If you’re considering Vernal for an L-shape, I’d say it’s worth a look. Especially if stability matters with a 49" ultrawide. I switched from an Amazon frame to a Vernal L desk a few months ago and the difference in wobble + weight support was actually noticeable. The way the frame supports the return side feels more solid than most “budget L-shapes” I tried before. Uplift is solid too, but if you want sth that doesn’t feel bouncy at standing height, Vernal surprised me in a good way. Not trying to sway either way just sharing loll.

r/remoteworkHas anyone tried these mobile standing desks for WFH? Considering this $34 one

Don't underestimate how important stability is for standing desks, I tried a few and the only one I've been happy with was a Vernal desk that ended up costing a fortune (comparatively). Worth it though

I went for a Vernal desk - they do loads of different sizes, I went for an L-shaped one. I paid about £700 though.

I've found it great so far. The only thing I didn't enjoy was building it!

Look up Vernal. I just got an L desk in walnut and it looks really good.

r/StandingDeskBest wooden desk for a warm home office (mid-range vs premium)?

If you're already happy with Vernal's build/finish, I'd honestly stick with it, Its hard to beat that warm premium wood look for the price. I'm using an L-shaped desk from them and the whole setup feels super solid, plus the motor has been smooth and quiet for daily use

Thank you! I ended up going with the Vernal which I think was a good decision. Just installed their L last night and found the process to be really impressive (great documentation and prefilled holes and packaging). I might find myself in a similar spot tho re: laziness as standing desks are new for me!

I got a Vernal L shaped desk, the entire L desk raises and lowers and it has been incredibly stable. Highly recommend!

I’ve got a Vernal and it’s very sturdy and seems to be high quality. I got the L desk and haven’t had any issues

I got a white L shaped one. Delivery came quick. Well packaged. No issues. It’s a heavy solid desk. Not much wobble even at standing height, way less wobble than the Herman Miller ones I have at work at same height.

r/StandingDeskVernal vs Uplift: my thoughts
5 days ago

I recently moved to a bigger apt and i spent days researching which desk to get, without any real result, so I figured that I’d put this up for anyone in the same boat! The Goal: I previously had an Uplift V3 but i never felt like i had enough space, especially in depth. Being too close to my monitor meant more eye strain, which was starting to really mess with me. My hope was to find a motorized, large, L-shaped standing desk that was stable and wouldn’t shake too much when i walked on my underdesk treadmill. The Specs: I narrowed it down to 1. Vernal Core 3 L-shape—This desk is 79x71 with a depth of 29.5 on the main side and 27.5 on the return. The cost before discounts or accessories was $859.99 or 2. Uplift L-Shaped Laminate Standing Desk—the comparable size was 72x78 with a depth of 30 on the main side and 27.5 on the return. The cost before accessories or discounts was $2079.00 The Choice Obviously, the Vernal appealed to me more because of the price point, but i couldn’t find any reviews that felt thorough and reliable. I was concerned about the stability and the quality. Having owned an uplift (though my V3 was a solid wood top and this L-shaped on would be laminate as the solid wood L desk starts at 3500), I knew I could trust them to deliver what they said they would. In the end, I decided to pull the trigger on the Vernal desk and was SO shocked by the quality of it that I had to write this review to save other people the heartache of looking lol The Result: Again, I’ve owned an Uplift. I don’t think the quality is much different at all, and I think the L-desk’s laminate top would narrow that gap even further. The motor sound is exactly the same, adnd the desk is completely stable when I walk! I was actually MORE impressed by the Vernal’s instructions, ease of building, and little bonus touches that I was with the Uplift. The details: Small things, but I like that the Vernal motor control sits along the edge, rather than under the desk like Uplift’s does. Verbal provided much better cable management without any upgrade accessories. Vernal provides little rubber stoppers for the big O-shaped breaks in the supports, as well as a screw sleeve to keep you from losing the screws during building. The instructions were incredibly clear and even included a cardboard box of extra tools in case anything went missing. The holes in the desktop (where you could put circular power strips or a cupholder) came with plastic covers with a swivel slice opening to allow you to pass cables through. Okay, I think that’s it! Hopefully this helps someone and I’m happy to take questions!

Vernal has an excellent walnut vener and a few other wood tones, bamboo and a couple actual wood options.
