"I don’t need a system that cost $5000 to meet what my $1500 split over my 2 systems does. ... Best of both worlds for easily 25% the total price of a Dolby 11.1.4 klipsche system or what not"

"Samsung 11.1.4 or jbl 9.1.4 you can get it under 65k, you just need to keep searching few days online. Their prices are discounted on some days. Check flipkart, amazon, croma and samsung corporate website (you will need some IT company's email to login)"

"my Samsung 11.1.4 atmos setup is way fucking better for tv and movies. ... Way better than a 2.1 system. ... Still better than a 5.1."

"Not really for straight music vs a hifi system ... For music I have a Frankensetup in a smaller, different room where it can shine with half the power output"

I had the JBL 5.1 multibeam for years and wasn't that happy with the subwoofer, now I got the Samsung HW Q995D and it just sounds like a cinema. They've reworked it a bit, but I think the thing still doesn't sound as good as the Samsung one. I only got it back then because it was 10 inches

Rtings gave the LG 95TR a good score, its worth a try. I own a 995F and bass is pretty good ,I barely go over 30 in my 10ft x 30ft room.

I paid 1400€ for a5000 8 years ago and it is still solid. But it is downgraded to the living room TV, and installed a q995f. It is immersive, a stunning upgrade over a5000. 60w TV speakers are also working with Samsung Q-Symphony. Really like that using all the performance. If you don't like cables around, this device is a beast when pair with a compatible TV.

In 2021 I bought Samsung's top of the line TV and soundbar. This month my soundbar half died. I can't connect it to the TV no matter what connection is (hdmi earc, wifi, optical) But the Bluetooth and wifi connection is still working when using my phone. I've tried all the troubleshooting I can but nothing works. I've been using Samsung for the past 20 years and never had any issues. This might be my 6th TV and 3rd soundbar. All worked perfectly until I replaced them.

The Q995 is the Nordic version and doesn’t have any built in voice assistants (Google or Alexa) ie, you can’t control the soundbar by speaking to it. You can still connect it to your smart home controller, I have mine in Apple Home.

My q995gd also connected to Bravia 7 and I can use the speakers of the TV as center channel. I don't have the quad but almost every reviewer say especially German experts, when you compare the quad with the q995gd, Samsung wins easily. It does not mean that the quad is bad, as a matter of fact most people surprised with its Surround capabilities. The lack of dedicated Subwoofer makes the system automatically weaker than the Samsung, even with the dedicated woofer, less speakers start to show itself. Samsung's Q series isn't a cheap option at all. Q995gd priced at 2.000€ when it was launched a year ago but the price go lower as the time goes. The Quad is almost 3x more expensive than the current q995gd. This alone makes the quad very niche product.

Yes they are, maybe except Sonos and don’t let anybody tell you otherwise. The thing with soundbars is they look clean and sound decent for the money. For proper audiophile grade Atmos setup, you have to have good space in your room for it, mount it to the ceiling, hide the cables etc… it also cost a pent for medium/high end setup. Then it will only sound that only little bit better in movies and it’s mostly music where it sounds better. But most of the time for music people use portable or WiFi speakers anyway. So most people will rather get a Sonos or Q995 for a TV for movies and be done with it. Plug and play!

Just an update if anyone cares😅. I got the 995d and set it up today. Ive been playing aroumd with it, and looked at DOLBY movies on netflix and so in. Music has been on alot so ill give the different aspects a grade. Music, if i compare to a mid tier music dedicated setup, ill give it a 6/10. Keep in mind its compared to a dedicated music stereo. Its definently enjoyable, and has ALOT of punch. I have no idea where the complain about the woofer having not enough power comes from, because i cant have it anywhere near max beacuse it simply is too much. Movies, it has to be said i have no reference, since this is my first surround system. Ill give it an 9/10. The dialogue is crisp, i can hear overhead speakers.. i can hear everything. Its simply lovely, and it has taken every aspect i was concerned about and matched or outmatched my expectations. Im very satisfied. This ofcourse is a first impression review. Thanks for the tips to everyone who contributed to this post😊

You’ve got very limited space with that TV stand. If you’re going for a cleaner look, I’d probably consider mounting the TV on the wall. That way, you can decide whether to place the soundbar on the stand or mount it underneath the TV using a soundbar bracket. The speakers might not fit your current setup, but if you’ve got a wall with more space, you could place them on stands on each side for a better stereo image. Personally, I’m not a fan of how soundbars sound — I switched to a 5.1 setup after owning the Q995C, and it was a big upgrade. But it really depends on what’s more important to you — aesthetics or sound quality.

If you get a Samsung soundbar with Q Symphony that will add an extra dimension to your system that you won't get if you choose another brand

FYI, I already had the Samsung soundbar when TV shopping. I thought it would be kool to have the Samsung TV to use with the Samsung soundbar- Q Symphony, but in the end it wasnt enough for me to not get the G4.

r/LGOLED • What is the best soundbar for LG G4? I think of S80TR, is it good? Also will there be a real difference compared to inbuilt speakers ? Thanks! ->

Idk, pretty happy with my 11.1.4 Samsung sound bar that pairs with my TV speakers. Way better than a 2.1 system. Still better than a 5.1. For music I have a Frankensetup in a smaller, different room where it can shine with half the power output I don’t need atmos for music. I don’t need the tightest bass, or hifi clarity for a movie track or tv. I don’t need a system that cost $5000 to meet what my $1500 split over my 2 systems does. I also don’t want 20 fucking giant ass speakers hanging all over my living room

Get the Sonos system. Samsung is terrible at support. Further you can buy the Sonos components from Costco. At least most of them. Return policy is quite generous as you probably know. Don’t be tempted by the Samsung pricing. It’s just not as good or reliable as the Sonos systems. He’ll even the JBL soundbar systems have better sound than the Q series.

r/Soundbars • I want a Sonos but should I just get the Samsung Q990D/F? ->
