I'm using an [Uplift Standing Desk V2](https://www.upliftdesk.com/2-leg-standing-desk/?4275=4865&4276=4654&4279=3821&27944=20608&4280=11390&10958=8704&14905=11667) with the C frame. When I got it they were still reasonably priced, but I'd say if it's in budget they make good stuff. I recently helped a friend with their [Desky](https://desky.com/) and the quality seemed really good and their customer service team was really good. They were also one of the few that could get a L shaped desk with a low enough setting for her shorter seated height. Both Uplift and Desky also were some of the few that hard a deep enough desktop, 24in deep seems to be pretty standard but we both wanted 30in. Whichever desk you end up with, I'd recommend splurging on a control pod that has preset one touch memory options. Having to hold the button down, even on a preset, for the entire time the desk is in motion gets wearisome. It sounds trivial (and yeah it kinda is), but if you're constantly changing the height of the desktop it will be something you have to deal with each and every time. My work supplied desk is like that and it drives me nuts. I can't say I use the standing desk at home or in the office for standing as much as I do seated, tho it does get moved in to that position from time to time. Really my main reason was getting it so that my seat height was correct for me. I always found desk heights to either be a too high or too low situation and being able to customize the height to a just right level was a god send. After having to get carpal surgery on both wrists, I really started paying a lot more attention to ergonomics and do not regret the cost of a proper desk, chair, monitor arms and keyboard one bit after the fact.
r/homeoffice • WFH folks, what's YOUR best pick of Height Adjustable Standing Desk? Do you really use it? ->I've had three standing desks over the last 7 years: * Started with a VIVO dual motor from Amazon; broke just after 3 year warranty mark * Replaced with Uplift V2 C-Frame in 2021; made a custom top; killer desk, I still have this in my shop * Currently running SecretLab Magnus Pro; even more killer of a desk The Uplift desk is great. I have it sitting on 3" casters and even still it is very stable. The Magnus Pro feels beefier in every way; the weight and rigidity is next level. I got the Magnus for the specific features (cable management, magnets, etc) and appearance. I can't speak to long term reliability but I can say both the Uplift and Secretlab are tanks and remain stable at height for my 6'3 frame. Both desks have a laptop and one 32" display. The Uplift uses an arm, the Secretlab display is on a stand. Edit: As for usage, I do stand multiple times a day. Mostly if I'm in a meeting and my watch tells me it's time to get up. If I'm not in a meeting, well, I go walk around the house or something.
r/homeoffice • WFH folks, what's YOUR best pick of Height Adjustable Standing Desk? Do you really use it? ->I think Uplift have a heavy (4 leg) model. I have the two leg and very happy with it
r/StandingDesk • Recommendations for a 300 pound desk to support a 4 monitor pallet? ->I think the Ergotron XL arm fits. That's what I use on my 2 leg model, although parents poster is correct that the 4 leg model has a thicker top. I've found cheaper monitor mounts just sag so badly over time. For reference on my 2 leg I have 2 x 27" and 1 x 49" monitors as well as the laptop and PC + accessories and a 10" rack and I'm _at_ the limit of what the desk can handle. It's still pretty impressive load tho'
r/StandingDesk • Recommendations for a 300 pound desk to support a 4 monitor pallet? ->I think Uplift would fit with almost all your criteria if you wanted to do minimal DIY stuff. Motorized with programmable presets 48" width Considered to have good stability for a 2 legged desk. Available in C frame with or without a crossbar. The crossbar is for side to side stability, something not really needed for most desk use cases. Uplift states that the standard V2 with wedges has equivalent side to side stability as their desk with the crossbar. The crossbar version is mainly to maintain side to side stability with a lower minimum height. Standard desk shape with a good height range. Large amount of desktop options that are predrilled. It comes with a cable management tray that has an adhesive and two screws. Drilling/screwing accessories is really not as difficult as it may seem but with the amount of stuff you have, you probably don't even need a cable management tray. Using the supplied sticky back cable tie mounts and some zip ties, you can easily use the frame of the desk itself to manage your cables. If you don't like that, there are some lighter/smaller cable management raceways that can be attached using adhesive like this https://www.amazon.com/6X15-7in-Management-Install-Self-Adhesive-Organizer/dp/B07Q8QN5CB?th=1. They have tons of accessories which makes it a one stop shop, but you can find better deals for most of them from other places like Amazon. Grommet holes are more of a personal preference but remember that grommet holes can be added but cannot be removed or moved. Just one power strip is all that you need but if you wanted to mount it to the desk without drilling, they do have power strips that mount to the frame. Most available monitor arms clamp onto the back or have the option to switch for grommet mount, so there is no issue with adding those later.
r/StandingDesk • Help Choosing a Reliable Standing Desk – Advice Needed! ->If you are using a free standing monitor base and only using the desk at the seated position, the 2 leg Uplift would be more than enough.
r/StandingDesk • Recommendations for a 300 pound desk to support a 4 monitor pallet? ->The Uplift V2 and V2 Commercial have additional features to increase the side to side stability (wedges on the column for the V2 and a crossbar for the V2 Commercial). The V3 supposedly has similar/better stability to the v2 without the wedges. The Uplift also has accessories that will bolt directly to the frame, which may interest those who don't want to or can't mount things to the desktop.
r/StandingDesk • I Just Want A Clear Cut Answer And Conversation On What Standing Desk I Should Get With 1.3k/1.6k ->I've been using an Uplift V2 commercial C-frame L shaped desk base for 3 years and love it. I custom made my own topper with some elbow grease and scrap I had laying around to lower the overall cost, but it holds up well. I can only speak to what I have, but their other frames came highly recommended at the time.
r/workfromhome • What's the best standing desk for WFH in 2025? ->I am 5’4” and I have the Uplift C2 Commercial Frame and it goes low enough for me. The specs say it will go down to 21”
r/StandingDesk • Stable height adjustable desk for short people ->I have a dual monitor setup with two laptops on it and it is stable enough for me. I am standing at it right now typing and I do not notice any wobble on my screens. I do see a little vibration on my laptop screen as that is on a monitor arm. For normal use I find it to be good. It will move if I lean on it or push it but any two leg is going to do that.
r/StandingDesk • Stable height adjustable desk for short people ->/r/overemployed is calling!! :-) I used to use one UpLift 90x30. I think even with that size you will be hard pressed (maybe if you have 2 extensions that will be enough to have all your laptops lined up and then kvm switch to your monitors) Now I use 2 90x30 UpLifts. One for 3 x 43 inch monitors and then the other for the actual computer and laptop, NAS, other random stuff.
r/StandingDesk • Best adjustable standing desk for 3 laptops, 2 monitors, and KVM switch ->Uplift frame and ikea/Home Depot top
r/homeoffice • Standing desk under $500 - what do you guys use? ->Uplift. I got a 48"x30" and an 80"x30" to form an "L" shaped desk. However, I realized that I was not going to utilize most of the corner where the two tables "connect" and I instead moved the longer table to the opposite wall and put in a bookcase. I miss having the desks together, but the 30" depth of the tables made it so that I would not use the majority of that corner area. The long desk is used for projects such as architectural model-making (Masters of Architecture program) with space for all of the desired accoutrements and the smaller desk is for the computer monitors, speakers, mic, USB strip, some pens/pencils, and keyboard tray.
