I love my Asics Trail scout 3 for trail running

I recently picked up a pair of Asics Trail Scout 3 runners because I started jogging back in January & the cheap sneakers I was using were crap for anything other than perfectly dry, smooth pavement. I have come to love them for running but also for more basic walks where my hikers feel like overkill or lumpy, narrow trails where tripping risk is increased. In my opinion, it basically comes down to preference. For me, I like the more streamlined fit of a runner because I tend to be accident-prone, making a chunky boot more of a hazard than a help for me, depending on terrain.

ASICS trail scout 3 are working great for me. Wide footprint and quite stable. Haven’t had them for more then a couple months so hard to say how they last hahah

All the very best dear friend. I'm not into trail running but i got a lovely pair of Asics Trail Scout 3. Bang for the buck @ 3.4-4k I use them for when I'm trekking without any load, kind of like a speed trek?

Not much of a runner here. But i ditched my trekking boots and took these for a recent trip to Tirthan. They're pretty sturdy and trustworthy while trekking GHNP and Raghupur. I actually did a speed descent from Raghupur. They felt really light, maybe because im too used to heavy trekking boots 🤔

Appreciate the Altra Olympus 6 rec! And I definitely plan to try any of these on, just trying to start with a long list -- haven't hiked enough in trail runners yet to know my preferences. I know that Asics trail running shoes feel great even on 20+ mile days for me, but I find that they wear out quite quickly and imagine this might be why I see them recommended less on here.
