Versatile road-to-trail, but struggles on wet, technical downhills.

Road: Hoka Clifton 9, 470 miles - every day grind Hoka Mach X 2, 51 miles - for me this counts as a fast shoe Trails: Hoka Speedgoat 6, 32 miles - fresh shoes for my Ultras this autumn Hoka Speedgoat 5, 302 miles - everyday trail shoes Inov8 Roclite G275, 343 miles - old shoes, a bit too thin feeling compared to Hokas but very flexible, good for rock scrambling and drain well
I crossed the Pyrenees in a pair of Inov-8 G275s (now discontinued). Upper gave out before the sole, but I did need to replace them after \~500km or so. You can probably stretch them for longer but I was getting foot issues.
To echo other commenters, I now wear Inov8 wide fit trail runners and road runners after struggling to find shoes that worked for my wide feet and high instep, and could not recommend more! eta: I wear Trailflys for running and smaller hikes and Rocklite Pros for longer hikes (still on a trail runner last but has ankle support which is my preference)
I find my Inov8 Roclites have very good grip on wet rock and slippery terrain in general. Although I haven't seen them in that many outdoor shops I'm afraid. Some Go Outdoors do stock them, but it doesn't seem to be all of them.
Innov8 Roclite all the way for me. (Used to use Salomon speed cross)
Provided it's not too cold (below 6-7 Celsius), I would still choose trail runners in most situations regardless of the bog factor. Definitely agree with /u/pedrobobkat77, highly recommend inov8 roclites if they fit your foot shape.
