Based on 1 year's data from Feb 24, 2026 How it works
I have a varidesk pro which goes on top of an existing desk! but i found and have see many on FB marketplace. not so fancy but does the job haha
yea I like it works very well and was about 60!
Varidesk are the gold standard. But have a look on Facebook marketplace as you might often get a good deal from someone who is downsizing or moving m Any standing desk is better than nothing and even the cheap ones from Officeworks (Matrix?) For around $300 that sit on top of a table are decent.
I got a VariDesk about 5 years ago and I love it. I typically switch between sitting and standing in the morning, but after lunch I stand for several hours while my food digests. I also have a walking pad and will walk at a slow pace while I work.
I have a VariDesk and it’s super solid, no wobbling at any height
Varidesk has one that sits on top of your current desk and easily pops up and down. Had one for years at my last job.
Independence day sales are right around the corner. Likely cant go wrong with standing desks that costco sells. Ive personally only had varidesk in my home and they are fine for the price if bought on sale. A tad bit wobbly especially when raised in the standing position but not terrible by any means. Ive heard great things about DeskHaus brand but they may be out of your price range unless they have a massive sale, or you decide the higher quality is worth the money. Hope this helps a little, if you have the opportunity to see the desk in person and test the sturdiness that would be best. For example, you could go to your nearest costco warehouse to see how you like the standing desk(s) they have in stock.
i got a standing desk during my last pregnancy and it was a game changer. i went with a vari desk converter at first because it was cheaper, but eventually upgraded to a full uplift. for under $500, check out flexispot or fully's lower-end models - they often have sales. make sure to check the weight capacity if you're like me and pile things on it.
Just jumped into this sub today because I got my first standing desk. The Vari I just bought adjusts from 25" to 50" More expensive than the other brands I looked at i the same size and weight capacity ranges.
I've never used an Uplift, but I've been really happy with my Vari desk, which looks to be the same general design as the Uplift desks and around the same price.
I love my vari. It’s pricey but really well built. I’d buy a cheap but good one from Amazon and see if you’d like it or use it. Then upgrade. I’ve used a few different types so knew what I wanted when I went remote
I’ve had mine since 2020 and I love it. It’s gone through a couple of moves and it’s still going strong. Admittedly, I don’t use the motor as often as I should.
