"super comfy (my knees ache so much less on descents with them) ... I can’t stress enough how much they’ve helped my bad left knee on descents."
"I've since switched to Hoka Speedgoats and all that is a distant memory. ... Super cushy ... the payback in end-of-the-day comfort is huge to me."
"I had them on my feet for 6 hours + with no pain points ... Super comfy"

"they are extremely durable. ... I’ve got well over 1000 miles out of a pair and they still have grip and the uppers are in great shape"
"I’ve done owls head, Zealand, the tris, carters, kinsman’s, twins + galehead, Madison and Adams, and Washington all in the same pair and they’re holding up well."
"the sole/durability of them is crazy good."

"As far as grip goes, all three are excellent. It's truly amazing how good they are at gripping scree, sand, and unstable terrain."

"They only take a few mins to dry out if you are wearing proper socks, wool/poly blend."

"they’re much narrower than the 5s. ... My 5s were my favorite trail shoe ever and the 6s were painfully unwearable for me. I wear a 2e wide and never had a problem with any other hoka before."
"where it bends in front by the toes is pinching the side of my foot."
"even in the men's wide I have to wrap my bunions in leukotape and still get a lot of irritation due to the toe squeeze of the tapered toe box (and I'm already going up 1/2 size)"

"I have additionally had issues with the Vibram soles delaminating from THREE SEPARATE PAIRS of Speedgoats now. So they are struggling with some quality control issues with their adhesive. ... I think their adhesive just degrades with time. The shoes were probably manufactured and sat in a warehouse long before they made their way to my feet. Plus I think the design of their sole contributes to the problem."
"they break down incredibly fast ... each time it feels like they last for a shorter number of miles ... For me, they've started breaking down after about 200 miles ... my current pair has holes in the front of the sole ... My other 2 pairs got a hole near the heel part of the sole; rocks would get in and while running they would hit my heel which was quite painful"
"Out of the box, VERY grippy, but after 100 miles of trails they’re shredded. I had to switch to protect my wallet! ... Wasn’t really the shoe itself, the lugs/tread just get worn down to nothing in my usual hiking area in San Diego county. It’s a shame, I do love the shoe, just wish Hoka would make a change to a more rugged material."

"I was running exclusively in SGs, and rolled my ankle badly thrice in three months at the end of last year."
"I might try to stay away then. I’ve been able to avoid rolls for a while but a bad one is such a big set back ... I might give those a try first. ... I’m going to give them both a try but would rather not fall in love if it’s going to get me injured haha"
"downhills my feet were all over the place"

"I find running on road in luged shoes way more uncomfortable"
I have Hoka Speedgoat 6 GTX for my 10 to 20 km runs and very happy with them.
I really like my speedgoat 6 offroad in the mud and walking in the mountains, but they lack a bit of damping for running <6min/km. So my next pair will be challenger 8's.
I've been out running through 5-10 cm of snow in my hoka speedgoat 6 GTX. The 7 just came out and should have some more cushioning (which they do need). Grip is pretty good with the vibram sole and like you say, going slow and enjoy the views 👌
I returned my speedgoat 6 gtx after only 10 days of trail running and hiking. They were trashed. Toe cap peeling, dented midsole. These are not good shoes at all.
Another vote for these. I’m loving the traction on the ice and snow and my feet are quite toasty warm!
I’m personally a fan of Hoka’s, and I think this one fits your request: https://www.hoka.com/en/us/womens-trail/speedgoat-6-gtx/1155151.html?dwvar_1155151_color=BCKT
Of the models you're considering, the only ones I haven't owned are the Asics (but my wife has had them). I currently use the Brooks A24GTX as my everyday runner and love them - I returned to them this year after getting them annually for years before switching out to Hoka for a few pairs. Nothing against the Hoka's, they're super comfy and liked them a lot. I do think the speedgoats are overkill for you, I was using them exclusively on trail runs, where they were great. I've never really had the problem with water getting in and not getting out of any of my GTX trainers but it's a complaint I hear a lot, so it might just be that I don't notice or care. My wife has always loved the Asics too, she's been very consistently wearing last years version of them for her everyday runners for years now. EDIT: forgot to say i'm an overpronater too and run between 40-50k a week.
Gtx model is waterproof with goretex. Same shoe just waterproof, $50 more and only a few colors vs the non waterproof have like 8 to 10 colors.
Hoka's for last 3yrs. Ones I have now are Speedgoat6 GTX. The GTX have goretex and are waterproof to an extent. I had a pair of Nike golf shoes 3yrs ago and had to take them off. Played hole 9 shoeless and got my sneakers at the turn. Plantar fascitis. Now I just need my knee sleeves and I jog half the course with my pushcart.
I have both the non-goretex traditional speedgoats and the ankle height goretex version. I'd get the non-goretex version, the goretex are not breathable.
I have hoka speedgoat 6s!
The 5’s were my favourite trail runner hands down. Just the right balance between cushioning and stability. The 6 was a disappointment being too stiff. Such a shame.
