I have an uplift desk and love it. It wasn’t cheap, but it’s built really well. Very solid, doesn’t shake, etc. Plus, I love how you can customize it and get accessories that mount right to it. I have the 72” curved corner desk. I’m able to put my personal PC (an all-in-one) mounted to an arm on the left, my work laptop in a tablet stand on the right, and 2 24” monitors on monitor arms in the center. The cables are well hidden and all plug into their power strip that mounts under the desk. There’s only 1 cable running to the wall to power the desk and everything.
At places like Flexispot and Uplift, you can always purchase the L frame and then get two of their 30" depth desktops separately, you would just need to drill your own pilot holes. If you are ok with at least one side being 30" deep, Uplift's is 30" deep on the main side and 27.5" on the return side. If you want 30" depth on both sides with no extra drilling, Progressive Desk's L desk has some size combinations with 30" depth on both sides. If you aren't happy with any of those, you can also try getting the frame from wherever you want and then getting a local woodworker to make the desktop to your exact specs.
The Uplift V2 and V2 Commercial have additional features to increase the side to side stability (wedges on the column for the V2 and a crossbar for the V2 Commercial). The V3 supposedly has similar/better stability to the v2 without the wedges. The Uplift also has accessories that will bolt directly to the frame, which may interest those who don't want to or can't mount things to the desktop.
I think the Desky would be worth it over the one on Wayfair. The Wayfair one's desktop is in three pieces, so you will have two joints down the depth of the desk. Warranty is a good indicator of the company's faith in their product, so I would go with the longer warranty. Their site doesn't show that the 10 year warranty is something you would purchase like an extended warranty, so it should come with your purchase of the desk. I have a Deskhaus desk that I am very happy with and have used an Uplift desk that was also great. I believe Desky's desk is also manufactured by the same company, Jiecang, except the Deskhaus Apex is manufactured in their US factory. Uplift would be a good one stop shop for you. They just came out with their v3 but I don't know how it compares to their v2. Deskhaus has their Peak series that is comparable to the Uplift v2, but I don't know if you are willing to wait for it to come back to stock. The Deskhaus Apex is a great desk and I love it, but I don't see it's worth anymore compared to the Peak unless you really want something American made.
The Uplift v2 24"depth commercial frame gets to around 13" of clearance per their 3d model file, but it does have a crossbar that some people do not love. You could get their V3 frame, shift the frame towards the back of the desktop, and drill your own pilot holes, but that may cause clearance issues with the grommets and cable manager. A cheap/simple solution is to install a keyboard tray to the desk you just got. They are usually thin, brings the keyboard to the ideal height, and provides knee clearance. If you are not a fan of keyboard trays and your desktop is sturdy enough, you could try getting lifting columns individually, like from Progressive Automations, and put them on the corners.
I have an autonomous desk at home, and just got an UPLIFT desk with a return at work. I do two hours up, two hours down. It helps my legs from getting stiff throughout the day. The free foot hammock is nice when I'm sitting. Both of them are holding a triple monitor mount without shaking.
I just got one and it's full of fingerprints - would not recommend.
Which desks have you had that have been disappointing? I’m using an Uplift V3 and it’s been great so far.
Well I just had an uplift v3 delivered. 80x30. Will report back in a bit on how it’s going
Had mine for nearly 6 years and would recommend
Seconding this desk! I feel like the mechanics are super smooth and the desk is very stable
