I have 250km in the 361 futra’s. Decent shoe for the price and perfect for road to trail. They do feel like a road shoe with a Vibram sole however and can be a bit too plush with a bit too much stack and drop for some people when trail running although I had no problems initially. The mid foot is starting to get tears on both feet but still usable. I think if you can get them cheap definitely worth it if you like a softer ride and are used to max cushion road shoes. I recently invested in some norda 001’s to get a bit of a firmer ride, more ground feel and better durability for longer distance runs and I’m loving them so far. Would never pay full price but found them on sale for £180. Most people seem to get over 1000kms in them so should be more economical.
I owned several pairs of 361 (although not the Futura) and I have been positively impressed with them. It used to be fairly easy to find them on sale, which is not the case now; i then stopped buying them as it didn't make sense to buy them at 170-180 EUR (full price), but my experience was always positive
361° Futuras would be perfect for this. 👌
I’ve also considered this issue and posted about it before. My most recent thought was 361 Futuras. I have some arriving this week but they are 6mm lugs with lots of cushioning like a road shoe. Not hugely light but I want them for long steady runs mixing muddy footpaths, fields, gravel tracks and tarmac. If you are interested I’ll let you know how they go when they arrive (for context I’m 40, 73kg, run on and off for whole life, 1.16 half at my best, probably around 1.22ish now at a guess, prefer a more cushioned shoe).
If you're mainly using them for Parkrun, then have a look at the Inov8 Parkclaw. Altra's and Adidas Terrax come highly recommended by friends. My personal preference would be 361 Furtura, for a road to trail shoe. Or 361Meraki for plush, cushioned, all-day/ultra shoe.
I find these really comfortable to wear, but the uppers too flexible for uneven terrain.
Try to check out chinese brands online. They are catching up to known brands sa road running. I bought a 361 degrees trail shoes. Ok naman.
