The P1 Elite looks a lot like my Deskhaus Vertex Pro extended height (23-48”), mind contrasting the two? I think Deskhaus only offers the Vertex as a custom order now, so it’s good to see something similar on the market again.
I’m 6ft and I have zero wobble. I have their Apex and Vertex desks. Both are rock solid. On Vertex I have a big ultrawide mounted and studio monitors. Peak has even better lateral (side to side) stability because of the wedge design on columns. Front to back, absolutely zero movement. Side to side, you have to really go out of hour way to push on it. I don’t trust FlexiSpot. They did their own comparison video and labeled a Desk Haus desk as their own. I’ve also heard their support is a bit of a nightmare. They have a forever sale to make you think you are getting a deal, but you are not. They use thinner gauge steel than Desk Haus. There is a big weight difference. I want to say their foot is 3lbs and Desk Haus is 9lbs. Might be remembering wrong, but I know it was a big diff. Chris the owner of Desk Haus does video comparisons, and FlexiSpot falls short. Chris is obsessed with quality and not cutting corners - it’s the reason he started Desk Haus. He has really pushed competitors to do better. He’s done follow-up comparisons of competitor desks and given them props for improving. I believe Uplift was one of the most recent ones. Because Desk Haus is a small American business that doesn’t ship oversees, Chris has been known to make recommendations of competitor desks available in Europe, for example. He is super knowledgeable, and knows who cheaps out and who doesn’t. All the above, many reasons why they come so highly recommended. I have 3 from them. My Vertex has an 80x36 heavy walnut top. I got an Apex with a 60x30 butcher block I bought from floor and decor. And I got one for my wife, 60x30 HPL (high pressure laminate). My brother has one as well. Something to keep in mind is they do have 2 leg desks to be competitive, but their main product is their 4 leg. No matter how good their 2 leg desks is, a 2 desk will have some movement and they are very upfront about that.
Desk Haus by a mile. With a high budget and the concerns you have, I would talk to them about your needs. Maybe go Bespoke. The owner Chris is amazing. US based, small business. Doesn't cut corners. Their standard 4 leg options are rock solid, less than $1300 on Apex with HPL. Peak is less because frame/steel is import. Apex frame is made in Michigan. I have 3 desks from them. My solid walnut 80x36 with Vertex frame cost me just over $3k with Bosch motors. My other two are Apex. Apex motors are better, metal internals vs Bosch has some plastic. Vertex frame is fixed length and beefier though. They don't sell Vertex on site anymore. Apex/Peak is adjustable width and are still very good. Minor lateral movement (side to side) between Apex vs Peak/Vertex (better). You really have to push. Front to back, zero movement. Avoid 2 leg options. Desk Haus has 2 leg options and they are good, but they don't recommend them. They carry 2 leg to be competitive. They highly recommend 4 leg over 2.
Depends on what you’re willing to spend. That said: weigh out or at-least approximate the weight of everything on your desk. If a 2 leg one can support it, save money and go that route. If it weighs more go 4 leg. 4 legs have more stability, but it’s really not a big deal unless your standing all the time and/or leaning on it and whatnot. I bought the DeskHaus 4 legs cause I wanted future proofing Incase I do some unexpected shit later, also because they had the only frame to fit my 96” x 36” desk. Anyway I’m sure others will have their opinions as well. Of the three you mentioned, Uplift is the only one I’m well familiar with. I almost went with them myself. Good company with good options. Just depends what you are looking for and what your budget is.
I'm 5'8 and I use a standing desk at work (2 legged, some Herman Miller model think), and a desk at home (4 legged, deskhaus). I typically keep the height around the 40"-44" height. I think it's important to know your personal habits and what you'd be using the desk for. For most computing and office tasks on the 2 legged, it's great, no wobble. Typing, writing, placing multiple laptop/small objects, lightly placing elbows on top. However, I have seen annoying cases with the 2 legged that don't happen with my 4 legged at home that come from my habits. I tend to lean very often into my desk as I'm thinking, and depending how hard and suddenly I lean, it can shake the desk very noticeably. And i tend to have the habit of sometimes heavily leaning on my elbows at times, which causes a bit of wobble. Also, as I'm leaning into the desk, I have the habit of shaking/bouncing my leg which causes the tabletop to shake quite a bit. I haven't tried suddenly placing anything heavy on top though, like I usually do at home (I use it for everything). These are just personal issues, since I'm the type of guy who likes to move and lean a lot (and abuse my desk). Quite honestly, a 2 legged probably would've served me just as fine for home office use, and if you don't exhibit my habits often, I would def save money. I just got a 4 legged just to future proof any abuse I give it :)
I would buy Deskhaus. I have mine and is super stable and does its job. When I had an issue (day 1, bad part), it was resolved via overnight shipping.
Deskhaus. Period.
