"IT. WAS. SO. WORTH IT. ... I cannot say enough how much I *highly* recommend adding the SWA-9200’s to your setup, if you have the Q600C soundbar. ... The soundbar is decent enough on its own, but adding the rear speakers to it takes it *to a whole other level*, in terms of sound quality, and overall experience/immersiveness. ... by adding the rear-channel speakers in (and placing them slightly *higher* than the listening position, to accentuate the height effect), I really believe it turns the system into a *true* 5.1.2 setup! ... as far as this soundbar goes (and for the price - even at retail), I don’t think you can get much better anywhere"

I guarantee it is ***absolutely*** worth the time, effort, and money to get the rear speakers, even if you don't have much room to place them *technically* correctly, behind your couch, as they will still add a whole other *dimension* of sound to your sound system, and really increase the immersiveness of the experience."

The best option for the Samsung TV specifically would be either the Q600C or the Q730D. They both use Q-Symphony (uses soundbar and tv speakers for fuller sound), and they can both be controlled through one remote/app (Samsung Smart things).

Actually amazon f***ed my order. They sent me some cheap ass samsung speaker instead. Be cautious if you are ordering from amazon and shoot a video if you can of delivery. And if you have a samsung tv with q symphony then its a no brainer to go with q series.

I just bought q600c from reliance digital for 25k and paired with my samsung tv it will be 5.1.2 which is great given the price point. So if you have a budget for q800d then go for it because of its upgraded sub and dedicated side and upfiring speakers, if not then its a no brainer to go with 600c if you have q symphony compatibe tv.

The Q600F is a decent option, but if you spring for a few more dollars, the Q700F would be much better value, it adds upward-firing Atmos speakers and Wi-Fi so you can stream music via AirPlay. I think both the soundbars have Voice enhancement setting, to elevate dialogue bit more from background music.

Not really, just turn down the volume. I think anything more than a 3.1.2 soundbar is overkill for this setup, however if you have the budget I'd recommend upfiring speakers as they can create sound above the soundbar, essentially making it seem more like the sound comes from the monitor instead of below it. Something like the Q600C/D/F.

I was also looking to get one, and going with 600F, getting it for 23K INR owing to Corporate discounts, Personal reasons why I am going for 600F over 800F 1. 23K vs 38K INR - Corporate Pricing. 2. will need to connect to Gaming Console to Soundbar / TV anyway, so can't really use the wireless connection for Dolby Atmos on the 800F, TV pairing will be the 2025 Samsung Neo QLED. 3. My living room size is almost 270 sq ft. and I believe 380W will be ample on 600F. 4. Viewing distance is also 6-8 ft, so I am ok without the side speakers on 800F. 5. Not much of an audiophile, can do without that engulfing effect of the side speakers. I think the sole reason to go for 800F will be the following; 1. If you need to be in an omnidirectional sound aura. 2. Lower frequency response will be better on 800F, the subwoofer weighs 7Kgs on the 800F vs 5Kgs on the 600F, so I believe the "thump" will be way better on 800F, dense packaging. 3. If you just have a TV and Soundbar, no external devices (console etc.), then no fuss of running HDMIs, a clutter free setup.

From what the specs looks like of these bars. Q6cc is the best one for the price but you just can’t beat the feeling of a 5.1 bar. Way more soundstage although it can’t decode Dolby Atmos though… Just found a Q600c for less than $300 on eBay. That one would be superior even though it’s 3.1.2 too because it has up firing speakers and the ability to pair the 9200s for 5.1. A friend has it and for the price that bass is great

have you seen the q600c for less than $250 currently? i don't have access to that info now but you might, you buy the rears for around $90 bucks and you have a system that can output Atmos but budget atmos and thats better than no Atmos in my book like if you choose the 2 options you mentioned. The sub works great in not so big rooms and you stated it wont be used loud.

yeah one homepod is going to beat the q600c lol but id say the 600c will have like %30 more bass because of the dedicated sub.... but having two homepods? youre almost getting into (virtual) 5.1 audio... i had the chance to try the 600c because a friend found it for like $130 on clearance and i was surprised how loud the homepod was next to it. but i have to be objective, 2 homepods are close to $400 right, the pair of rears for the 600c are around $97 and that would give you proper surround effects if you're into that so youd have to choose.

the q900c doesnt have rears only a sub, the q990c has rears but its essentially the same bar... but yeah, a q600c would be better quality since its a somewhat of a consensus that LG bars suck so the cheapest Q series should do the trick, a friend got it and it surprised me.

I was in the same exact position. I ordered a Samsung TV and HW-Q600C soundbar "for fun" in the beginning of this month. Liked the concept so much but returned both to get better models.  What I can say based on my countless hours of research: as of now, the best "budget" but decent quality system is hw-q600c especially if you can get some used version on Amazon or eBay.  The next best system for money is a used / renewed HW-QS730D. This is basically an improved version of the q600c with a better subwoofer, Wi-Fi and FLAC/ALAC support, as well as AirPlay 2 and others. I've realized how important wifi is for loseless streaming. You can't just do it on BT, have to use HDMI.  If you want to know what I ended up with: I've found an HW-Q800D for $370 on eBay from a reputable seller. It's used, but turned out to be like new. I guess enthusiasts here would say it's a steal. I am impressed with the quality of this tech.  Good luck! Added: I see you're concerned about design. Look up hw-s800b and related. Used of course if you want to save up a noticeable amount!

If you are looking at Samsung, out of those I'd recommend the Q600C. It has a slightly weaker sub than others in its price range, but can be a good thing for an apartment. The C series isn't really worth it imo. B650 and B750 are very popular, but no Dolby Atmos support if that's important to you. S60D is like a very budget Sonos Beam, and it sounds like it too. Very poor Dolby Atmos, and almost need the sub for it to sound decent. Also recently discontinued, so they are on sale. If you plan to get the sub for it, might as well go with a different soundbar. If you really want to go without sub, I'd go Sonos Beam Gen 2 or Bose Smart Soundbar (550/600 are almost the same if you can find them on sale).

I was also looking at this comparison. They both still have DTS, I'm pretty sure all Samsung soundbars do. From what I can see, they now market it as True 3.1.2 surround sound instead of just 3.1.2 lol. The biggest difference that I can see, is that it has SpaceFit Sound Pro. I tried it in the S60D, I'm not convinced it really does much. But if you are looking for that feature, might be worth it. Not worth for me over here though, Q600C is $450, Q600f is $700

If you already have a Samsung TV, the addition of Q-Symphony might make it worth leaning that way. I personally just got a Samsung HW-Q600C, w/ the SWA-9200s rears. Spent only ~$394, due to BF/CM sales (retail for the whole package is around ~$750). I’m pretty happy with it, although I can’t say I’d necessarily recommend it yet, as I and another Reddit commenter on this sub recently found a weird design flaw where one of the speakers is missingThat said, for my (fairly small) apartment home theater setup, the sound quality is AMAZING, and the speaker thing is only noticeable when you literally go looking for it, so if you happen to find a deal like mine, I’d absolutely say snag it (make *sure* you get the rears as well though). Otherwise, I’d say wait for a deal on one of the Q9xx models, as others are saying - they’ll come with the rears included, and the higher-quality up-firing speakers will give Atmos a *significant* boost.

r/Soundbars • What's the best soundbar with subwoofer right now for $800 USD or less? I don't need rear speakers, but am not opposed to them. Atmos up-firing support would be nice, but not required. I just purchased a Samsung HW-Q600C soundbar, on an awesome sale for Black Friday. Out of the box, it is what most reviews say it is: a generally pretty decent mid-range soundbar, with good overall audio quality and a decent sub, but slightly weaker performance with Dolby Atmos, due to the underperforming up-firing “Acoustic Beam” height drivers. For the price I paid, I was honestly pretty happy with it already (especially as I have a smaller apartment, and therefore can’t really justify/fit in a larger, more expensive soundbar. However, just after purchasing the soundbar, I came across a pretty decent deal on the SWA-9200s rear speakers ($97, on Cyber Monday), and figured what the hell, I’ll give them a try. IT. WAS. SO. WORTH IT. I cannot say enough how much I *highly* recommend adding the SWA-9200’s to your setup, if you have the Q600C soundbar. The soundbar is decent enough on its own, but adding the rear speakers to it takes it *to a whole other level*, in terms of sound quality, and overall experience/immersiveness. TBH having experienced it with and without them, I don’t think I can really say the soundbar by itself lets you experience true surround sound (and therefore it has NO way of accurately recreating Dolby Atmos - regardless of the up-firing speakers). However, by adding the rear-channel speakers in (and placing them slightly *higher* than the listening position, to accentuate the height effect), I really believe it turns the system into a *true* 5.1.2 setup! It may still be missing something in the height effect over a system with proper ceiling mounted drivers, but as far as this soundbar goes (and for the price - even at retail), I don’t think you can get much better anywhere, and if you’re thinking of spending *any* money at all on your home theater system, I would go with these, first. I may have gotten mine for a deal, but having heard the system with them now, I think I’d happily pay up to $200-250 for them, and ***absolutely*** would buy them at the typical retail of $148! Anyways just an extra tip, for all you Q600C owners out there, who are wanting a little more out of your system 🙂.

It kinda depends on what you want to do. $500 budget, If you want to keep it minimal, just improve the sound of the tv, I would get a Sonos beam for $425 at Amazon right now. Huge upgrade! For a soundbar/sub combo for around $500. Samsung, according to Consumer Reports, seems to rate the highest. Specifically the Samsung Q600C. I also suggest checking deals at open-box at Best Buy if you want new. And check Costco for deals as their return policy is wonderful! And remember, Prime Day is coming next month. So you might wait for that as well. I hope this helps.

r/hometheater • Don't buy a sb, but also don't spend under $1,200. Sometimes reading this sub makes no sense. What is the real suggestion for people who want better than built-in tv speakers but can't spend $1,000+? Or even $500+? ->

I have a q990d in the living room, which replaced my old 6.1 Bose speakers (not a typo, 6.1), it was significantly better, specifically for dialog. Then I bought a q600c for my bedroom, which was an huge upgrade on an old Samsung TV. I didn’t want the rear speakers, since I don’t have the space for them, and I wanted to be able to connect a player (for plex) directly to the bar and have atmos (the q600c has up firing speakers). Is it as good for atmos? No, but I think it is a good compromise for the $.

I just went from an old 2.1ch M360 to a q600c with swa 8500S (they aren't supposed to work with this bar, they do) making it 5.1. Without the rears, the center channel made a massive difference for clarity, the sub is weirdly worse than the old bar(remedied by turning it up a bit), but the availability to use newer formats and newfound clarity in the audio made a HUGE difference for me. Atmos itself was not a life altering as I had hoped, but from what I gather, none of the cheaper bars will do the up-firing part of Atmos very well. WITH the rears, it is absolutely outstanding and legitimately enhanced immersion in my 4k Blu-rays many times over. If your old bar is as bad/old as my m360 was, you WILL enjoy better clarity and format support, but it will not be as massive of a jump as you'd expect without the rears. Atmos is basically a gimmick on the cheaper bars.

I have a Q600C and it has up-firing speakers. Honestly, it’s not really all that. I have just as good of an experience using regular 3.1. You’ll probably need a full 7.1 setup to actually have an impactful Atmos experience without going absolutely ham. I always have issues with it on my PS5 Blu-ray as it seems to compress the audio no matter what configuration I use, as well as general audio latency in games. I think speaker quality and usability should be the main concern. 5.1 would probably be the sweet spot for most casual users; I’m looking to get some rear speakers in the future.

Bought both of them. Q600c is definitely better in terms the clarity of the sound. So if you watch movies, it’s probably a better choice. The bass however is slightly weak on Samsung, you probably wont notice that unless you compare it side by side with JBL. Having that said, Jbl is not at all bad with vocal clarity and bass quality can blow Samsung out of water. I returned Samsung

I visited the store yesterday. Unfortunately, they didn’t allow me to update the firmware on the Q85H. I compared it with the Samsung HW-Q600C, and even one of Samsung's lower-end models sounds more interesting... I'm leaning towards getting a Samsung, but a slightly higher-end model. It wasn’t available in the store, only by special order. Maybe in the future, I’ll switch to a TCL soundbar after they fix their bugs. I don’t understand how Rtings could give such outstanding ratings to the TCL soundbar. :(

It does put you over your price if you get the rear speakers for the Samsung Q600C, but I will say I enjoy having it in my small bedroom to accompany it (room roughly around 120 sqft, average height ceiling). How large is the room you're intending to play it in? I play my PS5 on a Hisense U8H and have the soundbar connected via HDMI. Have not had the need to push the volume past level 20 for respect to the rest of the house. Might be closer to level 25 if I didn't have the rear speakers, but they aren't particularly loud to begin with and add more to the soundbar than anything.

Personally, I'd say it's between either the Ambeo or the Flexus. I'd say skip the Arc Ultra. I've heard it's mainly just the Arc with more bass, but very similar performance all around. Samsung is a solid choice, but Samsung has never truly "wowed" me before, & I've had 3 with the HW-Q6CR, Q600C, & the best I've had the Q800B. It was a solid system all around, but again, nothing really blew me away. & I sometimes found the subwoofer to be a bit overpowering, even at -6. & Also the Q800's have everything the Q900's have except less front channels & 1 less side channel. But the subwoofer is practically damn near the same. Sony ive heard mixed reviews about the Bravia bars, but until Sony releases new subwoofers, I can't recommend anyone buying Sony. I have the S2000 + SW5 & Even the SW5 subwoofer is terribly underwhelming for the price from my experience. Now I currently have the Core 200 myself + the sub 100. I have no complaints with this system at all, which is something I've never said about a soundbar before & I've had a lot anywhere from the Sonos Arc, Bose 600, few JBL'S, & others. I will admit the Bose 600 + BM700 setup I had is quite a contender as my favorite. But I think I'd lean a bit more to the Klipsch system in a blind test. There's just something about how full I think it sounds to me. But then you look at the price difference compared to performance difference, and the Klipsch feels like a much better deal. There's a deal I saw on Amazon for the Core 200, + Surr 100's, + 2 Sub 100's for 1k which seems like a steal to me. Now the Ambeo on the other hand is a fantastic SOUNDING system, possibly the best I've heard with the level of detail it has. But I've read quite a bit about bugs in the system so it's possibly kinda a hit or miss. I haven't had a single issue at all with my Flexus system. & I think the subwoofers are probably better on the Flexus system too considering you can buy either a 10" or 12" while Sennheiser only offers an 8". & Another con of the Sennheiser is there's no rears offered which is quite shocking. So my vote is the Flexus system!

Flexus Core 200 by LITERAL MILES!!! I have no experience with the apple home pod. Had the Q600C briefly, bar sounds alright but the subwoofer sounds like shit. Had the JBL Bar 500 & it was just a sloppy system all around, crappy subwoofer & distorted bar. & The Beam 2 is eh. Quite weak & very dull sounding. If I can comfortably listen to a movie at 60%+ volume, that sucks in my book. Hell I even had it at 100% in my bedroom before & I was just like "that's all this things got???" I also thought the Arc was too soft for me as well. The Core 200 bar by itself is just fantastic! 2 4" subwoofers that really hit hard. It's such a full sounding bar it's amazing! Dialogue enhancement works pretty well too if needed, + a 3 band bass mid & treble equalizer. Choice of either the Sub 100 or Sub 200 (10" or 12") & you can run 2 subs regardless of which sub you buy, unlike Sonos where you can't run 2 sub minis, only 2 full size subwoofers. I sold my Arc, Era 100's & sub mini for my Core 200 + Sub 100 & I don't regret it at all. The soundstage is impressively wide sounding considering the lack of side firing drivers. I've had scenes in movies where it sounds like there's something at the side of my room, beyond the soundbar!

This is like if someone asks "do I buy a civic or Corolla" and you answer "get the Porsche 911 on sale" lol Entry to midrange systems can sound awesome especially given the source audio. A Q990f playing YouTube or basic Netflix would not be at full potential anyways. Re: OP's question though, I was personally considering the B750F versus Q600C (North American model number) which should be equivalent to what you are looking at. I wanted to get B750F simply due to it priced lower, because adding two virtual surrounds (B750F) versus two virtual up-firing channels (Q600C) make marginal difference to me, since neither will be great. You can safely pick the one at the right price.

Remarkable-Piano-836 • 19 days ago

"Atmos" on a soundbar system that contains height channels are always virtual (not "real"). Here "real" is defined as physical speakers located on your ceiling. The soundbar height channels simply shoot audio to your ceiling and then bounce back down to you. That said, Atmos refers to the whole surround experience and not just height channels, just throwing it out there. I think the 9 speakers in Q may be: 2 from each of the left, center and right channels, 1 from the subwoofer, then 1 from each of the height channels. The 6 speakers in B may mean 1 speaker from each channel? Anyways, yes more speakers should sound better. When I was doing my research, Q600 was frequently said to beat the B750. So if you are ok with the price, the Q should sound a bit better.

In my opinion the Q800D is above the other choices you mentioned and performs better than the Q600C, specially if they’re the same price. The extra channels are nice but also the Q800D sounds fuller, plays louder and has a deeper woofer, so depending on the size of your room, there’s less chance of it sounding inadequate/underperforming. From personal experience, I’ve often had customers come back to exchange their Q600x for a Q800x for that very reason. I’m not a fan of the S60D or most all-in-one compact soundbars in general because they’ll just never sound as full as a soundbar with an external subwoofer. Since you want to listen to music on it, I’m assuming you want some punch with it.

Yeah I think if you can afford it you can’t go wrong with the Q800D. At worst, you have a bit of an overkill soundbar for your room size but have a lot of performance headroom and at best you’re future-proofing yourself should you decide to move the soundbar to a bigger room at some point. It’s also just a better sounding soundbar than the Q600C or the B650D.

If you want high end, a Q930 (a B instead of D is likely cheaper) is good enough for you IMHO. It'll come with the rear surround speakers that also fire from the top. I have a C3 in a small living room and picked up a Q990 and it is definitely overkill. It's great but it's a lot for a small area. Don't get me wrong, it sounds great to me. It beats my older Q70T that I had paired SWA8500 read surround speakers. However, if I managed to find a Q930 at an even better price than what I got the Q990, it would have more than did the job. The Q910 would essentially be I think the same soundbar as the Q930, but the rear surround speakers are not wireless and only fire from the side. The best Samsung model that is only soundbar with subwoofer would be the Q900D. It's the same soundbar that comes with the Q990D (bigger than the Q930's bar). It's huge though. If you want to add the wireless rear surround speakers to the Q900 later, it'll be the SWA9500s. They are NOT the same wireless speakers as the ones that come with the Q990 but work similarly. They are wireless with front, side, and top firing. The most budget Samsung option that can do Atmos is the Q600C. I don't think they released a "D" model for this year so that might be cheaper. I believe the cheapest Atmos capable model this year from Samsung Q700D. However, the Q600 models are NOT compatible with the SWA9500s wireless surround speakers. The Q600 from what I am aware of are only compatible with the SWA9200s surround speakers. The SWA9200s I believe are only side firing. The cheapest bar that will work with the SWA9500 I believe will be the Q700C. It'll also work with the Q800 as well. The Q800D would likely be the "go nicer but not top of the line flagship" expensive.

well, budget and rear speakers don t go in the same sentence:). So, let me give u my recommendations. And yes, samsung is the best price to performance soundbar manufacturers in my opinion. The Q930D is the least expensive rear speakers option for you. I own one, im listening to it rn, best choice i ve take. Depends very much on where u live, but u should not spend more than €650 on them. Now let s talk about the more friendly budget options. first Q600c/Q6cc ( are the same thing) u can find them at about €250 and for their price, it s a very solid option. if u want something louder but not as clear and premium as the Q600 u need a B750D, almost 100w more, i would NOT go for the b650d tho, as it s their lowest model

It definitely is possible to get some Atmos “feel” out of a standalone soundbar OP, the JBL is great for 5.1 but it down mixes Atmos into stereo - you’re looking for a 3 digit number like 3.1.2 to signify true Atmos. I’d recommend Samsung Q600F (or a D if it’s significantly cheaper, the D is last years model - only real difference is sub size) or if you want something different a [Polk Magnifi Max AX](https://www.polkaudio.com/en-us/product/outlet/refurbished/magnifi-max-ax/300542-refurbished.html) which you can pick up for under $400 with the discount code at top of the page.

Yup. The Samsung is 3.1.2 I believe, the Polk is 5.1.2. You’d need rear speakers for true 5.1 surround - but both of these will sound great in your apartment without them.

If dialogue clarity is the main goal, go for something with a dedicated center channel and a mode that boosts voices. Between the two you mentioned, the Samsung HW-Q600C is the better pick. It’s a 3.1.2 setup with a dedicated center speaker, Samsung’s Adaptive Sound feature that makes speech easier to hear, and it will work perfectly fine over ARC even without eARC. The HW-B750D is okay but not as clear or well-tuned for voices. Other options worth checking out in your budget are the Sony HT-G700, Yamaha SR-C30A or SR-B30A, and the Polk Signa S4, all of which do a great job with dialogue. If you go with the Q600C, make sure Adaptive Sound is turned on and, if needed, increase the center channel level a bit to make voices stand out even more.

I have the q600c and I can’t say the upfiring speakers do much but I also don’t have another soundbar to compare. So maybe there is an overall broader sound because of the upfiring speakers. I wouldn’t worry about the wifi option as you’re right, just run music streaming through your TV and avoid the lower quality bluetooth sound. It’s a lower end soundbar but it’s 20x better than my TV speakers. I moved from a house with a robust 5.1 AVR system to an apartment with this soundbar and I think it’s pretty great and still get that punchy feeling of the audio being presented as was intended.

Honestly, the **Yamaha SR-B30A is a hidden gem**! Even more so than the SR-B40A. I bought the SR-B30A ($299/ regular $450) over the holiday to compare it with the Samsung HW-Q600C ($350/ regular $700) that I bought. And I ended up keeping the Yamaha. It performed much better in bass despite only having the built in subwoofer, as compared to the separate subwoofer on the Samsung. The Samsung had better sound separation, as it's a 3.1.2 vs the Yamaha's 2.1 -- but the **Samsung was WAY too tinny**. The Yamaha despite having less channels sounded much richer. The audio from the Samsung was pretty good for movies, though the bass was still a bit lacking, but where it failed miserably was with **MUSIC**. I played with all the settings on the Samsung, which are fairly limited and couldn't get music to sound decent, zero bass... and again, very tinny. The Yamaha sounded almost as good for movies, still much richer sound, but not as clean sound separation -- but for music it sounded much much better than the Samsung -- almost like it was in a different class. The reason I chose the SR-B30A over the SR-B40A is the built in subwoofers **AND it supports an external subwoofer**. So I picked up a wireless Klipsch subwoofer from Costco to pair it with the B30A -- total cost was maybe \~$500 CAD for both the B30A and the Klipsch subwoofer. It's an AWESOME pairing, more bass than you'll really need -- but you can crank it up if you want to physically feel the rumble! And the sound quality and bass from that pairing is way better than any out of the box soundbar/sub combo you can get for $500. CONS The few things I don't like about the Yamaha are, like you said, the fabric vs the metal construction. But I think the fact that really high end speakers use fabric to cover speakers, I think it was a deliberate choice by Yamaha to use fabric over metal for quality of sound purposes! So I think **there's a reason it's using fabric** and it's not to save money! This could be a reason why the Samsung, which was all plastic/metal, sounded very tinny. The other minor things I don't like are it doesn't pair as well with my Samsung TV, which is to be expected. It doesn't show volume level on screen. And the soundbar has no display, only a few lights that blink -- which isn't very intuitive. Samsung wins here.

Hey everyone, Just wanted to share my recent experience switching soundbars and hopefully get some advice too. I originally had the Samsung HW-Q600C paired with my LG C1, and honestly — I loved it. The sound was rich and powerful, with that classic “fat” Samsung audio profile. Even without rear speakers, it felt well-balanced and full, whether I was watching YouTube, live TV, or movies. I only started wondering if it could be better with rear speakers… and that’s when I made a mistake. I upgraded(?) to the LG S70TR thinking rear channels would improve the overall experience. I was so wrong. Yes, the S70TR has rear speakers, but they’re incredibly weak. If I sit perfectly centered between them, I basically can’t hear them at all — it’s like the front center speaker is overpowering everything. If I move even slightly to one side, I only hear that side’s rear speaker and lose the rest. It’s disorienting and completely breaks immersion. Sound quality overall is just meh. The S70TR sounds very midrange-heavy, with none of that deep, rich feel the Samsung had. YouTube videos and live TV — which sounded great on the Q600C — sound flat and lifeless. The only time the LG setup feels immersive is with highly technical, Atmos-optimized movies… and even then, it’s hit or miss. The configuration is also frustrating. If I use TV Sound Mode Share, I can’t adjust balance or levels. If I switch to Sound Bar Mode Control, I get those options — but then I lose Dolby Atmos! 😩 I had Atmos + Dolby Vision working at one point, but after switching some settings, it disappeared and I haven’t been able to get it back. I really regret the switch. The Samsung HW-Q600C may not have had rear speakers, but it sounded better overall and just worked with no headaches. Does anyone have tips to improve the S70TR experience on an LG C1? Any tricks to improve rear speaker clarity or get Atmos + Vision working again? Thanks!

So I bought the Q600C with rears and the Hisense AX5125H and plan on returning one of them. So far we've been more impressed with the Hisense actually. The Samsung does get louder, but being in an apartment, the Hisense is still plenty loud. But the key difference is that Hisense seems much more immersive with its own dedicated rears. The extra rears we had to buy for the Samsung never seem as in sync with the main speakers as the seamless sounding Hisense. Like yes they work and there isnt any audio lag, but the Samsung still feels like separate speakers in comparison with the Hisense. Our rear speaker placement isn't the best though (on top/side of our couches).

Saw your post. Let me reply here itself :D My personal experience is listen yourself and judge. I have listened to Sony Sony HT-S40R and believe me, 600W doesn't sound like one. This is when I listened to it in a small room, even. Personally tested Samsung HW-Q600C. Not impressive. And I don't have budget to spend on 800 series model. Everywhere, almost every single platform, I have just heard good things about the Yamaha YAS-209, even though it was launched in 2019. It's sound signature is still too good. I was about to get it in 22k once, and I missed that chance, and regretting still. I did not hear personally, but even store persons said it's really good. Unfortunately it's not available right now, and the actual MRP is 39k. This LG SC9S was truly good. I did not expect much, but I was impressed. In a large showroom and in length, it sounded just so good. I did not feel that it actually even needs a rear speaker as it's that good. About the rear speakers though, when I asked the showroom executive, he said it's available. I visited a dedicated LG showroom. My only question was about the LG SQ70TY (3.1.1), or maybe now S77TY (3.1.3) as it would save me some 6k. Being price concious, I will put 6k to good use. I just don't want to regret buying something above 20-25k if it sounds shit. So the best thing is: Go and try yourself.

Yes, I checked Samsung model what you have mentioned, and for 24k price I didn't like it much. JBL 2.1 (mk2) deep bass is doing a lot better justice to movie and music experience, and is available at a much cheaper price. Check that as well. You won't like the Samsung anymore.

I bought a samsung Q-600 soundbar for more or less $200 as it was set to be replaced by the next year's version

r/Soundbars • How much money do most soundbars with decent sound costs? I'm not looking for audiophile soundbars or whatever, just something that sounds decent and not muffled. ->

How’s the dialogue on the 800? I just got the 600c and not very happy with it. The dialogue is so low compared to everything else. Thinking about returning it and getting the 800

I had the same problem with the hw q800 series 3 years ago. Had a hw q600 series soundbar and sub that sub was way punchier than the big one. I had found a way to download a bass test somewhere to see if it was me or sub just underwhelming. Turned out the latter, returned it and got a refund. Some reviews of the q990d say the same, others don't for some reason.

Reject this. Buy Philips 8967 or Samsung Q600 Series. Far better 🙏 After meridian is gone, LG has screwed up big time.

I think Q700F onwards the subwoofer has got a rehaul. Q600F might have the same one as the previous version

Honestly under that budget, get a 2.1 system and call it a day. If you really need a soundbar, i got my parents a samsung q600( was around 24k) its pretty decent.

Yes, maybe the q730 will be better then. But neither the Q600c or Qs730 have the Active voice amplifier, tho you can still put up the volume of the center Chanel on both of them, to hear the voices clearer. If you can find an old/used Q800b or C it would be much better. but if not go with the Qs730

As a HT installer that’s installed just about everything, my favorite is the Samsung q60 which is now the q600. That guy sounds amazing with any brand TV. Bonus if you can utilize Q-symphony

Get the Sonos system. Samsung is terrible at support. Further you can buy the Sonos components from Costco. At least most of them. Return policy is quite generous as you probably know. Don’t be tempted by the Samsung pricing. It’s just not as good or reliable as the Sonos systems. He’ll even the JBL soundbar systems have better sound than the Q series.
