I'm on my second Desky, the first one went to wifey when she got to work from home, I upgraded to an L shaped one, never had an issue. I work from home 99% of the time and use the sit/stand daily, 3 years with L shaped desk, 4+ years for the original and work same as the day they arrived. Their customer service was fantastic, the first desktop arrived damaged, I sent a photo, and they sent out a new top without fuss. I tried to return the damaged top and they said keep it, give it away or they'd pay for it to be taken away... I donated it to a friend.
What's your budget for this? Whatever you do though, make sure not to get a cheap one because this is an L-shaped standing desk we’re talking about. The cheaper ones usually have wobble issues or the third leg feels tacked on. If you want the entire L to raise and lower, you need a 3-motor system. So if you have about $1k or more, you can get the Desky L-Shape with triple motors. Handles around 440 lbs, and I think that can be pretty stable if you have a lot of monitors and a PC. If your budget is tight though, you can get a regular L-desk and throw a platform riser on one side. Only one section adjusts, but it’s way cheaper.
\- Desky Here, Both Desks are stable and have minimal wobble, Both Desks are Good quality with reasonable warranty periods. Either Desk would be good for your needs. Where Desky has an edge i believe, is two fold. The Variety of Desktops that we offer and the quality of them. We have a huge range to choose from, but if you aren't particular and just want a plain white melamine desktop, we can do that. Our Melamine range is strong and hard wearing, and solid core, so not flimsy like you may find with other suppliers The other advantage i believe we have is our cable management system. Its clean, and does its job amazingly well at hiding cables out of the way and being accessible when you need it. If you have any questions, please feel free to DM me, we can also get you a discount code for your first purchase of a sit stand desk \- Team Desky
Trash. Standing desks from Amazon lie about their weight capacity, features and quality. Not worth it. Check out Desky, EffyDesk, Vernal, Flexispot, Autonomous, Flipdesk, Uplift. They all have sales at times. If you don’t wanna spend $800+ on a great standing desk then buy the motor from these brands I mentioned and get a wood tabletop from ikea. My top two in terms of quality are Desky, Vernal and Uplift but they’re also he most pricey. Also checkout Source Furnishings they’re a wholesaler in Canada. I got the 30 x 60 executive standing desk. It’s amazing.
Not really. I’m speaking from experience because I sell products on Amazon myself through Facebook, and I have dozens of different products listed there. I used to sell our central daily, so if you make an unverified claim or lie about your listing, the worst that can happen is your listing will be taken down. You probably won’t get sued for it. Another thing to realize is that many consumers won’t even test that weight capacity. The average consumer isn’t overly concerned about specific details, but they do sometimes lie about them. I’m not saying that 100% of listings are dishonest about claims such as weight capacity or standing system, but Amazon does care a lot about edible products and the claims made for them. For example, I sell supplements, and if I lie about them, it’s a serious issue because they’re edible products and could affect someone physically. Amazon has stricter standards for edible items. Regarding standing desks, again, it might not exactly be 270 pounds if they claim that, and the quality might not be perfect. If you want a standing desk, go for the companies I mentioned or check out the wholesaler I mentioned, they’re based in Canada. These companies offer great warranties, easy assembly, and there are many reviews on YouTube and Reddit. That’s why I trust them more than buying a standing desk from Amazon. If you don’t want to spend too much, the IKEA one is your best option. Honestly, it looks very nice, has good quality, and will get the job done.
Lol. This is a dumb comment. Any standing desk below $400 is usually not great quality and wobbles heavily. The ones on Amazon for $150 are complete plastic and the motor isn’t as strong and quiet. They’re very cheap quality. With standing desks generally the more you pay the better, but the material matters a lot. Anywhere between $500-800 is a good range, and $800-1500 is the ultimate range usually solid wood and thicker than 1inch, from reputable brands and they have the best motors, weight capacity and warranties. I suggest Desky, Autonomous, Vari, Vernal, Uplift and EffyDesk. Uplift and Desky are the best since they have the most options and customizations and they have the best customer service and warranties.
Tbh any standing desk that’s from a reputable brand won’t wobble at sitting height but almost all do at standing height. The only ones that don’t wobble are 4 legged standing desks and uplift makes them. They’re pricier but they are super strong and have a crazy weight capacity. Uplift has the most customizable desk as well but they’re a US based brand and might have duties if you live outside the US. Desky is the most popular standing desk brand and I’ve bought a lot things from them. They have great customer service and fast shipping. If price isn’t an issue go for Uplift or even Oakywood since that can be customized too and Oakywood makes the best wood products and desktop. Whatever you do don’t get MDF desks since it’s basically particle/chip board material. It’ll be difficult to screw accessories to them. Go for solid wood, it’s pricier but more durable and you need at least a 1 inch thick desk but I recommend 1.5 inches.
Yeah no wobble at sitting height but at standing height it might wobble but against it’s not that bad just a lil wobble…Desky also has a lot of great accessories for their desks you can build a whole setup with it.
I got a Desky and it's awesome
It's not silent but it's not loud. A nice whirr
I use Desky, they’re a solid desk with no wobble issues. They can hold A LOT of weight and rises pretty high. I recommend getting their cable management system with a good amount of outlets, I got their 9 outlet one and I’m loving it.
I use desky and the minimum height is 23.6”, and it goes pretty high up too, 49.2”
