I bought a Flexispot E7 Plus (four legs) and it does not move at all, whether at sitting (26.0 in) or standing (41 in). I have two laptops, speakers, a heavy-duty monitor arm and accessories on the desk.
I think that’s too expensive in my opinion. I mean you get what you pay for so I’m pretty sure it’s good but I ended up going with the cheaper flex spot E7+ The downside with that Desk though is that you do have to drill your own holes into the table top. It came with pre-drilled holes and all of them were in the wrong locations… But, after dealing with drilling your own holes, it’s a good sturdy desk with almost no wobble whatsoever
Just wanted to share my thoughts on the Flexispot E7 Plus frame after upgrading from a series of budget desks. This is my first “good” desk setup, and I couldn’t be happier. **What I got:** * Only bought the **E7 Plus frame** * Paired it with a **solid maple 72”x30” top from Uline** * Total cost: **CA$570 (\~US$414) for the frame**, **CA$490 (\~US$356) for the top** **Assembly experience:** * As a **6’ tall, 180lb guy**, I **assembled the whole thing solo**. Took effort, especially with the heavy legs, but mostly doable. * Packaging was great, **super tight and protective** * Instructions were **pretty clear** * Didn’t need to pre drill anything, just used an **impact driver** to screw into the wood top directly * Legs were **really heavy and solid**, but that gave me confidence it could easily hold the weight of the thick top **Performance:** * **Stability is amazing**, those 4 legs make a hugggeeee difference * The **height range is way better than expected**. My **short wife can use the lowest setting comfortably**, and the **highest point is more than enough** for me at 6’ * It’s **smooth and quiet** when adjusting * And yes… I totally laid down on it and rode it up like all the YouTubers 😄 **Final thoughts:** * This desk **feels premium**, and I’m seriously impressed * Would **absolutely recommend** the E7 Plus frame to anyone looking for a quality standing desk base * 10/10 – **I’m loving it**
E7 Plus is the most stable model since it has 4 legs. That's the better option.
I’ve personally had my desk for just under a year now. E7 Plus (UK) and haven’t had a issue with it other than the USB A chip not working on the control panel but got refunded for it since I didn’t need it to work so they offered to send out a new one or refund. It’s been perfect since day 1. It took a while for me to set it up due to lack of available tools but I did it. Best purchase other than a chair for my WFH set up. Only options I’d go for were Flexispot, DeskHaus and Uplift but Flexispot had the best options for UK delivery (Apex Pro is a beauty!!) I think DH owner hit the nail on the head that it is a money grab for a badge but doesn’t truly define quality. Sure there is people out there with issues (and raise them as they should) but these 3 are the best out there for what they do. My personal experience couldn’t fault Flexispot who send out hundreds a month (or more). I’ve debated on getting a second standing desk for my misses who doesn’t like to sit at her desk and likes being able to stand at mine. Don’t witch-hunt over a badge, provide the feedback to them and let them decide. This gives a sour taste constantly posting to Reddit the same thing.
Oh and to add, the stability is fantastic, I just have cheap monitor arms but even those wobble minimally at 110 height (unless I properly push/pull the table)
I copied this from another post but I figured I would use it here as well: I'm going to give you my whole set up. I purchased just the frame and then I purchased an unfinished top. This set up will not have any wobble the frame is a little pricey but it is 4 legs and it holds up to 540 lbs. \- Frame Flexispot E7 Plus ([https://www.flexispot.com/flexispot-4-leg-standing-desk-e7plus](https://www.flexispot.com/flexispot-4-leg-standing-desk-e7plus)) don't forget the 10% off discount code Coupon ID: PKAW10 (500 - 50 = $450) \- Unfinished Hevea Wood 72x30 - [https://www.wayfair.com/storage-organization/pdp/loon-peak-kirren-unfinished-hevea-solid-wood-butcher-block-countertop-for-diy-kitchen-countertop-desk-top-workbench-hwiz1027.html](https://www.wayfair.com/storage-organization/pdp/loon-peak-kirren-unfinished-hevea-solid-wood-butcher-block-countertop-for-diy-kitchen-countertop-desk-top-workbench-hwiz1027.html) ($250) I'm going to finish the top with Osmo [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09JHNZP5G](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09JHNZP5G) so the color will stay the same and not amber. \- Grommet Ports - [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQV788PQ](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQV788PQ) ($45) \- Under Desk Surge Protector - [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CQ2L5SSZ?th=1](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CQ2L5SSZ?th=1) ($25) \- Under Desk Keyboard - [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DVF9LHRV](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DVF9LHRV) ($90) \- Cable Management - [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08N1JTGC6](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08N1JTGC6) ($35) \- Rolling Casters so if I have to move the desk it's easy and not a massive pain - [https://www.flexispot.com/standing-desk-casters-w1?value=w1](https://www.flexispot.com/standing-desk-casters-w1?value=w1) ($35) All in $930. I know it is a little pricey but I spend a massive amount of time at my desk. Biggest issue IMO is not to skimp on the frame. You can skimp on the other stuff. I went with a bigger desktop so it was more expensive. You don't need the casters but they are nice, You don't need the Grommet Ports either but they are nice as well. Under Desk keyboard was a requirement for how I work and same with the under desk surge protector and the cable management. I did a bunch of research on frames and I really feel like the Flexispot E7 Plus is hard to beat for the price
Frame Flexispot E7 Plus is the way to go IMO. Holds about 550 lbs and with 4 legs doesn't move at all
I have an E7 and an E7+ in two different offices, both with two monitors on arms. You can definitely tell the + is more stable at the top, but the E7 never bothers me at all
Agreed. In my experience you’ll want a 4-leg desk if you’re putting a 3d printer on it. A two motor option like [Flexispot’s E7+](https://www.flexispot.com/flexispot-4-leg-standing-desk-e7plus) or [our Elite desk](https://ergodriven.com/products/the-ergodriven-standing-desk) would be fine!
Here’s how I see the standing desk market right now, in January 2026. **“Amazon Specials” like Claiks, ErGear, HUANUO etc. - Primary consideration: Budget.** These are frankly total trash, probably even worse than the cardboard boxes I used for my first few years of standing. **Flexispot - Primary consideration: Value.** Buy here if your first consideration is budget but you don’t want garbage. Stick to E7 and above. **Secretlab - Primary consideration: Cable Management.** Buy here if you’re a gamer and/or you just can’t stand to see a cord. **Uplift - Primary consideration: Corporate Sales.** Buy here if you’re a purchasing manager (at work or at home). No one ever got fired for buying IBM. **DeskHaus - Primary consideration: Stability.** Buy here if you want to absolutely annihilate any and all wobble or sway, or if you need to support a massive desktop. **Branch - Primary consideration: Apartment Chic.** Buy here if your home office is also your living room. And where we think we fit in: **Ergodriven - Primary consideration: Ergonomics.** Buy here if you actually want to use your standing desk. That’s the need we identified. While these brands have innovated around the edges, no one has actually improved the ergonomics of standing desks in 10+ years. We all know the true benefit of standing desks isn’t just standing - it’s movement - both while you’re standing, and in changing positions throughout the day. Experts recommend switching between sitting and standing 20+ times per day. For example, the human ergonomics program at Cornell recommends the 20-8-2 rule: in every 30 minute period, sit 20 mins, stand 8 mins, and move/stretch for 2 mins. That is a lot to manage, especially when you have work to focus on. It’s 2026. You shouldn’t be relying on willpower or setting phone timers to remember to use your expensive desk for its only purpose. **Your desk should monitor your presence and position, and automatically move for you.** That's what we think anyway. So that’s exactly what our Tempo Desk does. It’s the only standing desk you’re guaranteed actually to use! And so far people love it! You can see reviews on [this page](https://ergodriven.com/products/the-ergodriven-standing-desk). BTW if you already have one of those desks above (or have your heart set on them for the totally valid reasons I listed), you can still get our [Tempo controller](https://ergodriven.com/products/tempo-smart-controller-for-standing-desks) and just swap out your controllers in a few minutes (Tempo is compatible with all the brands above - and many others - except the “Amazon Specials”).
I think two leg is definitely enough for most people. But if you really hate any and all wobble or you have an extra heavy set up the E7 plus is a very nice desk

If your doctor is telling you to do it, you should get one you'll actually use! :) That said, I think the Flexispot E7+ is a great choice. But since you're curious, as someone who works in the industry, here's a quick explainer on brands (in my opinion): **“Amazon Specials” like Claiks, ErGear, HUANUO etc.** - Primary consideration: Budget. And where we think we fit in: **[Ergodriven](https://ergodriven.com) - Primary consideration: Ergonomics.** Buy here if you actually want to use your standing desk, because [the Tempo desk](https://ergodriven.com/products/the-ergodriven-standing-desk) monitors your presence and position and automatically moves your desk for you before you end up stuck in one position too long. FYI if you end up picking up one of those desks above for the totally valid reasons I listed, you can still get a [Tempo controller](https://ergodriven.com/products/tempo-smart-controller-for-standing-desks) and just swap out your controllers in a few minutes (Tempo is compatible with all the brands above - and many others - except the “Amazon Specials”).
Yes, you can cancel a suggested move by hitting any button, or toggling the body of the controller (the whole thing is a paddle switch). The "standard way of interacting with Tempo is what we call "Cruise Control". You pick a standing duration / interval (say 40/60 minutes). Then let's say, you start standing up. After ~40 minutes of you being actually present at the desk, Tempo's screen will turn on and start a 15 second countdown timer: "Sitting in 15 .... 14 .... 13" When it hits 8 seconds remaining, it will "pulse" your desk a bit to let you know a move is coming in case you didn't notice the screen light up. At any point in the 15 second countdown, hitting any button will cancel the move. You can also stop a move that's in progress and manually move the desk to any height or send to a preset. You can also always double click the paddle down to pause cruise control, or add time to an existing pause. Double clicking up cancels the pause. Back to our example, if you don't stop the move, it will move to your sitting preset. Then ~20 minutes later, it will start counting down for a move back to your standing preset and the cycle repeats! There's lots of other cool stuff you can do, but that's the main flow!
IMO Jarvis is about 10% nicer and typically waaaaay more expensive. E7 is still plenty quiet, fast, and stable, and is the right pick between the two for most people.
Flexispot E7 is the best option for most people. Great value
I haven't used the v3 yet, but I've used the v2 and the e7 plenty. I'd say the difference is not worth it.

When I hear “cozy corner” and “living room”, I tend to think of Branch, that’s kind of their vibe. E7 and E7 Pro are totally fine. The overwhelming majority of standing desks out in the world have two legs and most users don’t notice any wobble
Jarvis desk is made by Jiecang (same as Uplift and Deskhaus). Flexispot is made by Loctek. I have a Jarvis and a Flexispot E7. The Jarvis is like 5-10% nicer. Slightly quieter, and slightly more stable at standing height. But the E7 is already plenty good, I think provides better value. I haven’t tried the E7 Pro but I would imagine it’s basically identical to Jarvis and Uplift V2. That said, I wouldn’t go below an E7.
FYI we recently launched our own desks and we went with Loctek in part because they deliver great frames at a great value, and as others have said, all the frames on the market are very similar. We were interested in innovating with the technology for controlling the desk instead.
At this price point, I’d actually recommend going with the E7 Plus. Its stable four-legged design totally outclasses these three models when it comes to stability.
Our E7 plus 4-leg standing desk can go to 26", with 1" desktop, will be 27", our E7 plus max, a more stable 4-leg standing desk model, can also go to 25.8"
At standing height, when you’re typing or moving the mouse around, even with bigger motions, the monitor doesn’t really show any noticeable shake. That’s the level you get with the E7 Plus. If you lean on the desk a bit, or rest your chin on your hands while moving them around, you’ll see some visible wobble on the E7 Plus. With the E7 Plus Max though, that doesn’t happen, even if you give it a little push, there’s hardly any movement.
If you want better stability, the E7 Plus is the way to go. Or, if you’re willing to stretch your budget a little more, the E7 Plus Max is an absolute tank, rock solid.
Honestly, this applies to pretty much any standing desk out there. Even our most stable model, the E7 Plus Max, will have some wobble at standing height. That’s just the nature of adjustable desks. If you want zero movement at all, then it wouldn’t really be adjustable anymore. As for why you’ll see totally mixed opinions on stability, that’s actually pretty normal. It really comes down to how people use the desk and how sensitive they are to wobble. Some folks mostly sit, even if they bought a standing desk. As long as the build quality is solid, pretty much all of our desks feel very stable when seated. Models like the E2 or E5 are more than enough in that case. Then you’ve got people who stand occasionally, maybe for a quick meeting or browsing. In that scenario, the E2 can feel a bit shaky, the E5 is noticeably better, and the E7 series are more stable. That’s usually where opinions start to split. And then there are users who stand a lot, lean on the desk, or really put weight into it. At that point, the E5 kind of drops out, and you’re really looking at the E7 series and up. Even then, if someone is super sensitive to monitor shake, they might still feel like the E7 or E7 Pro moves too much, while the E7 Plus or E7 Plus Max feel a lot more solid. But others are totally fine with the E7 and E7 Pro. So yeah, it’s less about one “right” answer and more about matching the desk to how you actually use it.
