I ran my first 50 on adidas TERREX flow 2’s. Wouldnt recommend. But have since switched to their agravic Speed (not the ultra) and they really worked for me. Reasonably aggressive but surprisingly supple without being unbalanced. Agravic 3 seem pretty well reviewed around the YouTube parts, but I haven’t tried those yet.

For me in wet terrain with rocks, the best is Asicsgrip (6). After that, probably Vibram (tried in Hoka and Nike shoes), Contagrip in Salomon Speedcross 4 and Continental in various Adidas models. Here, some variation between them (for example, Continental in Adidas Terrex Two Flow is better than in Adidas Terrex Agravic Flow 2.0 (so a 4 for them). After those, probably the outsole by La Sportiva (in Jackal model) and various Nike outsoles (Kiger 8, Wildhorse 6, Pegasus 4 TR) in wet terrain (btw, in mid Spring to mid Autumn, Nike are pretty nice shoes here)

I’ve had two pairs of Agravic Flow 2 - I like the non gore-tex ones better for winter runs where I know I’ll be hitting mud and slippy stuff. They’re stiff AF but super supportive and seem indestructible compared to uppers in the Adizero range which my big toes rip holes in

Merrills actually made my ankles turn inward - something with the insole and it messed with my gait. I ended up getting a pair of Men's Salomon trail runners (much better ankle alignment for me) and a pair of Adidas Terrex Free 2.0 Gore-tex. It's the style like the picture (I have a different colorway), NOT the newer one with a sock-type top. I've worn the Salomons just as a sneaker from time to time but the Adidas have been great - I've hiked in So. Utah with them and the Gore-tex saved my ass at Bonnaroo this year too when it got rained out lol I found mine at a discount chain and paid about a 1/4 of retail for them. https://preview.redd.it/p77fx4shfeef1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ab4e8996e83f271d0e841ed17e26d02f107cf4e7

I love the Salomon XA Pro 3D. The Adidas Terrex Aggravic Trail are my favorites, though. Damn they’re comfortable.

Try Brooks, Hoka, Nike, Merrell, Altra, Asics, Salomon, New Balance. They have models at different price points. Pero okay din yang Terrex aggravic series ni Adidas as I'm seeing it on a lot of races even on ultras at maganda naman daw.

You could try the adidas Terrex Agravic, they’re adidas trail runners There’s also the adidas Free Hiker which are their premium hiking shoes/boots, they come in high and low top with boost midsole so they’ll be similar to their boost running shoes

Got some adidas terrex agravic half price last year. Yesterday I noticed the toe a bit pinchy so might want to go up half a size if you get them. I've ran many half marathons in them no problem.
