Have the one with the 4 motorized legs. Rock solid. Highly recommended. Used the have one with only 2 legs and was a bit wobbly.

2nd this. I just bought 2 L-shaped from Flexispot and very impressed with the build quality and materials.

At places like Flexispot and Uplift, you can always purchase the L frame and then get two of their 30" depth desktops separately, you would just need to drill your own pilot holes. If you are ok with at least one side being 30" deep, Uplift's is 30" deep on the main side and 27.5" on the return side. If you want 30" depth on both sides with no extra drilling, Progressive Desk's L desk has some size combinations with 30" depth on both sides. If you aren't happy with any of those, you can also try getting the frame from wherever you want and then getting a local woodworker to make the desktop to your exact specs.

Personally I think it would be worth it but Flexispot is a good cheaper choice.

So I started a desk setup YouTube channel a little over 2 years ago now and one of the items I would get sent pretty early on were standing desks. So I covered a ton of them through reviews, sponsorships, etc. And while I’ve covered many of nice ones. We bought the cheapest one we could find at the time on Amazon for my wife’s desk setup build. I think it was a fezibo one, which might be owned by one of the larger brands anyways. it was like $200 and while it doesn’t look nice, it’s super functional and my wife loves it. I’ve yet to run into a standing desk that doesn’t work as intended. I do have a lot of experience with vernal and flexispot. I think they are both great options because their prices are so good for what you get when it comes to low and mid tier options. What I liked about vernal is how easy the assembly process was and yes, the accessories. The last video I did with them was for a solid wood top standing and the quality was great. It was for a desk setup build for a friend and I was sad I was giving it to him and not keeping it for myself. lol But if you want stability at standing height, 4 legged standing desks are the way to go. I’ve never seen a two legged standing desk that doesn’t wobble quite a bit at standing heights. I personally kept a 4 legged standing desk I was sent by flexispot and use it as my top down filming desk because I don’t have to worry about stability. And I have it on wheels.

I run a YouTube channel on desk setups mainly and have been sent so many standing desks over the last two years. Lol. Here are my findings: -My wife bought a cheap fezibo for $250 and she still uses it. Not the best looking, but still works for her. -Flexispot and Vernal are the best value for your money and solid desks with different price points. Well within your budget and even under $400 with sales. -All two legged standing desks wobble at standing heights. Even the expensive secret lab magnus pro. The only way to mostly get rid of a lot of wobble is to have a 4 legged standing desk. I actually kept one from flexispot that’s 4 legs as a work bench for shooting content. -With your budget, I would focus on the look and features that are important for you. Things like depth and size for your needs as well. Accessories that come with it like a cable management tray, etc. -If you use clamp on accessories, check to make sure the desk will support that on almost all the edges. I’ve found some desk designs don’t allow you to easily use clamp on accessories which I like to use. -Always looks at real video or customer pictures of the desk before you buy it. I’ve seen brands over saturate their marketing pictures. And when it comes in, it looks dull or quite different.

I had one of the Ikea ones when they first started doing them maybe a decade ago. It was OK but I found I left it down a lot of the time and if I was standing I wasn't standing in a great posture anyway. Biggest thing was that it had no memory so it was always a bit of a faff going from one to the other and tweaking it up and down a bit to get it right. Ended up in the kids room. Due to change rooms around again at home so I'm tempted to try a Flexispot (with position memory this time). I found it was good for the afternoon lull you sometimes get although my WFH routine rarely has me sitting for hours at a time, I have a wireless headset and wander about if it's a long call, or nip downstairs to make a drink through the day.

We’ve had one off Amazon since 2020. For the price it’s great. No wobble issues even on carpet when fully extended. The motor isn’t the smoothest or quietest but functionally fine. It tweaks out some times and need to unplug for a sec but motor seems fine after 5 years. Got the cheaper wood laminate top and it doesn’t look tacky and the surface has held up well to daily WFH duties. I’ve used $3000 wood top ones and they for sure look nice but there are diminishing returns.
