Icebugs did not work for me, they were way too narrow.
r/trailrunning • Best shoe for Ice and snow ->I purchased ice bugs last year and really like them but in the past I had always just taken an older shoe (or sometimes a new one) and had skinny raven put in the studs for a few bucks.
r/anchorage • Winter Running ->I demo'd both at Skinny Raven last winter and the Hokas are really good if you like more bounce. Ice Bugs were great but they just weren't comfortable to me on icy cement
r/anchorage • Winter Running ->Icebugs are the best. And never wear out.
r/trailrunning • Best shoe for Ice and snow ->There are also studded running shoes from Salomon and Hoka, Spikecross and Speedgoat Spike respectively. I've got the Hokas, they're wider in the forefoot than my old Icebugs.
r/anchorage • Winter Running ->I ran in Icebugs for years and they worked great, although I never liked the fit; but my middle aged knees are much happier running on squishy Hokas. I don't mind sacrificing speed for comfort.
r/anchorage • Winter Running ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
