Samsung Q910D for $490 from Walmart. It's a different set of rear speakers, but still a great sound bar.
r/Soundbars • Best budget soundbar? ->I have listened to Q910D in Bestbuy without rear speaker. Just bar and sub. I am impressed. I can expect 990d will blast with Samsung tv.
r/Soundbars • Samsung HW-Q990D vs Sonos Arc Ultra + Sub 4 + 2x Era 300, Samsung is 1500$ , Sonos is 2400. Value for money I guess Samsung is better, but overall is there big difference between them? did you have a chance to test both? ->Hey, I didn't see this question until just now today....I see you posted a month ago, so no doubt you've already figured out what you needed to do for your situation. Still, I wanted to pass on the information you asked for so that anyone else looking for it will be able to find it without a ton of fuss. The HW-Q910D consists of: Soundbar = 11.7lbs or 5.31kg Subwoofer = 22.2lbs or 10.07kg (2) Rear speakers = 1.2lbs or 544g/ each I hope this helps someone out there....I needed to mount my soundbar beneath my 42" Samsung TV corner mounted in master bedroom using SANUS fully articulating (tiltable, rotatable & extendable) wall mount and I too found it necessary to determine the weight of both the soundbar & whatever potential add-on soundbar mounting bracket I planned to use in order to make certain I didn't exceed the max weight for the SANUS wall mount, MODEL: VMF518-B1 (which is rated for TVs up to 75lbs). My TV weighs 17.6lbs (60kg)without integrated stand Fortunately, I lucked out with the total of all weights coming in under 75lbs though I am still debating over what I want to use to hold / suspend the rear speakers because for me it's just super ghetto & not at all an elegant solution to resort to driving a screw into the drywall and hanging the speaker from it using the built-in key hole mounting slot recessed into the back of each speaker.... I'm leaning toward simple black iron stands that have a very small freestanding footprint that offers adjustable height, sturdy weighted base and a clean design that neatly hides the wires. I'm still on the fence, so if anyone has a solution I should know about, let's hear about what has worked for your setup. Thanks!
r/Soundbars • Samsung q910D ->It's probably more important to see exactly what other system you're comparing it to. Other 7.1 systems could be better/worse based on various factors. I just bought this system and it sounds great. But note the rear speakers aren't actually wireless. You could look at the Q930 or Q990 instead.
r/Soundbars • Is a 9.1.2 soundbar audio system worth it? ->I believe so yes. Which makes the 910 seem pretty outdated.
r/Soundbars • Is a 9.1.2 soundbar audio system worth it? ->I second that choice.
r/Soundbars • Absolute best soundbar for gaming/movies on LG C4 under $400-$500 ->I bought a Q910D from that same seller. 👍
r/Soundbars • Best soundbar without rear speakers? ->Q910D is probably half the price of the 990D and a great soundbar in its own right. I wouldn’t spend $1500 or a $1009 on a soundbar if I lived in an apartment because I wouldn’t be able to fully utilize it without disturbing the neighbors.
r/Soundbars • Sound bar recommendations for LG OLED C4 ->I bought a 910D from coolbeans on eBay last week new in the box. He’s selling the 990 for $999. Apparently he sells a lot of them with great feedback.
r/Soundbars • The Best Soundbars to Buy now? ->I love my 910D and paid $600 for it. Getting it for $450 is tremendous value. If rear speaker performance is extremely important to you then you might want to look elsewhere. Personally I think they perform just fine.
r/Soundbars • Just bought a Samsung q930d. I'm underwhelmed by the sound. ->910D is great if that’s an option.
r/Soundbars • Looking for Soundbar Recommendations Under €600 (Movies & Gaming) ->I ordered one today. There’s not a whole lot of user feedback out on the interwebz but the specs look nice and the price is right. Any pro tips you can share from your experience with it?
r/Soundbars • Samsung q910D ->I received it yesterday and hooked it up right away. It replaced an old Sony CT370 that I really liked but the 910D is a huge upgrade. I watched NFL games yesterday and heard so many more sounds during the game than I ever did before like the crowds and stadium music between plays. I’m very happy with this bar. If you’d like to share your channel settings I’d appreciate it. I’m using Adaptive with a few other minor tweaks to rears, top, and center channels.
r/Soundbars • Samsung q910D ->Can’t go wrong with the 910D. I use it in a medium sized living room and it is more than enough.
r/Soundbars • Which soundbar will fit in my space ? ->Check out greentoe. I got the q910 for $500~
r/Soundbars • Absolute best soundbar for gaming/movies on LG C4 under $400-$500 ->If you want high end, a Q930 (a B instead of D is likely cheaper) is good enough for you IMHO. It'll come with the rear surround speakers that also fire from the top. I have a C3 in a small living room and picked up a Q990 and it is definitely overkill. It's great but it's a lot for a small area. Don't get me wrong, it sounds great to me. It beats my older Q70T that I had paired SWA8500 read surround speakers. However, if I managed to find a Q930 at an even better price than what I got the Q990, it would have more than did the job. The Q910 would essentially be I think the same soundbar as the Q930, but the rear surround speakers are not wireless and only fire from the side. The best Samsung model that is only soundbar with subwoofer would be the Q900D. It's the same soundbar that comes with the Q990D (bigger than the Q930's bar). It's huge though. If you want to add the wireless rear surround speakers to the Q900 later, it'll be the SWA9500s. They are NOT the same wireless speakers as the ones that come with the Q990 but work similarly. They are wireless with front, side, and top firing. The most budget Samsung option that can do Atmos is the Q600C. I don't think they released a "D" model for this year so that might be cheaper. I believe the cheapest Atmos capable model this year from Samsung Q700D. However, the Q600 models are NOT compatible with the SWA9500s wireless surround speakers. The Q600 from what I am aware of are only compatible with the SWA9200s surround speakers. The SWA9200s I believe are only side firing. The cheapest bar that will work with the SWA9500 I believe will be the Q700C. It'll also work with the Q800 as well. The Q800D would likely be the "go nicer but not top of the line flagship" expensive.
r/Soundbars • Sound bar to go with my LG C4 ->If you get a Samsung soundbar with Q Symphony that will add an extra dimension to your system that you won't get if you choose another brand
r/Soundbars • A Best Buy employee recommended the Sony S400. They didn’t mention the Samsung one and I already bought the Sony. Is it a big difference? ->If you have a samsung tv or plan on getting one go with the samsung. Q Symphony is dope
r/Soundbars • Should I go with the JBL or the Samsung? ->FYI, I already had the Samsung soundbar when TV shopping. I thought it would be kool to have the Samsung TV to use with the Samsung soundbar- Q Symphony, but in the end it wasnt enough for me to not get the G4.
r/LGOLED • What is the best soundbar for LG G4? I think of S80TR, is it good? Also will there be a real difference compared to inbuilt speakers ? Thanks! ->Get the Sonos system. Samsung is terrible at support. Further you can buy the Sonos components from Costco. At least most of them. Return policy is quite generous as you probably know. Don’t be tempted by the Samsung pricing. It’s just not as good or reliable as the Sonos systems. He’ll even the JBL soundbar systems have better sound than the Q series.
r/Soundbars • I want a Sonos but should I just get the Samsung Q990D/F? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
