Pleasant-Cup3385 1.0In my house we have three standing desks made from IKEA butcher block counter tops. Two bases are from IKEA and the third is a famisky from Amazon where I bought the desk and changed the top. All three are reliable with no technical issues. I like the famisky because it has presets, though the ikea bases are more substantial and move more smoothly. The ikea bases are all more than 5 years old with no issues. I bought the famisky in 2023.
Yikes44 1.0I made a standing desk just using an Ikea Billy Bookcase and adding an extra piece of wood onto one of the adjustable shelves to make it big enough for my laptop. You could try something like that before you buy a proper one, just to test it out. I quite liked it.
