I would look at the Yamaha SR-C20APowered sound bar with built-in subwoofer and Bluetooth. It's high quality and low cost. I have had mine for a couple of years, and I love it.

Sony HT-S2000 was on sale in my country by Sony Malaysia for just under $220 (RM846 after stacking with voucher, official store thru online shopping platform) recently and I got one for my parents’ 2017 Sony Bravia K series TV, sound is good and not harsh, plenty of bass yet vocal clarity is good, thanks to its center channel speaker. Overall I am pretty happy with it. I wanted to get it since two years ago but price back then was still too high for me (RM1500+), so I got a Yamaha SR-C20a as a temporay solution (bought at RM838) and waited until recently which I got the Sony, not a big upgrade but the deal was too good to resist. If you can get HT-S2000 for under $300 it is a no-brainer choice, or else budget option like Yamaha SR-C20A or even B20A is very appealing at discounted price, they are wrapped in fabric and will need more frequent dust cleaning though, so you may consider something else if that bothers you.

The Yamaha SR-C20A only has front facing speakers and would fit in ops cabinet. In stereo mode would work, not sound great but also its a cheap bar and cheap solution.

Look for the Yamaha SRC20A. Okay-ish sound for a compact, budget soundbar with no subwoofer. Beats any small TV speakers for sure.

I just got a Yamaha SR-C20A for my upstairs tv. Not sure if those are under $100 on sale but it is exceptional for the price
