Haha, shoe fit is definitely personal. I tried my first pair of Dynafit a few years back, and it was the first pair that i felt comfortable in the toe area without the rest of my foot rolling inside the shoe when not tying my shoelace extremely tight. Yes, I have narrow and low volume feet. I had the feline and the alpine. But I read their ultra lines are more spacious. Btw, I am from Hong Kong and the megagrip soles can handle the wet mossy muddy terrains as well as the loose sandy slopes well.

I have been using feline for technical terrain, not just because of the grip, but also the close fit makes them feel like gloves and I feel connected and thus confident when going down some pretty nasty unmarked trails. However, they are definitely not the most comfy for concrete (which unfortunately for HK is something we have to mix with trails often). well, as I only do short to medium distances, this is manageable. Alpine is a bit more cushiony than the Feline

I order new pairs of Dynafit often to try out. I’ve found their shoes to be incredibly well made but they have very little cushion. They’re also narrow, so they require sizing up by a full US size. I bought a pair of Feline SL for running in the rain and mud, but they’re so low to the ground and hard that I only use them when working in the yard.

From my experience shoes that worked best on such terrain are Salomon Genesis and La Sportiva Mutant. Other La Sportiva shoes should do well because they are generally targeted for mountain running. Also, from my experience, Dynafit shoes are well suited for mountain running. Finally, if you want to see a selection of shoes and gear in general that is targeted towards mountain running take a look at Skyrun store (https://skyrun.skimo.co/). This is a real physical store in Utah. I ordered from them several times without any issues.

Many of these are several years old.

There are no trail shoes with a pronation-support system. Such system is counterproductive on an uneven trail and can cause problems and injuries. I am running Adrenaline and Glycerine GTS as my road shoes and have x-bionic, dynafit and saucony Peregrines as my trail running shoes. X-bionic and dynafit are relatively stable, I use a special insole in Peregrines (not from orthopedics)

I find Dynafit shoes to be narrow, stiff, and hard. I prefer to rotate between my La Sportiva Jackals and Hoka Torrents. I do enjoy Dynafit skis and boots though!
