Versatile road-to-trail, but struggles on wet, technical downhills.

Running these analyses costs money. Buy through my links to help keep lights on! I may get a small commission.
I got these as well. I really like them and thought if they made an Evo SL trail this is what it’d probably be like 😂 p.s I had no idea until 15 mins ago the Evo SL Trail existed.
The agravic speed is pretty nimble would say if they had a good fit you should look at the Agravic TT
That clarifies why the Ultra was 50% off on the Adidas website… Anyway, just bought the Speed. It feels amazing. :) But there was indeed not a big difference between the previous models. So, all these changes make sense.
I'm looking for something to get me through a 75km ultra, very technical but not much elevation (~1500m+). I'm aiming at ~5:30-6:00min/km pace average over the course. I've stumbled upon a couple of people talking about these Pumas and I'm very interested but the lack of reviews is putting me off... I have the Agravic Speed 2 non-ultra and I love them but the comfort is garbage, I feel like I wouldn't be able to wear them for so long. Also I absolutely love the Evo SL for long runs, so the news of a proper trail version got me instantly interested. Do you think the Pumas would better fit my needs? Stability is not a concern at all, I actually prefer some ankle freedom. So I'm also a bit concerned the Pumas might be too restrictive. That's basically the only thing I hate on my otherwise amazing Velocity 4...
I tried the Speed 2 in the house, did not feel bouncy at all to m(I land outside of forefoot), and definitely not bouncy compared to these SL Trail. Also, sizing in Speed 2 is smaller - either shorter, or tighter toebox. I got the Speed 2 for GBP£84 from Very.co.uk - which is a great price, but I didn't like them so will return and keep the full price SL Trail. I've only seen one proper review of the Speed 2 - Meghan from BITR, she loves them
I’m a pretty good road runner and i have been hiking for a while now. I love boots so i never wanted to buy a pair of trail runners. This summer i want to start training for trail races. I can’t decide on a good pair of trail runners. So far i tryed: **Hoka SpeedGoat 7**: they feel stiff and my heel feels funky in them. **Adidas Terrex Agravic speed 2**: amazing fit, really light but light strike foam feels a bit too soft which can translate to instability **Asics Trabucco 14**: best fit and feeling out of all those pairs i tryed. The only concern i have is that they are really roomy meaning that they are pretty hard to fit if you take feet swelling in consideration. # Question is: what pair of trail runners you guys recommend for training and a couple 20-30k races? Are asics trabucco 14 good enough for my goals? Thanks!
