I've been trying out a D80 non-Boom and I'm pretty pleased with the way it sounds. I have quite a number of other issues with it, but those are probably just specific to my setup. I think if you have an audio source that gives it something good to work with, you should find it quite a big difference to a stereo setup, I found much better placement of sounds all around me when I was using mine. I tried it successfully with Plex, Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. and it definitely made a big difference.

All I can tell you was that it felt much more immersive than the stereo setup I was comparing it with. I'm far from an audiophile and not best able to give you a proper analysis, but it sounded good to my ears. Despite it being Dolby Atmos, I don't believe it's really capable of fulfilling the potential of that sound system -- as you say, Atmos is supposed to have full 3d placement including height, and I don't see how the speakers that are supplied with the D80 could possibly have achieved that, there are no up-firing speakers or anything like that. But certainly listening to some of the surround sound demos, I could place sounds around and behind me, which the stereo system could never do at all.

I have several Ultimea surround and they're great just like my denon 7.1 the only difference is that ultimea is a compact home theater. I guess the only question is will it last long. but me as a music and movie lover ultimea 7.1 atmos D80 is more than enough.

my ultimea posejdon d80 is dead. I mean EARC HDMI connection. issue with connection to the subwoofer, issue with very weak volume to the left/right rear speaker. of course I wrote to the support. answer ehh yes, they ask me to write to them what was my old ver of firmware because they don't know anything, they see what I got installed right now. they never think even to leave in microdode or in phone app anything to see all the ver. firmware. I wrote another email to support few hours a go , asking them to send me older firmware, that I can put to the USB stick and do downgrade. if they will not answer in few days, I will change my rewiev from positive to negative. my TV right now I connected to ultimea system by bluethoot and suprise no issue at all but loosing dolby Atmos and who knows what else but my rear sspeakers playing full volume and no issue to connect wireless to the subwoofer.

in general very good results, it's more than average with little eq and they can sound brilliant. I need inform ultimea, I'm back and finally fix my ultimea d80 or I will practically throw w them to the bin, because of their wierd bass behaviour.

I wish I could at least think I was bright, but sadly no… Here’s my story; same size TV as you, and like you wasn’t thrilled with the sound. Tried several sound bars but it felt like they just made everything louder, not better sounding. I finally decided to try a surround sound system, which is something I never thought I would do. I tried one from Ultimea, but it really just whet my appetite for how great my TV could sound. After much research I settled on the Ultimea Posidon D80 Boom. (The Boom is because it has a ton of bass if you desire). In all honesty, with TV’s the size we have, watching especially an action movie like Mission Impossible is really almost like being at the movies. It was a little over $200, but remember. My journey started when I bought a $38 dollar sound bar and wasn’t satisfied. Best of luck with whatever choice you make. Oh, one more thing, one of the biggest reasons I never considered a surround sound system was the size. I guess my thinking was stuck in the 1980’s, because the size and design of my speakers makes them barely noticeable and I put the subwoofer behind the couch

Ah, I remember my first place, those were the days. I really didn’t have many female guests like most guys do. For some reason I can’t do it with a girl unless I know her somewhat, and I need to like her at least as a person. I didn’t tell you the best part of my surround sound adventure. For some reason, I have no idea why, Ultimea sent me two Posidon D80 Boom systems. I’ll probably end up giving the other one to one of my friends, but selling it on eBay is mighty tempting

I payed for the whole amount so I was not given it for free So why did I buy the Ultimea Skywave x70? My first product was the Ultimea Aura A50, I got that soundbar when my Pheanoo D15 subwoofer broke, it was a 2.0 channel and I was looking deep to invest on a good soundbar So initially I found the Aura A50 on Walmart, good price of 110! I bought it and week after I realized they have a 7.1 system which was the Aura A60. So I ended up returning the Aura A50 and then buying the Aura A60 in temu because I had a $45 dollars off coupon I can use on anything (they sell anywhere, Amazon, Walmart, target, etc) with discount code I had from $175 down to $130 Then I started to look at the latest flagship which was the Skywave X70, once early bird started, I bought it with coupon Once I initially bought it, it was to replace my old denon reciver with defenitive speakers, which are very good still but it was crackling and the sub on the left tower was broken. Once I hooked up my Skywave X70, I was just expecting "its probably not a huge diffrence" Of the soundbar But man I was wrong! It blew my expectations away!! It's very good overall!! The surround experience was amazing, i play alot of Helldivers 2 and man the experience is amazing!! I can tell you too, the bass on this thing is very strong, it even broke a lighthouse decoration I put on christmas, the bass pushed it off the shelf, which I had to fix with Glue, it really rattles the walls!!! Compared to Samsung 11.1.4, thats very huge in terms of early bird price, it costed half of $1,000!!! I can't say it's better than the samsung 11.1.4 because I perosnally never tried it, but the experience with Ultimea and thier skywave X70, it's by far the best man, i love it So I took the risk of buying from another company, and I must say, 2 months in, I have no regrets. Eventually I bought the posideon D80 Boom for a movie room we have and it's amazing quality of diffrence compared to the TCL Alto 8+ 3.1.2 i had. I would take 7.1 over 3.1.2 any day, just to have true surround. So overall, taking the risk of buying from ultimea was a good decision. Basically in other words I took one for the team to see the truth

Had the same debate between D70 and D80. Ended up going with the D80, after 5 month using,it's still good! Perfect sound! PS: Ultimea only support Dolby Atmos, Not DTS.Honestly though, for this price range, I'm not mad at it. It does exactly what I need.
