Unfortunately, this applies to their entire system. Even the Q995X is a nightmare… You spend your life adjusting the EQ for every movie

r/SoundbarsQ990F vs JBL 1300. Please help me choose

I had the JBL 5.1 multibeam for years and wasn't that happy with the subwoofer, now I got the Samsung HW Q995D and it just sounds like a cinema. They've reworked it a bit, but I think the thing still doesn't sound as good as the Samsung one. I only got it back then because it was 10 inches

Rtings gave the LG 95TR a good score, its worth a try. I own a 995F and bass is pretty good ,I barely go over 30 in my 10ft x 30ft room.

In 2021 I bought Samsung's top of the line TV and soundbar. This month my soundbar half died. I can't connect it to the TV no matter what connection is (hdmi earc, wifi, optical) But the Bluetooth and wifi connection is still working when using my phone. I've tried all the troubleshooting I can but nothing works. I've been using Samsung for the past 20 years and never had any issues. This might be my 6th TV and 3rd soundbar. All worked perfectly until I replaced them.

The Q995 is the Nordic version and doesn’t have any built in voice assistants (Google or Alexa) ie, you can’t control the soundbar by speaking to it. You can still connect it to your smart home controller, I have mine in Apple Home.

r/SoundbarsWhich soundbar with 11.1.4 for Phillips TV?

I have a Samsung Q995D paired with my new Philips 77OLED810, used it with my LG 55” C9 before that. One of the best investment for immersive sound experience and listening to Dolby Atmos music is really good. I highly recommend, specially if you can get for €800-900.

From the reviews I have seen, Q Symphony is a mixed bag, some say it’s good, others not so. My understanding is that you can play sound from both the TV speakers and soundbar at the same time, I could do this with my LG C9 and Q995D but it didn’t make it sound any better.

I needed to do a firmware update before mine sounded right. You need the app and a wifi connection. I also used a usb stick with the firmware download as there was an issue getting wifi to do the update. There was another update a few months later that worked perfectly through the wifi update.

r/SoundbarsIs the Q99d the best thing on the planet? That’s all I see in this community. Does anyone use something different? I have a Bravia Bar 8 for example
8 months ago

My q995gd also connected to Bravia 7 and I can use the speakers of the TV as center channel. I don't have the quad but almost every reviewer say especially German experts, when you compare the quad with the q995gd, Samsung wins easily. It does not mean that the quad is bad, as a matter of fact most people surprised with its Surround capabilities. The lack of dedicated Subwoofer makes the system automatically weaker than the Samsung, even with the dedicated woofer, less speakers start to show itself. Samsung's Q series isn't a cheap option at all. Q995gd priced at 2.000€ when it was launched a year ago but the price go lower as the time goes. The Quad is almost 3x more expensive than the current q995gd. This alone makes the quad very niche product.

r/SoundbarsQ990D , how good is it

Bought it almost a week ago and I can assure you that it is absolutely a beast. I have no idea who complains about bass cos it shakes my room at 15 volume and fills the room with surround sound coming from everywhere. I was very skeptic about soundbars cos I had 5.2.2 dedicated Atmos system which sounded badass. We redocarated the room and my wife did not want to see all those speakers hanging on the walls which directed me to the soundbars. I thought that it would be a downgrade no matter which soundbar it is but dammmn I ended up with an upgrade. q995 (German Version) sounds like a charm. The Atmos, DTSX and lossless audio come to life, it takes you in. The immersion is fantastic. Zero problems with the bass since it can shake my room and I tasted it with a lot of lossless audio plus Spatial sound formats. It responds very very very good. Go buy it without a hesitate.

Just get the Samsung 990/995 (geo dependant) D or F and save yourself a pile of time ruminating. Both are best in class, and as the D is heavily discounts as replaced by the F is stonking good value.
