Oh yeah, didnt notice the budget but yup 930f is also to be considered
You mean QS750? The rears of the QS750 are not completely wireless as they are connected to a little radio station that's communicating with the soundbar. Q930F are completely wireless (aside from the power cable). The sub of the 930F is very likely better as it is much heavier. Try to listen to the QS750 (or QS710 as it's the same, only lacking the rears) and Q930F in a shop. I decided to go with the 930F.
I have the 930F and I am sure the 800F sounds very similar because Of the very similar weights and simensions. You just loose a few surround channels and the rear speakers. 200 € is 200 € ... So go for the 800 😬
Q800d/f is your best option. Slightly over your budget but worth it. I have bought 800d and q930f and both were excellent for movies.
I second this, just go the same sound bar and it's been An absolute treat. Sounds good and got it for a great price in Aus
Put 100€ more and get the q930f/935f. You wont reget
Hey, thanks for the mention buddy. Loving my 930f as well.
Ok perfect, now we know you want rear speakers. That rules out a lot of other options. IMO, you'd be very happy with the Q930f. It's slightly smaller and less powerful than the 990f, but I doubt you will be disappointed. I have the Q930C in my basement and I'm very happy with it. This should save you quite a bit of money. Here in Canada the 930 is about $500 cheaper. Check for open box sales as well. Don't pay regular price 😜
The bar is bigger, not the drivers. The Q930 is already waaay overpowered for a space like that. I have a 15x20 room and with the Q930 we watch TV at 10-12, movies 14-16 and I love it loud and when I get the opportunity to watch without the wife it's 25 or so max... anything over 30 is uncomfortable to be in the room with. Even rtings said, paraphrasing here, that they couldn't recommend the premium for the Q990 series over the Q930 because they are so close in performance. Sure the Q990 has more power, but as described it wouldn't be used. Sure it's got a few more drivers in that bigger bar, but according to my research and personal experience you'd never be able to tell the difference.
It's not 500 bucks better, that's always been the issue with the 990, it's generally been waay overpriced for the relatively small features. The 930 is already going to blow the socks off most people. It's not like going to the 990 is going to be a significant upgrade and 500 bucks difference is a significant difference.
If you're willing to go used or refurb you should be able to find a Samsung Q930 for that, it will absolutely blow away any new $500 MSRP soundbar.
I'm using a Samsung Q930 on an LG C1 OLED and have not had any issues like you mention. The soundbar shows the volume level for instance, and the soundbar stays on Adaptive which is good for all sound modes.
Keep in mind the Samsung soundbar setups with true wireless surrounds like the Q930 you can tell it to use the surrounds as additional front channels instead. So if your living situation changes you then have good surrounds still without buying an entirely new setup.
