That clarifies why the Ultra was 50% off on the Adidas website… Anyway, just bought the Speed. It feels amazing. :) But there was indeed not a big difference between the previous models. So, all these changes make sense.
I have the Speed and it is awesome already. Now they open that window for you to run on top of the lightstrike pro... I can definitely see the appeal. It makes me wonder if that's what the 2026 adizeros, like the Boston 14, will become.
Non ultra version is my shorter race trail shoe
I’ve found Adidas lightstrike pro to be the most durable super foam in terms of retaining responsiveness, the Adidas Terrex Ultra line would fit the bill. Where a lot of super foams lose that bounce around 100-150 miles lightstrike pro tends to go strong for me until around 300 anecdotally. If we’re talking daily trainers and not super foams, Norda and Mount To Coast both boast of using foams with much more durability than competitors, but I haven’t purchased a pair myself.
I run in normal non-spiked running shoes. Currently I have Adidas Terrex Agravic Speed when I need more grip. And slow down if I feel I might slip. There are better, watweproof and whatnot running shoes out there, but for me personally they're a bit of an overkill as roads and even trails are usually pretty well cleaned where I live.

I ran my first 50 on adidas TERREX flow 2’s. Wouldnt recommend. But have since switched to their agravic Speed (not the ultra) and they really worked for me. Reasonably aggressive but surprisingly supple without being unbalanced. Agravic 3 seem pretty well reviewed around the YouTube parts, but I haven’t tried those yet.
[Adidas Terrex Agravic Speed’s I paid $63 for them on close out BC version 2 is coming out.](https://believeintherun.com/shoe-reviews/adidas-terrex-agravic-speed-review/) They have OG Lightstrike Pro (same foam as the Adios Pro 3 super shoe) with a firmer cup of Lightstrike on top that your foot drops in to help with stability / support. They do run slightly large, I went down a 1/2 size and they fit perfect. I’ve used them on road to trail and really happy with them.
Way better than I expected! Very good
