Yes they are worth it as long as you can get in the habit of using it. £500 is a lot though unless it's something special. You can pick up electric ones around £100-£150. I managed to pick up one similar to https://amzn.eu/d/9vay5nR on sale for £70. Integrated sockets aren't worth the extra to me. It’s great, I’ve had one for about a year. I bought a frame from Flexispot, and a nice desk top from Ikea. Monitor is on an arm so that’s also adjustable. I spend about half the day standing, half sitting. Buy a decent chair to go with it though.

I did the same, got a nice frame from flex spot and a massive fuckoff piece of oak that I couldn’t even get up the stairs without help. Definitely worth it and much nicer than the plastic mdf stuff they have.
