Ambeo = high quality sound and you can add whatever subwoofer so like a cheap used SVS and have a banging system. Samsung = includes rears and a sub and gets the job done so if you are looking for a sound bubble and want to take advantage of atmos then it’s a better option.

r/Soundbars • Bose Ultra Soundbar vs Sonos Arc Ultra - recommendations as to which one for me? ->Sennheiser ambeo plus is on sale for $999 at bestbuy and is a great sounding soundbar. You will still need the $600 sub or you can use whichever sub with that soundbar. But no rears.

r/Soundbars • The Best Soundbars to Buy now? ->Forget Sony. The question that really arises is Sonos Arc Ultra or Ambeo Plus? I have the opportunity to listen to both (I have the arc ultra + era300 in surround at home). The ambeo is better than the arc ultra in bar alone and in a small room, however impossible to add surround, and that clearly makes the difference! That's why I went to Sonos and I don't regret it at all!

r/Soundbars • The most recommended soundbars on Reddit (r/soundbar VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->I have the Senn Plus + Senn sub. They are excellent together. The sound in our room for music and movies is crystal clear and balanced. You can even enhance dialogue from their smart control app as well. Their Smart Control app is very easy to use to minimize or boost the ambeo effect and select among different sound profiles (it's cool looking too unlike the Sonos app). I've had mine for one year and have had zero issues with overheating or HDMI/cec issues. My ambeo system is also a part of my Google home system as I have a variety of different brands all connected for all home audio across my whole house. Spotify connect works great as well with the Ambeo. I strictly avoided Sonos due to them making you use only their speakers for whole home audio plus they had BIG app issues all last year and earlier this year as well. They have also made older speakers of theirs obsolete forcing you to upgrade, lame. If you have the Best Buy tech membership, they let you return whatever you buy within 60 days if you don't like it. Good luck with the decision!
r/Soundbars • Sonos Beam 2 + Sub min + 2 Eras 100 vs Sennheiser AMBEO Soundbar Plus Ambio Sound Bar Plus + AMBEO Sub Ambio Subwoofer ->I bought one a couple weeks ago and returned it 3 days later. The sound was awesome when it worked, but I had connectivity issues. Very well could be my fault, but I couldn’t figure it out. Just ordered a Bose smart ultra and fully expect to have the same problem.. but it seems like there might be more options in the Bose app to troubleshoot it. Fingers crossed… I really just wanted the full sound those both offer without getting a sub that would startle my skittish dog. And I don’t really have room for surrounds. That’s why I’ve skipped the 990 (also the price). However, if the Bose is annoying too, that’s my next stop. (Btw I have a ~6 mo old Samsung tv so figure the 990 has to work. Haha)
r/Soundbars • Sennheiser AMBEO Soundbar Plus worth it? Tech issues? ->I’ve had the sennheiser ambeo, Bose smart ultra, and the Samsung q800, in that order. First two were returned for connectivity issues with my newish Samsung tv. The q800 has been great (the ambeo probably had the best surround but only if it connected). Q symphony is amazing. With the first two bars, you could clearly tell the sound was coming from below the TV… q symphony fixes that completely. And the subwoofer is amazing.
r/Soundbars • Has Bose lost its crown? ->I have the arc ultra and sounds great with the bar alone. I plan to add a sub later on. I also tested out the Ambeo Plus bar alone and it sounds quite rich in clarity. I was close to buying it instead.

I couldn't even find an ambeo max at BB, but I did test out the Plus, and it sounds really good for the bar alone. I did find the design quite ugly though (and dust loves hanging on that material), kinda like the 990D lol I tested it against the Bose ultra, and the Sonos Arc Ultra. All of them sounded great, but the Ambeo felt like it lacked that full oomph sound I wanted, but it was very nice clarity. The bose had that full sound I wanted, but so did the Sonos. The Sonos is a newer design with a bit more features so I chose that.
r/Soundbars • Sennheiser Ambeo Max - that problematic? Sonos arc ultra? ->Sonos stuff is great. When I lived in apartments I had the Arc/Arc Ultra and Era 300 and Sub mini in my living room and Beam Gen 2 in my bedroom. Once we got our house though I had to have real surround so I got some Klipsch towers with upfiring Dolby Atmos, center channel and surrounds. I’m going to add rear heights next all paired to a bad ass Onkyo receiver. I love Sonos for small spaces though. I’m going to pick up a set of Era 300s and a sub mini for my bedroom. Right now I have a Sennheiser AMBEO plus in there and my Beam is in the office. Sorry for the word vomit, autistic and you struck a hyper fixation 😂😂
