ULTIMEA - Poseidon M60 Boom

I ordered it to try it out. I was reading that a lot of streaming content is naturally in 5.1 so its easier to 1:1 the source audio at least. I'm just surprised the s75qr I have isn't clear or balanced enough. Everything seems weak/quiet unless it's a rumble or music.

This certainly was a night and day difference for clarity and balance. I might end up unplugging the sub since there is no real subwoofer control and I think lowering the bass is thinning out the sound on the other speakers. My other issue is that the LG remote is not working with the soundbar to adjust volume. Outside of that, this thing is seriously impressive for the price and has, at least from initial testing, solved the volume and vocal issues. Thank you so much for your recommendation! I doubt I will ever have this over 30 volume if even that.

Weird quirk about the C4 I suppose. I had to unplug the TV, remove all hdmi inputs except the soundbar, then turn on the TV. It saw the input as Poseidon M60, and I changed it to earc for audio then everything worked. Plugged in the other inputs.

Check on ULTIMEA soundbars. I have the M60 Poseidon and am extremely impressed. The D60 includes rear speakers and is under $200. I think these are incredible values. I’m coming from Samsung Q900 and Vizio SB3621.

Having peeped the Ultimea lineup based on the buzz from here, they're merely mid-level cabecillas, that will likely take the place of Vizio now that Walmart's subjugation and annexation of that brand sent them in a death spiral towards oblivion alongside Onn! I would've been satisfied with the typical "black plastic crap" sound of Ultimea & other nobodies had I not been a reporter on a university student newspaper in the early '70s for my fellow scribes introduced me to 🎖️& platinum 👂ed audio as they enthusiastically waxed rhapsodic about McIntosh, Mark Levinson & Nakamichi hardware, I ended up getting hooked on that class of audio!

I second this… much louder and clearer than I thought it would be. It’s not the same as my 7.2 system but for the bedroom it’s nice.

Idk ultimea for 5.1 worked great for 100€ without any additional receiver, cabling etc. Supports decoding Dolby Atmos and eARC. That's 100€ (constantly on sale) to instantly upgrade any TV to greater sound. They are miles better than those single bar sound bars with in-bar "subwoofer". Their stuff is definitely cheap. The wall plugs have electrical humming and the rear speakers have a slight deep hissing sound. But that thing sounds much better than equally cheap Soundbars.

I think its better because most bars have just the 2 speakers or 3.. so they have to simulate the 5 - t.. but with 5 speakers each channel has its own speaker so you get better sound and clarity? It also keeps it cheaper by not having extra speakers? im no expert for sure lol.. I just know that when I was watching with headphones I immediately heard the difference. Ive had it for like a month now and its like night and day. We actually turned off the closed captioning because we can hear them talking again! lol

My tcl controls it fine with hdmi earc.. odd.. . But I’m glad you like it. I had my bass on the floor and since have moved it to a shelf under the tv and it helped to lower the bass some but unplugging is probably easier lol.

honestly.. look at the Ultimea line.. i wanted budget and got the Poseidon M60 and for the $100 its really good. BUt thats like their low end model... you can get a lot more for less with them. Look up some reviews.

(I got the Poseidon M60 because I wanted full 5.1 and its amazing.. but has the sub. There are cheaper ones with great voice clarity in the vid)

ULTIMEA Poseidon m60. It’s great.. especially for the price. 5.1 .. actually has 5 speakers. Voices are clear. Sub is great I’m using it with a TCL Qm6K earc.

I can't comment on the D60, but I've had a M60 for about a month ago. It is definitely a "budget" setup but I was actually pleasantly surprised. After a lightning strike took out an old Sony soundbar hooked up to a budget Insignia Fire TV that my kids use for streaming and Nintendo Switch, I decided to try the M60. You definitely can't compare it to a high end system but, for its price, it was very easy to set up and sounds pretty good. Because or our living room and play room setups, I'm not keen on separate speakers (front or surround). It seems like one more maintenance issue (charging). Whether it is 3.1, 3.1.2, 5.1, or 5.1.2, I prefer the single bar + subwoofer (wired for the Ultimea...so you need to consider that too) format. My only issue with budget soundbars like the Ultimea is that they are Dolby only. No DTS:X. DTS content still plays...I can't remember what format it is converted to though.

I've tried 3 ultima systems in the past 8 or so months. A 5.1 a 7.1 and a 7.1.4. all 3 of them had really bad surround speaker volume. The best was the 7.1.4 but that's probably from the extra 2 upfiring channels in the back. The 5.1 and 7.1 both had an amazing subwoofer and bass as well as a great sound bar but before I returned them via Amazon the last 10 days of testing both systems I didn't even bother to turn on the surround speakers they were borderline useless.

I just bought the Ultimea Poseidon M60 Boom and honestly, I'm blown away! This is a game-changer for me, especially when I want to watch something late at night without disturbing others in the house. ​For anyone looking for a powerful soundbar that delivers a fantastic 'sweet spot' and truly clean audio, ultimea seem like a fantastic choice for the price point.
