I’m 6ft and I have zero wobble. I have their Apex and Vertex desks. Both are rock solid. On Vertex I have a big ultrawide mounted and studio monitors. Peak has even better lateral (side to side) stability because of the wedge design on columns. Front to back, absolutely zero movement. Side to side, you have to really go out of hour way to push on it. I don’t trust FlexiSpot. They did their own comparison video and labeled a Desk Haus desk as their own. I’ve also heard their support is a bit of a nightmare. They have a forever sale to make you think you are getting a deal, but you are not. They use thinner gauge steel than Desk Haus. There is a big weight difference. I want to say their foot is 3lbs and Desk Haus is 9lbs. Might be remembering wrong, but I know it was a big diff. Chris the owner of Desk Haus does video comparisons, and FlexiSpot falls short. Chris is obsessed with quality and not cutting corners - it’s the reason he started Desk Haus. He has really pushed competitors to do better. He’s done follow-up comparisons of competitor desks and given them props for improving. I believe Uplift was one of the most recent ones. Because Desk Haus is a small American business that doesn’t ship oversees, Chris has been known to make recommendations of competitor desks available in Europe, for example. He is super knowledgeable, and knows who cheaps out and who doesn’t. All the above, many reasons why they come so highly recommended. I have 3 from them. My Vertex has an 80x36 heavy walnut top. I got an Apex with a 60x30 butcher block I bought from floor and decor. And I got one for my wife, 60x30 HPL (high pressure laminate). My brother has one as well. Something to keep in mind is they do have 2 leg desks to be competitive, but their main product is their 4 leg. No matter how good their 2 leg desks is, a 2 desk will have some movement and they are very upfront about that.
I'm 5'8 and I use a standing desk at work (2 legged, some Herman Miller model think), and a desk at home (4 legged, deskhaus). I typically keep the height around the 40"-44" height. I think it's important to know your personal habits and what you'd be using the desk for. For most computing and office tasks on the 2 legged, it's great, no wobble. Typing, writing, placing multiple laptop/small objects, lightly placing elbows on top. However, I have seen annoying cases with the 2 legged that don't happen with my 4 legged at home that come from my habits. I tend to lean very often into my desk as I'm thinking, and depending how hard and suddenly I lean, it can shake the desk very noticeably. And i tend to have the habit of sometimes heavily leaning on my elbows at times, which causes a bit of wobble. Also, as I'm leaning into the desk, I have the habit of shaking/bouncing my leg which causes the tabletop to shake quite a bit. I haven't tried suddenly placing anything heavy on top though, like I usually do at home (I use it for everything). These are just personal issues, since I'm the type of guy who likes to move and lean a lot (and abuse my desk). Quite honestly, a 2 legged probably would've served me just as fine for home office use, and if you don't exhibit my habits often, I would def save money. I just got a 4 legged just to future proof any abuse I give it :)
I would buy Deskhaus. I have mine and is super stable and does its job. When I had an issue (day 1, bad part), it was resolved via overnight shipping.
Deskhaus. Period.
DeskHaus, and cut/finish your own desktop from a butcher block. You can make it the perfect size for you, finish it how you like, and get a desk that will last forever, even if the base gives out after 10 years.
So in this case desks that are more expensive (even if not by much) and have less advertising would do poorly in your ranking but might be compared more (those who upgrade to them from cheaper desks) My deskhaus is very very solid so I very much like it and when I see reviews of others that are liked that have wobble while mine doesn't I still feel like my deskhaus is better
as someone who just did this same calculus (though on about half your budget) i'll say the stability is overrated for a lot of people. like who is truly leaning on their desk that hard? though with an 80x30, it might come into play more than the average soul. that said, I did ultimately go with deskhaus. they had a good deal going with a free top at the time i ordered, i appreciated the company's transparency about their products, parts, and the longer warranty. plus i like a little guy. uplift and flexispot have many product lines, and operate on a more mass-market scale, which is both good and bad. deskhaus makes and maintains one thing, which is desks. budget doesn't seem to be a big issue for you, so for the same amount of money you'd end up with a slightly more stable desk with a longer warranty. but if you don't live in the US (shipping), or want a package deal with lots of compatible accessories (the good part of bigger operations), no reason not to go with this one!
Deskhaus is the best quality and much better than the brands you mentioned.
