I have a 8 year old v2. 6' long with a plain white top. It's more of a workbench than desk. No frills, it just goes up and down when I need it to.

Don't forget to budget for power distributors, USB hubs/chargers and Monitor arms (I use Ergotron XL). I always am short of USB ports lolz (too many esp32) I also put a small 10" rack on my desk to hold the USB hun and ethernet switch.
