I feel my Cadi, which only has regular width, is a more voluminous fit when I compare it to my Speedgoat 7 (wide).

I got these in 13 2E also. I’ve gone through 8-10 pairs of Speedgoats in 13 2E and the SG7 is definitely a half size shorter and not as wide. The new material has less give making it feel more snug.

I’ve worn Speedgoats in wide (2), the 7s didn’t seem as wide as previous models so I’m trying NNormal Cadi. They are, in size 13.5, waaay wider than a Speedgoat wide.

I went up half size to 11, and had a hot spot under the ball of my foot after one run. Returned for my normal 10.5 and feel like I get rubbing in the bunion area behind my big toe. These 7s just don’t fit like past versions. 5s were effortless. I’ve made the 10.5s work but I’ve had to use Squirrels Nut Butter in that spot and it blisters on longer runs and I’ve been blister-free for years usually. Shame, I was amped for the 7s.

My second pair of speedgoat 6’s did something similar. I liked them so much otherwise that I took the risk of buying a pair of 7’s and they are fine, so far.

It looks cool, was one of the only ones using Vibram Megagrip as standard early on before Covid made trail running more popular. As more companies either use Vibram exclusively or have a version with it, it’ll lose its edge. My main beef with hoka is that they just seem to keep adding foam (thereby increasing weight) instead of just innovating. They also messed up the mafete series so badly. People loved the mafete speed 4, should’ve just ruggedized it instead of axing it.

They were, they really were. I still check ebay randomly hoping to get lucky and find a pair.

Switched from the sg to the tomir after getting frustrated with hola continually changibg the sg design too much from year to year (long live the sg3 evo, best shoe ever). Anyways, tomir fit like a glove and broke then in in a 100k. Very happy with the change. Using the more asymmetric version too. Perfect weight, grip, responsiveness, cushion. I'm happy.

I have about 75 miles / 12000ft~ in my pair of test Speedgoat 7s and I love them. Very fun shoe and super capable, happy on the fast cruisers and equally at home on the steep technical ups / downs. Softer than the SG6 but far more responsive, this shoe wants to go fast but will happily trot at slower paces for the latter miles on a long run or ultra.

Tounge padding is pathetic! Nothing under the Hoka label not comfy when laces are tightened. Poxy cheap insoles no SC insole they just flatten after a while under the ball of the foot. Correct me if I'm wrong but pretty sure both the Tecton X3 and Maf5 have SC insoles 🤔 mine are going back I'll stick with the Kailas Fuga ex330 2025 versions 👌

All my trail shoes are size 9 except that one required a 9.5. Had pressure and rubbing on big toe in the 9. Agree with everyone it requires a half size up
