r/SoundbarsBest soundbar to pair with LG C5 OLED? Currently considering LG SC9S? Any other recommendations in that price range?

I have an LG B4 OLED an recently bought an LG ST80 sound bar. At the beginning was a bit disappointed; low bass and sound improvement from TV speakers wasn't that noticeable, leaving aside "sound level". But started to watch shows with atmos audio and started to loved. The height sound wasn't impressive so I decided to buy the rear speakers and it was a game change. My main concern about the rear speakers was where to place then since my couch was back to the wall, so after some research I went for a behind couch shelf. It looks very nice and have the possibility to move the rear speakers as needed. Still not impressed about height sound, but definitely very satisfied with my ST80. I move the bass behind my TV, and because of my room dispositions turns out that was the best placement, the bass quality improve a lot. I decided at the beginning for a LG soundbar due to wow features. But after using it; Orchestra not noticeable and not using wow sync since found some interference. So it is connected via hdmi eArc. But the possibility to use the same remote controller for TV is very nice. I haven't used nor hear the Samsung soundbar so I have no opinion regarding it. I did try the Sony System 6 and got impressed about the height sound, however, I prefer the LG one. My budget wasn't enough to go for the LG S90TR but in the future do not discard to upgrade to that one for the extra height speakers

I was going to buy this exact model for $700 buck a couple days ago at BestBuy, instead I went with the Samsung Q930D that was on clearance for $850. I'm glad I did and am loving the Q930d sound system. The one thing that held me back from getting the QS750F was that the rear speakers are wired together. I wanted an all wireless speaker system (only needing to plug them each to a power outlet). But if that is no issue, from what I've researched, the QS750F is a great buy. I think I would have been happy with it regardless but in 2026 I want my speakers to be all wireless. Another option that I actually bought but am returning is the Sony Bravia Theatre System 6. It's new and only $600 at Bestbuy. The bass hits hard with the subwoofer. I'm talking it feels 20 times more powerful than even the Q930d. My issue and reason I am returning is the rear speakers are not only wired together, they are wired to a bulky mac mini looking box. Also, the soundbar is wired to the subwoofer and all the connections go to the subwoofer. It did not feel wireless at all in any way. Oh and also with the Sony Bravia Theatre System 6, the soundbar does not have upfiring speakers on it. It makes the sound feel like its coming from a small box directly in front of you. With upfiring speakers on other soundbars, it makes the sound feel wider and more open. Overall though I think the QS750f would be a great buy. Only has 1 wire between the rear speakers, the soundbar has upfiring speakers, the subwoofer looks to be really good according to reviews. It has wireless capabilities like chromecast to it. I don't think you can go wrong with it.

Dunno about this one but my cheap old Sony DAV-TZ140 sounds better than the HT-S60 😭. I bought the HT-S60 a few days ago.

r/SoundbarsPlease recommend an excellent quality 5.1 soundbar system w/ subwoofer for predominately movie watching with a Sony Bravia (if that matters). Price range up to $5-600(ish). Please and thank you in advance! 📺🔊🍿🙏🏻

Just blindly go for the Sony HT-S60, I have one and it’s excellent! Sound is dynamic and bass is genuinely powerful. Plus you can control it with your Bravia TV remote Just one caveat is to be prepared for manual software updates via usb-c

r/SoundbarsSony Bravia Theatre System 6 Or Samsung Q990f?

I don't know much about how to define sound but I can relate. Theater system 6 is suited best for those who like the sound of bose soundlink flex. System 6 has a flat sound with ample bass which will not give you headache even after listening for longer time. There is no higher pitch sound so it lacks details of music instruments of higher notes. It is good for enjoying low volume peaceful soothing music but not for high volume rock music. It is best suited for movies anytime and it can beat any other speaker near to its price. Samsung 990 has much clarity and can be a device for both music and movie lovers..If cost decides choice then only system 6 is a better choice

I didn’t realize that the Sony, the Bravia ht-s60 was the Bravia 6 soundbar! Does it come with rear speakers because in the US they sell it without rears for $599-699 and with rear speakers for $799-$899. Depending on if it’s on sale. My mistake, if it comes with rears, yes get the Sony over the LG and JBL. If it comes with rears for $600 or less that’s a great price here. It gets good ratings too. I have Sony Quads that are amazing but cost $2500 US. Good luck

Yea I’d forget the one without up firing speakers as that does make a huge difference. I know what your budget is and if you don’t mind piecing a system together then I’d say do you have Costco where you live? Or can you order from there online? I say this because their previous flagship which I had the a7000 has a bar almost exactly the same but has 2 less drivers. It’s a 5.1.2 with upfiring speakers but it sadly doesn’t come with rears speakers or a sub but many people have found it produces just enough bass to satisfy them and they buy the 2 options of rear speakers that go on sale often. The bar itself is the a5000 and it used to cost $899 brand new and Costco had a huge clearance on it for $279 US. It’s an amazing sounding bar but like I said you would have to buy rears separately when you get enough to save. One is sr3 rears that don’t have upfiring and cost between $279-$399 and the rs5’s which are pretty awesome. They are $599 but go on sale for $399 on Black Friday. So that’s just a thought because the a5000 is so good you might be happy enough without rear speakers. And if you don’t mind piecing have a Costco, and don’t like it you can return it, but it kills everything on this list. Heck I paid $1299 for the a7000, $599 for the rs5 rears and $599’for the sw5 sub and just sold it all for $600 and the guy drove 5 hours to come get it and he’s loving it now going on 2 months. Sorry about this long ass story. Just don’t settle and make sure you can return it for free. Good luck my friend

Since u didn't mention tv it's difficult to say Here is my take with Airtel dtv and optical cable with decades old lcd sony tv I was able to connect this sony htS60 bought for around 49K inr Set up is in my hall of size roughly 14x10 feets It's more than enough for a room My usage is generally movies . With rear speakers and no charging /battery hassle It feels great value for money which I didn't found on lg or samsung . After owning this I must say it's all about your like what kind of bass u like and what u use it for and room size It's not about how much watt it is , or how big speakers or sub it has But how many unit it has like 5.1. etc. and how they are calibrated. If u want much better experience then shift to sony quad remember quality comes with price Better recommended to have avr and amp with different speakers but it requires lot of expertise
