I got a frame from Amazon (SANODESK EZ1) for about £120 and a big bit of plywood and some woodstain from B&Q. I like it, it works fine.

I’m happy with mine from flexispot. I just got the legs and used a table top I already had. It’s nice to be able to adjust sitting height too.

Yes they are worth it as long as you can get in the habit of using it. £500 is a lot though unless it's something special. You can pick up electric ones around £100-£150. I managed to pick up one similar to https://amzn.eu/d/9vay5nR on sale for £70. Integrated sockets aren't worth the extra to me. My preference would be to mount an extension lead underneath to hide them away. You can also get various mounting options for diy like this https://amzn.eu/d/hjQWlwC

I got a flexispot frame and added my own worktop and absolutely love it. Have been using it for a couple of years with no issues and it goes up higher than any other desk I tried which is great for my height

I have an ikea countertop and a flexispot standing desk frame and it’s the best decision ever.

I bought a flexispot but just the frame as I already had a desktop I wanted to use from Ikea - it was £135 and really easy to fit

I got a flexispot frame for £135, I already had a top I wanted to use from Ikea which was dirt cheap so just bought the frame. One reason I wanted a flexispot is it goes lower as well as higher. I’m average height (5ft6) and the average desk is too high for me (70 cm) so having something which goes lower is just as important as something which goes higher. Going to grab a stool to go with it

It’s great, I’ve had one for about a year. I bought a frame from Flexispot, and a nice desk top from Ikea. Monitor is on an arm so that’s also adjustable. I spend about half the day standing, half sitting. Buy a decent chair to go with it though.

I did the same, got a nice frame from flex spot and a massive fuckoff piece of oak that I couldn’t even get up the stairs without help. Definitely worth it and much nicer than the plastic mdf stuff they have.

I bought Flexispot's frame and put my own timber top on it, the sit stand frame has been great for about 2 years now.
