"Noble fokus rex5 best sounding change my mind. ... Five drivers per ear bud game changing for sure ... Yes, you're so right. They are by far number one. ... There may be a few airbuds that get better battery a little bit, better ANC but right now my two cents worth, there's nothing on a planet that sounds better than these. ... I have all the heavy hitters. The techniques 80/100 Sony 4 and 5 sennheisers 3 and 4 and the Devialet gemini II. ... Ronontech on YouTube did a review on the Aviot a few days ago. I belive he liked the Nobels better. ... Also on YouTube, check out Flossie Carter review on the Nobles, he went absolutely nuts. Best sounding wireless earbuds he has ever heard."
"As for gaming I'd probably rank them 1. A50 ... As for music I'd rank them 1. A50 ... And for movies I would rank them 1. A50."
"these fifth generation A50s sound better than anything I’ve ever used. ... New DAC, new Graphene drivers, really nice sounding."

"Besides the center channel on Samsung is fantastic even on my Q800 which is not as good as the 990. It's so clear it's crazy, glass breaking in movies sounds real as well because of the center channel."
"blew me away with the level of detail it has ... nothing I've had even sounds remotely close ... none of them are even close to the Ambeo in terms of detail to the sound ... it's truly INCREDIBLE!!!"
"Sounds sooooo insanely polished & perfect it's almost scary how clean it sounds. ... If you strictly want the absolute cleanest sounding system, Ambeo Plus is the ONLY way to go!!"

"It literally shakes the house on not even a quarter volume"
"the mini is the bar better sounding bar ... gets down to about 45HZ, so doesn't need a sub, unless you are a mass bass head."
"I thought the Sonos sounded the best, so full just on its own and then the sub added to it"

"I chose the tunable version because I listen to many genres. ... Personaly, i'm using this for variety of genre. ... I tune the switches based on genre to get the best out of it. ... For pop, I go with [ON, OFF, ON, OFF] to bring out warm lows and clear, lively vocals. ... When I listening to breakcore, I switch to [ON, ON, OFF, ON] for more aggressive bass and treble to match the chaotic energy. ... Synthwave feels just right with [ON, OFF, ON, ON], giving a nice retro shimmer and deep punch. ... For the smooth vibes of citypop, I prefer [OFF, OFF, ON, OFF], keeping things balanced and mellow with good vocal clarity. ... And for classical music, I set it to [OFF, ON, ON, OFF] this helps highlight instrument details and gives a more open, natural feel. ... With just a flick of switches, this set becomes a real genre shapeshifter."
"dsp version is like having 7 iems, 2 with the noozles swapping + the free EQ settings."
"overall amazing bass sound and texture ... with the tuning switches set to Up up down down ... with the version with switches you can adjust it to the perfect tuning for you."

"95 percent of the time I don't miss the rears because the Ambeo is so room filling. ... I don't have rears in my second living room where I have an ambeo and don't miss the rears most of the time."

"The bass is slow and sludgy on the Cadenza. ... They can't keep up with faster tracks. ... If you're listening to metal, prog, acid jazz, etc... then you may have some issues with that. ... Fast, heavyhitting techno? Not with these."
"I personally felt the bass was pretty anemic on it and I'm not a bass-head. ... Less bass than the ER2xr, Blessing 2, Blessing 2 Dusk, IE 200 etc. ... Very thin sounding. ... They have less bass than the Moondrop Blessing 2. ... They have less bass than the Etymotic ER2xr. ... They have less bass than the Sennheiser IE200. ... Just not enough bass and I"m no bass-head."
"The subwoofer is weak and almost non existent."

"So far the only bug I have with my Ambeo is once every couple of months Amazon stops responding when I talk to it. ... I just unplug it and reconnect it and the problem goes away for a few months. ... If you are only using for TV, then this bug might not bother you."

"The Pro X for example is marketed at over 4,000 square feet but it's only one air change. That won't be enough to help with odors."
"My Levoit Core 200s is advertised on Amazon as providing coverage for a 1,000 square foot room. In reality, it *could change the air in a 1,000 square foot space but only once in an hour on it's highest speed. You want more air changes per hour. Going by 5 air changes an hour on it's highest fan speed, the Core 200s covers 200 square feet."
"The mini is much too small for a bedroom."

"the surround and Atmos effects are very limited and are felt especially when pushing the volume"
"the channel count is only 5.1.2. ... The rears are mixed surround channels since the soundbar down-mixes 7.1 to 5.1. ... I've tried the Dolby test tones and rear and surround channels come from the rear speaker only so it does break a little of the immersion"
"the surround effect isn't as encompassing as a full fledged 5.1.2/7.1.4 system"

He mentioned he didn’t want a sub. But I did order an open box sennheiser ambeo mini for 350ish plus the ambeo sub totaled about 1k. Come in tomorrow and plan to try it out for 60 days. My plan was to test this ambeo combo, Sonos beam + sub mini just under 1k and Klipsch flexus 200 + sub 100 for 600 for about 60 days and see which ones I like and return the other 2 before my 60 days
So far I do like the ambeo mini. I’ve watched a bit without the sub and gets deep enough and very clean. Even with the sub, it doesn’t get overwhelming or boomy but does have a rumble. I’ve watched a few episodes of American primeval without the sub and kept volume around 20%-35ish during the day. It’s pretty impressive and most likely to keep the soundbar and probably return the $600 sub. It definitely sounds better with it but not at that price point. If I can get it around 4-450ish, I’d grab it again. The soundbar alone, I would compare the clarity to the paired OG HomePods I have in another smaller room but this is louder, deeper and overall just better. It’s not like other soundbars where you have deeper bass and lose that clean sound. I’d imagine both soundbar and sub will get better over time once it breaks the break-in period. I was hoping to grab the Klipsch flexus 200 but it’s been out of stock. It’s bigger and cheaper but have read that it’s pretty boomy by itself. Not an expert with sound and I’ve only had it a few days so take it with a grain of salt.
Grab a Sennheiser Ambeo mini than the much inferior Sonos Beam gen 2. It supports all the codecs and even sounds decent for music
Interested in this too, I've also been looking at the Bose Smart soundbar but leaning more towards the Sennheiser Ambeo mini, currently £329
I'll assume you're talking about the Beam 2 as similarly priced I have a small lounge and thin walls so don't want a sub, and don't really have the space for rear speakers, so don't need to buy into the whole Sonos speakers everywhere thing. Plus if I did that it would be cheaper to buy a proper receiver and speaker package From reviews the Ambeo has better sound than the Beam. I also don't have any Apple products so can't set up the trueplay on a Sonos which it needs to get the best out of it. But the main thing is the Beam doesn't have Bluetooth, which would be used from other devices, music from phone etc
You would have to check the soundbar specs before purchasing. You should do so no matter what to ensure compatibility with your equipment. I'm guessing you haven't purchased a soundbar yet. My Ambeo mini doesn't have one but my Sonos Beam does.
I have the Sennheiser Ambeo Mini and I feel it's amazing, tested sonos beam 2 and Bose 600 but opted for the Ambeo, Bose a close 2nd, Beam 2 was a bit drab compared to the other two imo and a bit of a disappointment.
Yes, I have listened to all 3 and to my ears, the mini was the best sounding. Others, of course, will experience it differently.
I sold my Beam for an Ambeo mini, the mini is the bar better sounding bar and gets down to about 45HZ, so doesn't need a sub, unless you are a mass bass head. Lol. Also has 4 band EQ, so you can tweak the sound to suit your preference a lot more than Sonos.
Hi, I have the Ambeo Mini, cause it's in a smaller room. Sound will be room dependant' but keeping that in mind, here's my settings. I have the Ambeo mode set to medium, the middle tick box ticked. Sorry I am not at home now, so can't get the proper terminology. EQ, Foundation is set to ;-1DB, the second slider at ;;-0,5DB the third at 2DB and the forth slider at 0,5DB. This works for me and my specific room.
Ambeo Mini, the bass is incredible on there even without a subwoofer
As someone who used to be an installer for GeekSquad, and went through numerous soundbars to find the one that works best for me, I never liked Samsung soundbars. Their competitors have better sound to my ears, even the standalone all-in-one options. With that said, I do understand why so many people went the Samsung route. It’s simply the best value PERIOD. This is very unfortunate for movie/music lovers and I hope the issues get resolved quickly. Edit: A couple of people have asked what I recommend. My recommendations will be from my own personal experiences having owned these soundbars for 6+ months. I’ll give pros & cons: My first recommendation would be the Sony Theater Quads, ESPECIALLY if paired with a Sony high end/OLED TV. What drew me to it was Sony’s Center Sync V2. I tested the Sony HT-A9’s when it first came out in 2021, and DID NOT like it. It sounded fine when watching movies through BluRay but not streaming. You had to turn it up quite a lot for it to come alive and even then it sounded distorted, thin, and the phantom center channel was just so weak. Couldn’t hear anything no matter what sound preset I had it on. Also it had sound drop outs regularly. Everything I didn’t like about the HT-A9’s was drastically approved upon with the Theater Quads. Convincing enough phantom center channel (even though I use center sync), and sounds great when streaming & watching BluRays. Only cons are the subwoofer options as they don’t get low enough for good clean bass, MSRP, and some people might not have the space to get the FL/FR speakers as far apart as recommended (8ft+). If you can find a good enough deal on these with a good return window, TRY THEM! Sennheiser Ambeo Max, Plus, & Mini. I put all of these in one category because of the Ambeo 3D technology baked into each one. It’s simply in a class of its own. You have to hear it in your environment to make you a believer. Atmos is very convincing & EQ is customizable. It’s simply in a class of its own. I love Sennheiser’s consumer division, especially before being sold to sonova hearing. Only cons are the center channel failure that’s been reported from some owners, heard that could possibly be fixed with a cooling fan, HDMI handshake issues, occasional disconnection, and again MSRP. Each one can be found heavily reduced in price open box at Best Buy, and second hand on EBay. I’ve experienced the disconnects, a simple power cycle always fixed it. I loved the sound enough to deal with that. Any Sonos 5.X.X/7.X.X configuration because before the app went to shit, they were honestly the most positively reviewed soundbar for good reason. For so many it just worked. One of the best soundbar subwoofers. Small customizable EQ, can be found second hand at reasonable prices, of course it’s within reason because of its resale value. Cons no DTS-HD support for BluRay movies. Good alternatives through word of mouth I haven’t tried: Klipsch new Flexus soundbars with different configurations, Polk Magnifi MAX AX, Bose Ultra Smart, and Nakamichi Dragon (way too expensive for a soundbar in my opinion though). There was much more I wanted to add in the text, I feel like this is already too long. And there are more lower end soundbars that I think that could be worth a try from LG, Vizio, TCL, etc. But like I said before Samsung definitely was the best value. Good luck, and I’m hoping for a good turnaround for you guys!
Ambeo = high quality sound and you can add whatever subwoofer so like a cheap used SVS and have a banging system. Samsung = includes rears and a sub and gets the job done so if you are looking for a sound bubble and want to take advantage of atmos then it’s a better option.
The Ambeo is better for music but doesn’t include a subwoofer but you can add either their insanely expensive ones or another one. With an additional RSL 12S or 10S subwoofer this could be a pretty potent pairing-but no rear speakers or subwoofer-$1000 for just a bar is pretty wild. The Ambeo is for people who want good sound from one bar and don’t want rears because they don’t have room or they find them unsightly or both. The Samsung is better for movies and includes a subwoofer and rear speakers. It’s the more balanced offering and the right pick for most-it’s a better value. Better atmos effects and higher speaker driver count.
If you want good clarity and a good soundstage take the ambeo. I also tested the 995 GD. Front and vocals are not so good in m opinion but You have surround speakers.
