I don't know much about how to define sound but I can relate. Theater system 6 is suited best for those who like the sound of bose soundlink flex. System 6 has a flat sound with ample bass which will not give you headache even after listening for longer time. There is no higher pitch sound so it lacks details of music instruments of higher notes.It is good for enjoying low volume peaceful soothing music but not for high volume rock music. It is best suited for movies anytime and it can beat any other speaker near to its price. Samsung 990 has much clarity and can be a device for both music and movie lovers..If cost decides choice then only system 6 is a better choice.
r/Soundbars • Sony Bravia Theatre System 6 Or Samsung Q990f? ->Sony Bravia theatre system 6 has thumping bass module
r/Soundbars • Suggestions means Alot to find my First Soundbar home theatre ->Since u didn't mention tv it's difficult to say Here is my take with Airtel dtv and optical cable with decades old lcd sony tv I was able to connect this sony htS60 bought for around 49K inr Set up is in my hall of size roughly 14x10 feets It's more than enough for a room My usage is generally movies . With rear speakers and no charging /battery hassle It feels great value for money which I didn't found on lg or samsung . After owning this I must say it's all about your like what kind of bass u like and what u use it for and room size It's not about how much watt it is , or how big speakers or sub it has But how many unit it has like 5.1. etc. and how they are calibrated. If u want much better experience then shift to sony quad remember quality comes with price Better recommended to have avr and amp with different speakers but it requires lot of expertise
r/Soundbars • Soundbar recommendation under -INR 40K/$470 ->seconded. the sony does have better bass than the 930F, but the 930F has a better bubble surround experience. The samsung would suck for stuff like rock though, the bass isn't good enough. It's decent for movies etc, not so much for music Have a listen to the 930F, the sony system 6 and the jbl 1000, you should be able to get that one for about 64k (slightly outside your budget) and see which sound profile you enjoy. The JBL is kinda decent for your needs (excellent bass decent surrounds), but the dialogues on that thing can feel a bit recessed. The sony is decent over all, no issues for me but for the single HDMI port. Samsung I have put down my thoughts on already. would suggest staying away from LG, their bars used to be quite excellent, but they have started messing up since the LGsp8a and such were launch. The sound doesn't feel full enough.
r/Soundbars • 55" Sony Bravia | 200 sq ft (maybe 250 later) — Best soundbar/HT under ₹55k (approx. 600 USD) for movies+ OTT+ rock music+ Taylor Swift? ->System 6 has a huge woofer and makes your house vibrate. I personally feel great
r/Soundbars • Sony Bravia Theatre System 6 Or Samsung Q990f? ->I got the new HT S60. Lots of stuff. But you have to give up HDMI output and then you can only use EArc from the TV. And also on the display, you can see the format from the app. It was fine with me and I'm very happy with the purchase
r/Soundbars • I need some recommendations for Sony soundbar under $1000 to pair with my Sony A90J ->Actually I had same issue to choose soundbar between samsung Q930F and System 6. If you have Music especially Bass lover then go for sony and if you want balance surround and true Atoms sound then go for Samsung Q930F. Few cons in system 6 if you are unaware of this: 1) no wifi and other connectivity 2) no display (although you can operate from app) 3) No upfiring drivers ( very critical) 4) only one HDMI port Few Pros : 1) 1000W capacity. If you are having very big house then system 6 is best 2) low frequency sound is awesome 3) Best for Music 4) if you having sony eco system then will get merge with system very well I choose Samsung Q930F because of true and balanced Dolby atmos sound.
r/Soundbars • 55" Sony Bravia | 200 sq ft (maybe 250 later) — Best soundbar/HT under ₹55k (approx. 600 USD) for movies+ OTT+ rock music+ Taylor Swift? ->Brother please read my comments first, i never say samsung Q930d is best of for Music. I prefer system 6 if only Music is my priority. And as far as ceiling height is concerned you can't generalize same height for all house Pan india. It's actually personal choice as per indian household sizes and for me upfiring drivers are very important for you may not. Hence its going to be subjective. Let OP decides what's he wanted as per his choice and what's his house demand.

I had gone ahead and bought the HT-S60 after taking a demo from the official sony shop. The system 6 serves more than my needs and i'm pretty happy watching movies on it. Already have watched more than 20 movies in the past month after installing the system. Absolutely love it!
r/Soundbars • Soundbar recommendation under -INR 40K/$470 ->I think it's a more reddit hype thing but q990f is a solid choice soundbar. People just say that q990 is better than sony soundbars which personally i don't think so. And even the sony is double price,it should be better,and i think it is. Just tested the sony bravia theatre system 6 which is a low mid range soundbar compared to q930f and the sony just had more bass and it was louder. So i can't imagine how the sony bravia theatre bar 9 will sound against q990f
r/Soundbars • Is the Samsung HW-Q990F/D/C that good or it's just a "Reddit" hype thing? ->I've recently bought the sony bar 8 with sub & rears and regret it massively(for my bedroom) I wish I bought the sonos beam gen2 along with another era100. Despite the shitshow of an app the sound quality is great
r/Soundbars • Best soundbar for bedroom? ->100% I'm voting the Klipsch. Sony just doesn't sound good to me & they're too expensive for the performance in my opinion. & Sonos is just a disaster right now so I can't recommend Sonos to anyone. But the Flexus system is a fantastic system. 2 4" Subwoofers that hit quite well, & it just ROCKS. And the Sub 100 is a mean subwoofer!
r/Soundbars • Best soundbar for me ->Room calibration doesn't make or break sound staging. I can't exactly speak on the A5000 but I can speak on the S2000. To me, all Sony soundbars are underperformers. Yea they might do DSP work better but if it doesn't sound good overall then that's a deal breaker for me. And Sony is delivering systems that are nowhere near my expectations of them. I think they're starting to get better & closer to my expectations with the Bravia bars, but I've only heard a demo before. The S2000 is their "entry level" bar that some reason can apparently get louder than the A3000-5000-& 7000 (according to rTings.com with SPL readings). And I won't lie it does get quite loud, but it definitely does NOT sound good at high volumes without doing a decent amount of EQ tweaking on my phone. Also that SW5 is the biggest joke of a "flagship" subwoofer I've ever seen. I had an old Sony 5.1 AV unit with a single 8" subwoofer and let me tell you, it was so much better than this SW5, Like twice the performance at about the same size. Hell I honestly can't personally even recommend Sony until they release new subwoofers cause these subs are just ass. The Sonos Mini Sub was legitimately half the size, sounded 10x better & honestly can probably get louder too. I had the Sonos Mini Sub literally sitting on top of the SW5 & honestly I think it might be able to sit 2 mini's on top of the SW5. My Klipsch Flexus on the other hand, entirely different animal. Has been one of my absolute favorite systems along with the Q800B & Sonos Arc + Sub Mini as close runner ups. EDM & especially guitars have an incredible richness to them on this Flexus system that the Q800B & Sonos Arc just don't come close to. And if I'm honest I think this bar has an incredible soundstage. I was watching something the other day and something was happening to the left off screen & it was madly impressive how much I actually thought there seemed to be a whole separate speaker actually making the sound instead of the bar. Also choice of a 10" or 12" subwoofer, & choice to run 2 of them if needed. I have a single 10" (Sub 100) and its definitely a subwoofer that really means business.
