I had a Sony bar 6. It's just ok. It's a stereo upgrade to TV speakers. Got zero height out of the upfiring speakers. Send it back and bought an Ultimea Skywave x60. Sooo glad I did.
That may not have live support, but if you state an issue you are having in their forums, they will try to help you out there. Me and some other users were getting a problem where when you turned the system on, skywave x60, it would be at full volume. They put out a firmware update a week later and it was fixed.

Sounds way better than my Sony theater bar 6. And the Sony theater system 6. You couldn't even tell those had upfiring speakers. On the Skywave x60 you definitely can
They're just whiny ass people that like to hate on shit That's inexpensive and and performed as well as higher price stuff. Don't know why. But apparently I'm a schill too because I liked my Skywave x60 a lot.
Other companies pay for reviews too. It's not just Ultimea. It's just the people who actually bought the Skywave x60 or x70 really seem to like them. And people still seem to hate on them for some reason because they paid $1,000 and we paid half and we get the sound that's almost as good. Because the Dolby Atmos is pretty damn convincing. Nowhere near as good as a dedicated Dolby Atmos setup, but it's pretty damn good. Especially for $550. That's what I got mine for
Get the skywave x60 I just got it and upgraded from the Poseidon d60. Huge upgrade and well worth the price difference. Buy once cry once.
Looking good! Ummm, still more room for a larger tv! HAHA! I just got my Ultimea Skywave X70 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos dual up firing front & rear speakers w/10" Sub down to 20hz. Very happy with how it performs!
With the up firing front & rear speakers, The Skywave is really cool. I have the Skywave X60 which is the baby brother up on Ebay brand new untouched if anybody is interested for a nice price. 700 on Am... only 500 buy it now. The X60 is an 8" subwoofer instead of a 10" but still goes down to 28hz. Slightly less wattage, but everything else is all the same. It truly is a high end system at more budget pricing. It has Xupmix which will upgrade stereo & 5.1 for Atmos sound. These are a beast. [https://www.ebay.com/itm/277465478895](https://www.ebay.com/itm/277465478895)
I've tried 3 ultima systems in the past 8 or so months. A 5.1 a 7.1 and a 7.1.4. all 3 of them had really bad surround speaker volume. The best was the 7.1.4 but that's probably from the extra 2 upfiring channels in the back. The 5.1 and 7.1 both had an amazing subwoofer and bass as well as a great sound bar but before I returned them via Amazon the last 10 days of testing both systems I didn't even bother to turn on the surround speakers they were borderline useless.
Ultimea for me. Bought last year D80 boom. But if you prefer with height up firing Speakers get the sky wave x series. Besides affordability without breaking a bank but standard Dolby Atmos speakers is my preference for now. But if you have extra budget. Get the bar 800mk2 or 1000 of JBL. With regards to your preferred brand against LG, Sony theater 6 is better but extra functionality of Sony features will require Sony TV. Nevertheless its all good. Check also Polk magnifi series.

got the 7.1 system. looking for replacement asap. Bass isn't bad, but the rest of the sound is AWFUL. it sounds very much like the early smart phones when you try and play music at any volume on speakerphone, and it has no treble, mids, highs, etc.
Having peeped the Ultimea lineup based on the buzz from here, they're merely mid-level cabecillas, that will likely take the place of Vizio now that Walmart's subjugation and annexation of that brand sent them in a death spiral towards oblivion alongside Onn! I would've been satisfied with the typical "black plastic crap" sound of Ultimea & other nobodies had I not been a reporter on a university student newspaper in the early '70s for my fellow scribes introduced me to 🎖️& platinum 👂ed audio as they enthusiastically waxed rhapsodic about McIntosh, Mark Levinson & Nakamichi hardware, I ended up getting hooked on that class of audio!
Ultimea is the best value soundbar. I got an Apollo S40 on the Facebook Marketplace for $20, and it's more than adequate for a great 2.1 channel set-up. It has 2 tweeters and two woofers per channel and a subwoofer-out port. You can also buy refurbished models from their official Temu store named 'Ultimea Refurbished' to save 40 to 60%. Although for a PC in particular you should probably look for a PC-specific soundbar and surround system from someone like Logitech. There are lots of them on Facebook for less than $55.
