ULTIMEA - Poseidon D80 Boom

Having peeped the Ultimea lineup based on the buzz from here, they're merely mid-level cabecillas, that will likely take the place of Vizio now that Walmart's subjugation and annexation of that brand sent them in a death spiral towards oblivion alongside Onn! I would've been satisfied with the typical "black plastic crap" sound of Ultimea & other nobodies had I not been a reporter on a university student newspaper in the early '70s for my fellow scribes introduced me to 🎖️& platinum 👂ed audio as they enthusiastically waxed rhapsodic about McIntosh, Mark Levinson & Nakamichi hardware, I ended up getting hooked on that class of audio!

I have several Ultimea surround and they're great just like my denon 7.1 the only difference is that ultimea is a compact home theater. I guess the only question is will it last long. but me as a music and movie lover ultimea 7.1 atmos D80 is more than enough.

Mine arrived today and I can say I am impressed. It is a huge improvement to my tv speakers. But I also don’t really have any sound system to compare it to. My friend has a soundbar and subwoofer for like 400 euros and I would say that the voices maybe sounded a bit more crisp on his sound system but I think this one is way more immersive.

Ye the sorround speakers could be a tad bit better but I think for 300 euros I can’t complain because the sorround sound is still so immersive

The bass is definitely enough, but I would choose between a slightly inferior sound with the D80 and a better surround effect, or a slightly superior sound with the 700D.

But I can’t say for sure because I don’t have nothing to compare it to

I have it and the only thing is that the sorround speakers are not that great in sound quality but you don’t notice it

You just notice it if you are really close to the speaker

hue I bought cheap ultima posejdon d80 7.1 and I'm suprise how good they sound. voices are clear, base deep but not compare to big one but still enough for small and medium size room. app is brilliant sonos need to learn from ultima how to make a good app that work perfectly. I needed small speaker and I got with big sound and clarity in high volumes. good> atmos is working perfectly fine, done all the test. bad hmm no DTS < Why? no clue even if they have dts:x < something similar to atmos that was in the mind of the creator of that format.

check ultimea. I bought ultimea posejdon d80 7.1 small cheap but crazy good in dound, voice ckarity, ckarity in high volumes. plenty review on YouTube I'm very happy with my unit. or save little more and buy vizio

I bought small soundbar ultimea posejdon d80 and I'm soo freaking impressed with sound quality. I didn't believe in that small system 7.1 but after a lot of reviews I decide to install this small system and I loved. voice is clear even on very loud volume.

my ultimea posejdon d80 is dead. I mean EARC HDMI connection. issue with connection to the subwoofer, issue with very weak volume to the left/right rear speaker. of course I wrote to the support. answer ehh yes, they ask me to write to them what was my old ver of firmware because they don't know anything, they see what I got installed right now. they never think even to leave in microdode or in phone app anything to see all the ver. firmware. I wrote another email to support few hours a go , asking them to send me older firmware, that I can put to the USB stick and do downgrade. if they will not answer in few days, I will change my rewiev from positive to negative. my TV right now I connected to ultimea system by bluethoot and suprise no issue at all but loosing dolby Atmos and who knows what else but my rear sspeakers playing full volume and no issue to connect wireless to the subwoofer.

in general very good results, it's more than average with little eq and they can sound brilliant. I need inform ultimea, I'm back and finally fix my ultimea d80 or I will practically throw w them to the bin, because of their wierd bass behaviour.

got the 7.1 system. looking for replacement asap. Bass isn't bad, but the rest of the sound is AWFUL. it sounds very much like the early smart phones when you try and play music at any volume on speakerphone, and it has no treble, mids, highs, etc.

Amazing value for money. I have the 80D Boom and they are fantastic. New brand but knows what it's doing.

Considering you’re looking for a minimalist solution, I’d recommend the D80 Boom that I’ve been using myself. It’s super easy to set up — no messy receivers or cables — and the sound is good (considering the price, you know). If your UST projector supports Dolby Atmos output, you can really feel the Dolby Atmos difference, trust me.

Most cheap soundbars are just that cheap shit sound. The D80 is decent for cheap

Had the same debate between D70 and D80. Ended up going with the D80, after 5 month using,it's still good! Perfect sound! PS: Ultimea only support Dolby Atmos, Not DTS.Honestly though, for this price range, I'm not mad at it. It does exactly what I need.

Hi, I have two Poseidon sets at home, the D60 5.1 and the D80 Boom 7.1 I am very satisfied with the sound of these soundbars. Well adjusted and also well positioned in your living room, you really have the impression of being at the cinema. Value for money, it's unbeatable.

Hi, my room is more or less the same dimensions, except the ceiling which is 2m50. I recommend either the Poseidon D60 with app (2025) or the Poseidon D80 Boom. Both models were effective in listening. For the price, frankly it's clearly good. And as they say in my country “there is better, but it’s more expensive”. 😉

Hi, I've had the D80 Boom for 4 weeks, so I can give a confirmed review. The sound reproduced is of good quality, the atmospheric effect works very well. The bass is powerful and without distortion, adjustments are possible either by remote control or by application. I use it every day either for classic TV programs or films in Dolby Atmos mode in Bluray or Netflix. At this price, less than 300 euros, I think there is no competition, maybe 200 € more to find the equivalent. I am from France and delivery took 5 days

I have the Poseidon D80 Boom soundbar, and I am extremely satisfied, I think it is very good value for money. The sound is truly fantastic.
