Uplift is usually seen as the golden standard. Very stable and seem to have good quality parts and good customer service. They "include" (built into the price) a lot of gifts (gimmicks) like a foot hammock, t shirt, etc into their purchase, which actually convinced me to keep shopping.
Flexispot is often posted because they run permanent sales and give people discounts/cash back for posting reviews. Their design/quality doesn't seem too good.
Deskhaus has good reviews and seems to be slightly better quality-wise than Uplift, though they aren't as big of a company. Their customer service also seems less polished, but still good (again, small company). I wanted a 4-leg frame and they were significantly cheaper for the Peak Pro ($725) than Uplift ($919) for just the frame, so I went with them.
Uplift will probably be fine whether you want a 2 leg or 4 leg. If you want to save some money, getting a deskhaus frame and a top from Home Depot, Lowes, etc will probably end up being cheaper and a better overall desk.
At sitting height, pretty much any half-decent standing desk will be stable.
If you're 5'4", 2 leg desks from a good company should still be stable at standing height.
If you're 6'4", 2 leg desks will probably be unstable at standing height. I have a 4 leg desk and it's perfectly stable even at maximum height. I have to intentionally push it to see any monitor wobble. During normal use, there's nothing.
Slightly over your budget, but look at the Deskhaus Peak Pro. You can get it with a free rubberwood top.

Yeah, most likely. They still had the banner up advertising the code when I ordered, but it didn't work. Luckily I found a different code that saved me $50, so I still feel like I got a good deal.
I just set up the deskhaus peak pro (it has four legs) and it has no discernible wobble at any height, though for some reason my monitor would pick up a little motion and I put a foam block under it on the side (like a second little "stand") and it's TOTALLY solid. I'm 6'1" so was told I needed a four leg model. But at like $800 it's not cheap.
I'm 6'1" have the peak pro and it's solid. My monitor sits on it on a stand in its center, I did put a block under one end of it because it moved a TINY BIT (that fixed it), but yeah, I feel like I'm pretty sensitive to movement and it's solid.
Our Peak series has wedges for lateral stability. I should have mentioned the Apex Pro Max too but thats almost double the price so unless you want a rock....it's hard to justify.

Okay, I'm just gonna tell ya then....The wedge makes it more stable...period.
But where it's more stable, I'd be willing to say, 80% of the people using are not going to experience it.
Being manufactured stateside is the sole reason it's more money.
Get the Peak Pro and rest easy.
I went with Deskhaus peak pro. Longer warranty and they've always been pretty responsive for me. I asked questions a few times on their help desk chat during closed hours and they've always responded first thing in the morning. And even continuing my questions after their first chat response, they responded immediately.
I'd been considering getting a frame from Deskhaus since way back in 2021 when they were still selling the Vertex frames but never bit until now. Back then when I called, Chris had picked up immediately and he was genuinely really helpful answering all the questions I had. Didn't try to sell me on anything and they seem to really care about getting you a quality product (both frame and desk top) even if it's shipped across the country. Not just a business transaction. I ultimately didn't buy the Vertex frame back in 2021 and just stuck it out with my crappy IKEA desk until this year where I couldn't stand it anymore and bought the peak pro. I had almost bit on the Apex pro a year or 2 ago when they had a deal on it but hesitated and it sold out and I was kicking myself for it.
But yeah the peak pro has been rock solid for me and it's quieter (when raising and lowering) and much more stable than standing desks I've used at work
Peak Pro. Desk Haus is an American company that stands by their products. I have 3 desks from Desk Haus. First two were flawless. 3rd desk 1 motor connector got damaged in shipping and they sent replacement no questions asked. Great company.
FlexiSpot is a nightmare. Just read some posts about warranty.
FlexiSpot has “sales” to entice people, but they cut corners. Desk Haus price is comparable with no sales and great quality because of low overhead.
I’m 6ft and I have zero wobble. I have their Apex and Vertex desks. Both are rock solid. On Vertex I have a big ultrawide mounted and studio monitors.
Peak has even better lateral (side to side) stability because of the wedge design on columns. Front to back, absolutely zero movement. Side to side, you have to really go out of hour way to push on it.
I don’t trust FlexiSpot. They did their own comparison video and labeled a Desk Haus desk as their own. I’ve also heard their support is a bit of a nightmare. They have a forever sale to make you think you are getting a deal, but you are not. They use thinner gauge steel than Desk Haus. There is a big weight difference. I want to say their foot is 3lbs and Desk Haus is 9lbs. Might be remembering wrong, but I know it was a big diff.
Chris the owner of Desk Haus does video comparisons, and FlexiSpot falls short. Chris is obsessed with quality and not cutting corners - it’s the reason he started Desk Haus. He has really pushed competitors to do better. He’s done follow-up comparisons of competitor desks and given them props for improving. I believe Uplift was one of the most recent ones.
Because Desk Haus is a small American business that doesn’t ship oversees, Chris has been known to make recommendations of competitor desks available in Europe, for example. He is super knowledgeable, and knows who cheaps out and who doesn’t.
All the above, many reasons why they come so highly recommended. I have 3 from them. My Vertex has an 80x36 heavy walnut top. I got an Apex with a 60x30 butcher block I bought from floor and decor. And I got one for my wife, 60x30 HPL (high pressure laminate). My brother has one as well.
Something to keep in mind is they do have 2 leg desks to be competitive, but their main product is their 4 leg. No matter how good their 2 leg desks is, a 2 desk will have some movement and they are very upfront about that.
Desk Haus by a mile. With a high budget and the concerns you have, I would talk to them about your needs. Maybe go Bespoke. The owner Chris is amazing. US based, small business. Doesn't cut corners.
Their standard 4 leg options are rock solid, less than $1300 on Apex with HPL. Peak is less because frame/steel is import. Apex frame is made in Michigan.
I have 3 desks from them. My solid walnut 80x36 with Vertex frame cost me just over $3k with Bosch motors. My other two are Apex.
Apex motors are better, metal internals vs Bosch has some plastic. Vertex frame is fixed length and beefier though. They don't sell Vertex on site anymore. Apex/Peak is adjustable width and are still very good. Minor lateral movement (side to side) between Apex vs Peak/Vertex (better). You really have to push. Front to back, zero movement.
Avoid 2 leg options. Desk Haus has 2 leg options and they are good, but they don't recommend them. They carry 2 leg to be competitive. They highly recommend 4 leg over 2.
