I have the S61B version of this, which is likely still similar. For $200, I'd consider that a good price, provided you're okay with no small information display at the front like the better Q series bars have; all prompts and settings are Vocal. That and no sub of course, since this is a 5.0 bar.
If you've got a samsung TV get a samsung soundbar, I have the Samsung S61B soundbar and it sounds really good, it powers on/off with my TV remote and of course volume works, I can also control it via the smart things app so it could be hidden anywhere, hope this helps!
I have the samsung hw-s60b . (C.200 - can maybe her under in a sale ) Very happy with it. Especially as it pairs with my Samsung TV to output all sound together. So if not got a Samsung TV, less of a draw.
Samsung S61B w/ Samsung W510 Subwoofer and SWA - 9200S for the rears. 8.5/10 hands down easily recommend. especially for bedrooms ! bedrooms it’s an OP setup 😅
i use the samsung s60 for my computer connected via optical to my motherboard, for my tv since i use apple tv i airplay the audio to the soundbar whenever i watch movies. it was the smallest but still packs a nice punch for my desk. ** if out of your budget, you can also look into the s50 as well.
Is the reason you're not wanting a subwoofer because of sharing a wall? I have the Samsung S60B, I definitely recommend it for it having so many drivers and you can give it a little extra bass if you like or tone it down entirely. The vocal clarity is also extraordinary.
My s60 never goes above 25 here due to it being way too loud. Ever had your ears cleaned out professionally?
Samsung s60, enable night mode and voice amplification
Samsung makes quality soundbars. You can’t go wrong with any one you choose. It comes down to cost, features, and your expectations. Bigger doesn’t always mean better and subwoofer performance is more a function of its placement and room dynamics than its size. Things like Atmos support are great but only important if you care about Atmos playback. Most important are build and sound quality, stable firmware, key basic features like ARC/eARC support, AirPlay 2 support, Bluetooth support, and a footprint that fits your room. Samsung has all of these and though they had a recent firmware issue it was with the Q990 line and has been resolved. I have the smaller Samsung S60 with its designated subwoofer (SWA-510) in my bedroom. It sounds awesome and has many bells and whistles like Atmos support, etc but it’s perfect for my bedroom. In my living room, I have a full Denon Home 5.1 setup - 550 Soundbar, 150’s Surrounds, Subwoofer - which has more features and better sound than the S60 but I want that for my living room and invested the extra money accordingly.
